The Secret of the Billionaire's Curse
Back to Meet

Frans gulped his salivary as Kara now stood in front of her desk. However, when he realized that Kara's gaze was not directed towards him, Frans turned his head and found Clara also smiling. Frans frowned when he saw this.

“Hai, Clara,” greet Kara.

“Hai, Kara. How's your grandma doing?” reply Clara.

When Kara's grandmother fell ill a few days ago, Clara was one of the nurses who cared for Kara's grandmother. Actually they are also familiar before because Clara also often stopped by Kara's cafe to just buy a cup of coffee or food.

“My grandmother is fine now. I asked him not to have to help me take care of this cafe,” Clara replied.

The girl then gave the menu book to Clara, Aren, and Frans with a smile. As his eyes caught Frans' figure, he rounded his eyes. She did not expect that she would meet the man who had helped her that night.

“Hai, you were that guy, ‘right?” kara asked, her eyes sparkling when she saw Frans because she felt that Frans was her savior.

Frans nodded with a faint smile.

Kara, who realizes that Frans is the man who helped her, enthusiastically takes a seat next to Frans, making Aren very memorized that Frans does not like strangers surprised by the actions of the girl.

“That time I haven't really thanked you.” Kara smiled warmly. “Thank you for that night you helped me. If it wasn't for your help, I might have run from there to the house,” Kara said, chuckling.

“Kara, do you know Frans?” ask Clara.

Kara turned towards Clara. “That time he helped me from a crazy man who was drunk,” Kara replied.

Clara nodded her head hearing this.

Kara turned her head back towards Frans. With sparkling eyes, the girl stood up. He then said, “As my thanks, I will make the best dishes in my cafe for free for you.”

“Kara is the perfect girl in my eyes,” Clara said when Kara was gone. Clara's words certainly caught Frans' attention. “Not only beautiful, she is also very cheerful, independent, and kindhearted.”

“You've known the girl for a long time?” ask Aren.

Clara nodded. “I have long been a regular customer in this cafe. We became familiar because I often came here and sometimes when her grandmother fell ill, I handled it in the hospital,” explained Clara.

Aren who realized Frans' strange attitude because Frans was more silent asked, “Did Kara already have a lover?”

“No. I know she never had a relationship with any man because she only focused on this cafe and her grandmother,” Clara replied.

Hearing that, Frans turned his head. “Really?” he asked, wondering if Clara's words were true or not.

“Iya. As long as I knew Kara, never once did she talk about men,” Clara said.

“He only lives with his grandmother?”

Clara nodded. “Then I know, anyway, so. His parents died a long time ago. So, she just lives with her grandmother. This cafe is also his family cafe.”

Frans initially did not believe Clara's remark that Kara did not have a lover. Moreover, Kara is the girl who has the face of ayu. It's almost impossible for a girl like Kara to have no lover. Frans saw Kara chatting with a man, right?

However, when she saw the man who was chatting with Kara and she thought was Kara's lover turned out to work as a waitress in Kara's cafe, she finally believed in Clara's words.

While Aren who saw Frans secretly looked curious with Kara was smiling. Aren thought that he would ask about it later when they had just come home. The man continued to watch his half-brother while smiling. Frans seemed very excited when he heard Clara's story about Kara's life. Aren becomes convinced that Frans is interested in Kara.

No wonder Aren thought like that because he had never seen Frans curious about women until he wondered like this before.
