Chapter 24 - Senior

They both just registered Great AND Enterprise on PT's website. Silver Group in tender competition TOWARDS GLOBAL MODERN ERA JOINT.

Anne is currently seeing someone who emailed her this morning, one wanted to meet Anne in person because she wanted to become an investor in Great AND Enterprise and today Anne is back to meet an investor without being with Darren, the man has his own duties.

"Hello Miss Anne" she said, who had just arrived at the restaurant and when she opened her glasses, she was surprised.

"Hello..  Senior brother?" he said as he stood staring clearly at the man who was now in front of him.

"You must be surprised, Yes it's Lucas your senior brother," he smiled sweetly and sat down before him.

"I think who asked me to meet,"

"Sorry to have taken a little surprise at my arrival, but from now on don't call me your senior brother again okay," Anne nodded.

"After hearing about you being a successful businessman in LA I thought you wouldn't be back in New York again,"

"Where might I forget my hometown of Anne and where might I forget the woman I've admired since I was in college" Anne chuckles to hear that man never changes.

Yes, Lucas Vixion was a friend and Senior when Anne was in college, the man had also heard openly express his feelings for Anne but until now Anne still did not answer.

"But Anne I met not just wanted to meet but I really wanted to invest in your company" Lucas said.

"Where do you know our company when it was just inaugurated" he said curiously.

"Anne I have many acquaintances in New York and many of our college friends who have now succeeded in becoming successful people. So the news would have been very easy to hear in my ears" he said, eating his steak.

"And I hear you need an investor, I'm ready to invest in your company Anne" he said.

"Thank you, Lucas, you seem to be a true helper angel for our company" he said, smiling sweetly.

Maybe this is what the helper angel meant when it suddenly came at the right time and where maybe Anne rejected it anyway she knew Lucas well so where might she doubt the senior.

Anne brought Lucas to his company, Lucas' arrival was immediately welcomed by some of his employees. But, unfortunately Darren is out meeting investors of his own acquaintances.

"So you're here as COO?" Anne nodded.

"Do you want to wait a minute, Darren's on his way here." Lucas nods he doesn't care if he has to wait for him as long as the two are with Anne.

A few hours later Darren had arrived at his office he went straight into his room where Anne had been waiting for him with a man in a neat suit like himself.

"Darren you finally came too I've been waiting for you since,"

"Sorry there's a little bit of a constraint" he said, not turning his eyes away from the same Lucas looking at him.

"Darrenes.. This is Lucas investor who this morning suddenly called me, not only is he a person who wants to invest in our company but he's also my senior while in college,"

"Hey introduce me Lucas,"

"Darren, do you know anything about this company's proposal?"

"Yes, Anne explained it to me and I'm interested in investing in your company,"

"So you're immediately interested in investing in our company?" asked Darren while sitting on the sofa in his room.

Anne was confused by Darren's remarks just now it seemed like the man didn't like Lucas very much but Anne just hoped Darren wouldn't come back because somehow their company really needed an investor.

"Other than Anne?"

"Don't tell me you want to turn Lucas into an investor in our company,"

"I really want to turn it down You're so easy to guess Anne's way of thinking,"

"Darren you don't go crazy enough yesterday that you turned down an investor just for being silly and now please don't do it again" Anne said.

"Aren't you realistically thinking why she'd easily join a startup that's just getting started, even from yesterday there have been dozens of investors we met but none of them want to work with us."

"Don't you ever think if he wanted to join just because of some other intent,"

"I'm not like Darren who always has a bad perception just because of your silly thoughts, so I'm asking you to think about our company" said Anne who was getting upset.

"NO, I WON'T ALLOW HER TO JOIN OUR COMPANY" Anne replied.

"Why could that be?" he said staring hard.

"I'm here as the CEO so I have a right to decide something, no,"

"What makes you want to be an investor in our company" asked Anne.

"You have to persuade me first, and then I'll consider him to be an investor in our company" Anne tightened her molars she's upset with Darren at the moment.

"Get ready I will seduce you," Anne pulled a tie Darren's shirt.

The cup! Anne snatched at Darren's thick lips because she didn't want to waste the sweet kiss from her, Darren immediately pulled Anne's waist tightened the body of the two in order to kiss more intensely.

"Mmh..,"

Luckily the corridor in front of Darren's room was quiet so the two of them could kiss even deeper.

Anne was furious at the man, even persuading Darren to kiss him, but he refused to accept Lucas as an investor in their company.

"I'm sorry you wasted your time coming to our company but it ended up like this, I'm really sorry to you, Lucas" said Anne, who is now in the lobby with Lucas.

"No Problem, Darren seems like a tough, great guy he's got so meticulously looked at my profile of Anne" she said with a charming smile.

"Although I can't be a helper angel for your company, I really hope that we will remain friends at any time" she said, handing Anne her business card.

"If you need my help, don't hesitate to let me know Anne,"

"Yes, I'm going to tell you, but not because I asked for help, but because we're friends, we shouldn't be exchanging news" Lucas chuckled.

Before Lucas actually left the skyscraper, he took the time to look at Anne for a moment the face of the woman who was now in front of him was one of the faces he missed the most, Lucas longed to see Anne's sweet smile when they were on campus.

Who doesn't feel at peace every time he looks at Anne's sweet face.
