People say the happiness of true marriage is when both partners in marriage love each other sincerely. Right now that happiness is being felt by Frans and Kara. Eight months have passed as a husband and wife, no day has passed without the happiness of their love for each other.

However, one morning Kara learns something that might change her married life. After breakfast together, Frans went to work for the company. While Kara is alone at home and takes out a pregnancy test kit. During this time she always avoids anti-pregnancy drugs and performs independent pregnancy tests secretly. He hopes to convince Frans that the curse does not exist and live happily with their children.

She promised herself that she would try to convince Frans who was always defensive on the topic of pregnancy after this.

Frans returned home when the sky was almost dark. She says goodbye to her driver and steps into the house, her love nest with Kara. As she was about to take a drink in the kitchen, she was surprised to see the dining room already decorated with beautiful candles and flowers, very romantic. On the table there are also dishes with a delicious aroma that makes his stomach feel more hungry. Understandably, he had a lot of meetings today, causing his lunch hour and meal portions to decrease. “I cooked dinner this time! Quickly clean yourself then come down to dinner,” Kara orders with a smile that does not disappear from her lips. She could not deny the happy feelings that had persisted since knowing that she was pregnant. For him, this was the most beautiful gift from God after his meeting with Frans, the man he currently loved so much.

“Good. Wait me. I'll be quick.” Frans rushed to their bedroom. She had no idea what caused Kara to seem so happy today. Whatever it is, she feels happy for him. So, she had to hurry up and taste Kara's delicious cuisine.

After cleaning up and changing into comfortable home clothes, Frans immediately went downstairs. Dinner between the two went in harmony. Frans and Kara chatted a lot and laughed together. When the two, Kara and Frans as if they will not run out of words and can chat anything. Even simple things will be a fun topic if you talk to them both. Maybe because they are suitable or because of the feeling of love that makes both of them continue to feel happy when together.

As the food on both plates was running out, Kara finally cleared her throat, preparing to say what she had planned since noon. “A friend of my school told me. She suddenly became pregnant with her boyfriend while already taking pills and using safety.” She looked at her husband who was still focused on the plate without giving a response.

“How, what if it happens to me, Frans? I was just asking, but, what if I'm pregnant?” he asked with eyes full of anticipation, looking at Frans. She was scared but also hoped Frans could answer this question with a different answer than before. She hoped her husband would change his mind, though it was impossible to change in one night. He just wanted to get a little hope from the answer.

Frans raised his gaze, looking back at Kara who was sitting right in front of him. “We've already talked about this, Kara. In accordance with our agreement, you must abort it.” He soaked his lower lip, looking troubled when he saw the look in his wife's eyes that looked sad. She wanted to hold Kara's hand but the woman quickly dodged. Breathing escaped Frans' lips. 

“Alright,” replied Kara in low voice. “I'm not feeling well. I'll go back to the room first.” He got up from the chair and left without looking at Frans at all. Of course, she would try to convince her husband again, but, for the time being she could not help the disappointment that plagued her. He needs some alone time.

Frans looked at the back of the woman he loved further and could only sigh sadly. He has no choice. 

After that several times Kara asked and persuaded Frans to change his decision about a pregnancy that might come suddenly, but, the man was very stubborn. Usually her husband often tolerates and approves of anything he wants. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to this problem. Inevitably Kara is afraid if Frans finds out and forces her to abort her womb.

The only place for Kara to tell him what happened to her is Grandma. She has been visiting her grandmother regularly since their marriage to Frans. They lived apart because of Grandma's reluctance to interfere with their domestic life. Grandma also prefers to live in her house in peace. Kara was sad and unwilling but instead she could only visit Grandma often, almost every day.

Kara told Grandma about her pregnancy. Like her, Grandma was also very happy when she found out. But, her grandmother also feared that Frans' curse would occur and told Kara to be more careful. “Do not walk or travel alone. If necessary you do not need to visit grandma often,” he said looking worried.

Kara laughed lightly. “Why Grandma overdo it. Nothing will happen Nek.” He believed that there was no such thing as a curse on Frans. But, she also knew Grandma was only saying that because she was too worried about him, so, Kara would not argue with him.

“Grandmother also prayed for it, Kara,” replied the old woman with a sad sigh. Regretting why there should be a curse problem that follows his former grandchildren and grandchildren. They both loved each other and were the perfect couple. If they could really have a baby, their happiness would be more complete.

Kara was silent as if thinking of something. He bit his lower lip lightly, looking doubtful. Staring at Grandma before him, he opened his lips and began to speak, “Nek, I have something important to say to you.”
