Chapter 26 - A Threat

Now Anne is uncomfortable with her existence now she feels like a human being being bullied by someone in front of her.

"How are you Miss Anne?"

"My news is good, Mr. Jackson," said he, who still dared not look at his interlocutor.

"How's my son Darren doing? I know she's living with you now,"

"The news is very good" he said slowly.

Jackson showed his cynical smile as if he could not believe what the woman before him had just said, he could not believe that Darren did not feel uneasy about his current state.

"You know that Miss Anne was once a very obedient son of mine, he always asked me for anything and he would not hesitate to obey my wishes but once a woman was present in his life he dared to raise his voice in front of me," she said and immediately Anne felt insinuated she who had continued to look down her face now turned to look at the middle-aged man's face.

"What do you mean Mr Jackson?" anne asked who had succeeded in making Jackson chuckle at her question.

"My point is can you give Darren back to his parents, I'm sure if you don't keep him in your house he'll definitely come back to us,"

"DID YOU KEEP A FATHER AND SON'S RELATIONSHIP RUINED LIKE THIS?" he said with a smile.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do it" Jackson said, swallowing his saliva when he heard Anne's reply just now.

"You're sure you won't want to give it back, how much money do you need or do you want me to be an investor in your company? I'll do it if you want to give Darren back to us" he said.

What Jackson was talking about. It was obvious that the old man had insulted him and he hated humans who could only demean one's dignity with just a piece of money.

"How Miss Anne are you interested in her compensation you return Darren and I will be an investor in your company even you can be CEO there later," Anne looked at him shaking her head.

"SORRY I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR OFFER,"

"And if you want your son back, please ask Darren to leave me" he said, rushing out of the room.

"I'M SURE YOUR COMPANY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD,"

"Save your threat Mr. Jackson, we'll see." Anne smiled sinisterly before she finally walked out of the VVIP room.

How dare Jackson threaten him he thinks he's the only one in the world a great businessman for Anne he's never afraid of anyone, luckily Darren's whereabouts made him look a little more victorious as the man did not want to side with his father at all. It's not that Anne's relationship with a Father and Son is destroyed that she never asked Darren to vote for her, the man himself who suddenly created a scandal with her.

In the future Anne must be more assertive and brave in facing Jackson she does not want to look weak in the presence of the middle-aged man.

The man stretched out both his hands when the woman had returned to the office but unfortunately the woman just kept quiet and looked at him instantly she instantly exhaled, he could see that something had just happened to his wife.

"Anne why are you? Did anyone hurt you tell me, what the investor did?"

"I don't know if he just insulted me or what it was I don't know, I just got a little upset" she said, sitting on the couch and drinking Darren's coffee.

"Anne tell me who just met you? Don't you know I'm so worried about you that you always prefer to meet those investors alone" he said.

"Let me be okay and you don't need to know who the person that just met me is," he said as he stroked Darren's hand but at once the master let go of his grip and he slightly shifted their seats.

"You why?" anne asked who was confused by Darren's attitude.

"I'm pissed at you for not believing me anymore, I just want to know who's met you just now but you don't want to tell me,"

Darren sulked successfully making Anne feel amused to see the behavior of this man beside her.

"I'm sure you won't believe who I just met,"

"What I'm saying is you don't believe me anymore when whatever you say I'm gonna believe, come on Anne tell me who you just met. Oh, what could your ex be?" he immediately managed to get a hit from Anne.

Already knew Anne had never dated before and still could-can think Anne memeiliki a former maybe later her first ex is Darren.

"I MET MR. JACKSON,"

"A.. Whahuh? You met my father, "Anne nodded her head, Darren looks so shocked to hear that.

"Why did you meet him? What you guys are talking about quickly tell me everything."

"I don't want to tell it, I don't want you to hear it." she said, but Darren kept forcing her to tell the story and in the end inevitably Anne told her the truth.

Every sentence Anne told the man actually showed a face of shock at what Anne was telling me this time, he does not believe that Jackson dared to meet his woman even ask her to return Darren to him. He thought Darren was an item that could be easily returned or even exchanged for something else.

As soon as Darren hugged her, "Anne trust me I will never leave you even if you leave me," she said very seriously.

"Yes, I believe you won't leave me to eat it I won't accept the offer unless you choose to leave yourself." Darren shook his head he would never leave, he was willing to live this simple life as long as it was with his woman.

But suddenly Anne smiled sweetly at him, showing his phone managed to make Darren confused what the purpose of the phone was.

"Maybe you'd be a little surprised by my crazy idea but maybe only this can get us to successfully get investors for our company Darren,"

"What do you mean Anne I really don't understand," Anne opened her voice recording, showing a recording of her conversation with Jackson at the time.

Darren smiled understanding what the woman meant, "So you want to threaten my father back?" Anne nodded her head.

"You're very clever my boo, let's threaten him back to make him want to invest in our company," said Darren enthusiasm.

Yeah, with the tracks on the tape with Jackson. They can take advantage of the situation Anne will threaten behind the father of her lover, maybe this idea sounds very outrageous but only in this way so they can get the first investor in their company.
