Chapter 41 - Peace Together

"Huh you've started to look," Darren laughed at hearing that.

"I can be late if it continues like this, I leave. Don't worry I won't be long soon I'll be home." he said.

Anne shook her head, not liking to hear that Darren would be coming home quickly because he had to really focus on his work.

"Well my boo I'll work with focus and go home early after all the work is done."

Anne kissed Darren's cheek the action made Darren feel happy now they both have really shown their relationship without feeling awkward and doubt at all.

"Sit Anne down with us, this is hot tea for you" Emma said as she patted the empty space next to her.

Anne hesitated, but eventually joined the two.

"Sir Jackson you're not working today?"

"She has free access to work on any day and at any hour" Emma said.

Yes, his name is also a President he will have his own policy in managing when the time will work.

"You don't call her that formal Anne just call Daddy like a son to her father" Emma said.

"DON'T FORCE SOMEONE TO ACT LIKE THAT ON ME" Jackson said.

"Yes yes, but later if you are part of the family we call him your Daddy, Anne,"

"Yes mom Emma," Anne showed her sweet smile.

Emma went to the kitchen she said she wanted to make something for a while in the kitchen, and he forbade Anne to come to the kitchen on the grounds that Anne should not move too much but this situation just alone with Jackson made her feel even more awkward.

"Why not drink his tea?"

Anne was shocked to hear Jackson's voice just now.

"Master,"

"Yes why?"

Anne was nervous she clasped her own hand tightly, "I want to apologize for my attitude towards Mr. Jackson, sorry I shouldn't have threatened you sir" she said, biting her lower lip.

"It's okay to forget about it, you are indeed a great woman with the right strategy against an opponent who will threaten you," he said that managed to make Anne look at him with a look of disbelief if Jackson would have said that sentence just now.

"Now I know why Darren admires you so much, Miss Anne" she said.

"You are a new beginner but your intelligence is not a beginner thing, you and Darren risked building a startup company in the era of the city that is currently very tight in competing with other large companies but you are able to establish the company" he said.

This time Jackson was not pretending to praise Anne's cleverness but he really admired her bravery and cleverness, rarely are there women who are persistent in building a company even from those who start from scratch.

"If I were in your position I would certainly trap an investor to join and would inject funds for the survival of my company" he said again.

Anne is now increasingly convinced that if Jackson is a great father and a good person he is even able to behave normally after he has dared to trap him and even threaten him but as Jackson said anyone would do anything for the survival of the company he founded.

Darren comes home at the right time but he does not find his woman who used to lock herself in his room but now he finds her being with her parents in the family living room, she could not believe that Anne was so close to her parents.

"It looks like there's a new kid who managed to distract you guys huh?" darren Cibir.

"Yes Anne is now our daughter" said Emma.

"MOM ANNE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER," Anne rounded her eyes hearing Darren's statement just now.

"BUT HE DESERVED MORE TO BE WAITING FOR MU," he continued, who managed to make the feeling both of them feel relieved, they almost thought if Darren was not joking.

"You almost made us misunderstand" said Jackson, who was upset.

"You're too serious but I'm very serious about making Anne your daughter-in-law" Darren winked while the lyrics were silent.

"Are you not hungry?" Anne looked at him hoping that the man understood his point.

Darren nodded his head, "Yes I'm very hungry" he said.

"Ok, I'll prepare some food for you," Anne prepared for the kitchen she still felt uneasy as Darren discussed matters relating to marriage.

"It looks like he still doesn't feel comfortable when we discuss it, I'll be there sorry mom dad,"

"Here samperin him, the food will be cold again as cold as his attitude,"

"Whoa since when did mom become good at words," Darren's tease seemed to smile towards Emma.

Yeah, actually it's not uncomfortable just that Anne felt a little awkward when discussing it in front of both Darren's parents. It was basically Darren that the man often teased him, the man never changed but somehow Anne would only feel comfortable when Darren teased him when they were just the two of them.
