Chapter 40 - Snow Down

His eyes were still closed without him from the moment someone was watching every inch of the curve of his face his finger gently stroked the beautiful face that was plastered in front of him, he admired the almost perfect beautiful face of God's creation.

"You still look so pretty even when your face still looks pale like this,"

The still closed eyes finally closed his eyelids, feeling disturbed by his deep sleep disturbed by a handsome man who was now smiling sweetly for him.

"Am I bothering you?" Anne nodded her head.

"He-um, you're so disruptive to my lunch time Darren,"

"But it's late in the afternoon Anne it's time you wake up" Anne woke up from her sleep and leaned her body against her bed.

"Is your head still hurting?"

"A little bit, but it's been dissected while I'm taking the medicine."

"Have you eaten?"

"Darren stopped acting like that I'm a grown woman not a child" Anne gave a sharp look.

"Yes you're a mature woman who's very good at kissing," hearing that sentence Anne slammed her hand against Darren's body.

"Even when your body is sick like this, your energy is still strong enough, too, yes,"

"Yes and you have to be careful I can still kick you out of this room" Anne said.

Darren held out his hand, "Oh creepy, let's go downstairs and come eat with us at the bottom." Anne received her hand.

Emma sees the two approaching the table she now realizes if they look very harmonious it is really appropriate to continue the relationship to a more serious level only Darren has confirmed if he does not want to force Anne had to marry him immediately, she still remembered the desire of Anne who wanted to become a successful career woman to develop their company together.

Jackson was staring at the longest photo on the wall of his room, a photo of him, Emma and also Darren his only son.

"You why?" emma said, curling her hands in her husband's hands.

"I just miss our old little Darren,"

"Yes, I also miss his cuteness when he was a child, but now Darren has grown into a grown man who already understands what love is," said Emma who managed to make Jackson laugh to hear it.

"But even though he understood love, his stubbornness never changed,"

"Yes her nature is down from your nature, let's go down they must have been waiting for us downstairs to eat together."

The thing that is most missed from both parents is seeing his son in his childhood, who was always jolly, adorable and sometimes tearful make both parents confused but now when his little son has grown into a grown man everything is very different, their little son had understood what love and a woman were.

"I think you're already downstairs waiting for us to be alone" Darren sneered with his devilish smile.

"We're old Darren, it's not like we used to be, is it not so Dad?" Jackson nodded.

Anne chose to keep silent and stared at them with her empty mind, this was the first time she had come to eat together with both of Darren's parents even in Darren's second home.

Every time he saw Jackson's face honestly he always felt embarrassed because he had once been rude to Jackson.

"Miss Anne you don't feel awkward being with us" Jackson said, understanding Anne's current attitude.

"Yes Anne I've looked at you like my own daughter so you should think of Jackson as your father, too" said Emma, who managed to make Anne nod her head.

"Let's eat your awkward taste" Darren gave Anne her favorite meat soup.

"Mom made it special for you, eat it while it's still warm,"

Tonight felt a warmth in the Jackson family and this is the first time Anne's existence has been accepted by Darren's parents.

There is no emotional, anger or hatred there is only a shared warmth.

"You still haven't slept Anne?" darren asked as he entered Anne's room.

"I heard tonight was the first night of snowfall in this town Darren I'd love to see it" he whined as a child asking his father for candy.

"Do you want to see it outside?" Anne nodded.

"Well let me accompany you to see the snow but remember that not too long the air outside is not good,"

Anne jumps out of her bed and agrees with what Darren advises her, the first time she sees snow falling at night with a man who loves her and loves her.

Now they were in the gazebo near the pool waiting for the snow to fall even now Anne was wearing a scarf around her neck, the air outside was quite cold.

"How long does the snow fall in the morning?"

"No, I've been reading the daily news on TV the snow will go down at night we just wait for ya,"

"But Anne you'd be cold if you kept going outside like this" Anne shook her head, she was so stubborn.

Instantly Anne hugged Darren managed to make the empress' heart beat fast, maybe this is Anne's way to reduce the cold on her body but for Darren this makes her feel hot a little normal man which can not stand when in contact with women when the weather is cold like these.

"Anne,"

"So this makes me feel a little warm Darren" he said, closing his eyes.

Slowly Anne fell asleep in Darren's arms and a moment later the snow fell successfully making Darren raise his head up.

"It really did snow" he said, adding that he had a hug on Anne's body.

Darren wants to wake her up but seeing Anne who looks so sound he can't bear to wake her.

"Because you're sleeping let's go inside, it's not good to sleep outside like this."

Just now he was about to bring Anne's body into the house but the woman immediately woke up because she was disturbed by Darren's action just now.

"Why didn't you wake me when the snow was down?"

"You're fast asleep where I can wake you up, after all we've been outside for over an hour let's go inside."

"Wait,"

Anne raised her hand against the sky a snowflake hit her palm, he felt happy to be seen from his sweet smile even though the cold air outside seemed to have risen in temperature but still the coldness overcame his pleasure.

"You feel good about my boo?"

"This is the first time I've seen snow falling with you, usually my days are very boring but this time it's a little different,"

Darren hugged him tightly channeling the warm air in his body and instantly their lips fused together to kiss sharing the warmth amid the snowfall in New York City.
