Chapter 9 - Showing off

A box of sandwiches made by Anne was in front of Darren, the man still did not open or eat it he still noticed, he was worried Anne gave something to the sandwich.

"Huh, you think I'm going to poison you, Mr. Darren,"

"You can put something in that sandwich, please,"

"It's up to you to eat it or not, if you don't have a taste to throw it in the trash, excuse me." Anne came out of Darren's room telling the man who was still sitting staring at the box.

Darren accidentally didn't eat it he would eat it at the right time, seeing Anne's behavior seems to him managed to always make Darren smile even though Anne lately always presses every word when talking to him.

In fact, Darren has admired Anne since she was in college, Darren was one of the donors on Anne's college campus.

"Sir Darren come with me, the lecturer's room is over there" said the owner of the campus.

Darren who was invited to tour around the campus, looking around, he accidentally saw a woman who was laughing and smiling with some friends in business management class at once somehow he felt a sigh in his chest.

"Sweet smile he," he murmured before his daydream was bought back by the owner of the campus.

Since then Darren finds a woman he admires, and as soon as possible Darren asked his personal assistant to find out about the woman who owned the sweet smile and after he knew everything even he was willing to shift his secretary position to give an opportunity for Anne to become his secretary.

"You must marry me Anne" Darren said, shaking his head at his seat of pride.

Vanny was astonished at this new friend who was grumbling indistinctly, how Anne was not upset because Darren was not appreciative of the sandwich he made the man did not eat it at all. In fact, Anne was willing to wake up early just to make a sandwich that he said was special for Darren.

"Anne, it's better that you eat your food, and from then on nagging."

"You don't know how upset I am Van,"

"How do I know you didn't tell me at all what upset Anne,"

The two of them who were engrossed in lunch instantly suddenly Darren approached the two of them not alone but rather Darren came with Brian.

"Mister Darren and I can join you?" ask Brian nervously.

"Yes, sit down." replied Vanny who could see the nervousness on Brian's face was different from Darren who was smiling sweetly at them.

Brian looked down he was nervous or scared when he was in the lobby he passed Darren and immediately his boss invited him to come with him to the Cafeteria, wanted to refuse but he didn't dare and now he ends up here with them.

"Brian your ok?" asked Anne who was nodding back from Brian.

"I'm ok Miss Anne," Darren replied, who managed to make Anne squint her eyes. No one asks you stupid!

As Darren placed the box containing the sandwich on the table, forcing Anne to round her eyes in disbelief at what she saw, Anne thought the man had thrown away his food.

"You know Brian is Miss Anne's sandwich to me he said it's a special sandwich for the dearest CEO in this office, the first time I heard it I was so flattered" she said at length.

Anne who was sitting next to him managed to swallow her own saliva, this man was really crazy he never said it to her anyway for what she spoke as clearly as it was to Brian.

Darren's sandwiches eat up in front of Anne at once, this is what is called the right time to show if this sandwich is indeed special made for her.

"Wow, it's so good that Miss Anne tomorrow you can make it for me again."

"Oh really, I forgot hahaha." Darren replied with a laugh.

Darren's sweet smile to Anne can be guessed if Darren has more feelings for Anne, maybe Anne had not realized it while Anne who got a smile from Darren managed to make Anne feel ill-equipped about the man's attitude to her.

They refocused on the important meeting this time, though, regarding Darren who will be in charge out of town in the next 3 days some other staff have designed the arrangement that has been agreed Darren so that during the meeting later Darren managed to win the tender.

"Can you focus on our meeting this time Mr. Darren" whispered Anne who was sitting close beside Darren, instead of listening to him the man blinked one eye.

"How does Mr Darren agree with what you agree to?"

"Yes I agree, you guys just prepare what I need at the tender meeting later." he replied indifferently making some staff swallow his saliva.

"Ok, then the meeting this time is over, please go back to your respective work." they nodded and saluted Darren.

Anne shook her head in disbelief with Darren's current indifference, it was possible that the man would not care that much about the proposal from his employees.

The instant Anne hit Darren's arm made the master moan. "Why did you suddenly hit me?"

"Why? You are the reason from earlier should focus on our meeting this time even fun daydreaming,"

"I'm not daydreaming, I'm watching you Miss Anne." Plaque! Anne once again hit Darren on the back.

"Don't keep hitting me or I'll kiss your lips, Miss Anne" as soon as Anne pushed Darren's chair.

"Basic omes man!"

"What is omes?"

"O-t-a-k M-e-s-u-m," Anne ran out of the room.

While Anne was walking in the office corridor, Darren suddenly followed her from behind, making Anne surprised.

"Don't rush your way, let's go home with me,"

"I don't want to, I want to go home alone,"

"Don't let me take you home, if you don't want to come home with me I won't include you on our way out of town later," Darren's threat managed to make Anne's footsteps stop.

"I'm your secretary, how can you please not include me?" Anne pointed to herself.

"Because you don't want to come home with me, so that's the consequence" said Darren, who doesn't know himself.

"Well let's take me home" Anne replied as she walked first, instead of going blind on a trip out of town, but this was her first time working out of town. But, that fucking Darren always managed to threaten him.
