CHAPTER II Inter-Academy Tournament
2.1 Tournament Preparation.
I saw two people in front of me walking. It was Nadha and Mr. Shahir. There were a lot of trees that the three of us passed through. We walked quite leisurely while enjoying the view on the way.
The three of us walked because Escanor didn't want to drive us on the grounds that we needed sport. Escanor seemed to be angry with me for our defeat against the king of Harlequin.
Even so the distance between Carleon palace and the Academy city was not too far away. It only takes 3 days to travel the longest on foot.

"just fine. Where are you going?" ask me again to Okhie because I see there are many things around him.
"Oh I'm going to the Imperial Kingdom with my teacher Ari" said Okhie looking very enthusiastic.
"What order did you go there for?" ask me again curious.
"I was invited by my teacher to practice and develop my run skills there. Uh don't you have a problem lingering here?" said Okhie while reminding me that I have a duty to enter class.
"Great, thank you for reminding me. I'll go first, see you later" I said to Okhie and reflexively ran.
I was in the classroom and two people I knew were standing in front of me. They were the training student instructors in my class. Mr. Jihan and Mr. Johan are giving instructions on what we will do next.
"Well the training students, after lunch hour we will do the sparring training in the hall special thief class. This is done to see how far you can cooperate with the mythical monsters that you have made partners with," said Jihan sir after that hurriedly out of the classroom.
Before Mr. Jihan left the class there was an announcement that the entire instructor was ordered to gather. Mr. Johan left first to leave Mr. Jihan to finish the discussion.
After that I walked with Nudus and Toni to the cafeteria. We lined up and ordered food and we took it to the cafeteria table.
Nudus is my classmate from the Magnolia kingdom. While Toni my classmate is from the same kingdom as me, Carleon.
The canteen looks very crowded. Many training students were sitting down to eat while chatting. There are also people who are buying food.
Me, Nudus and Toni were joking while eating the food in front of us. Suddenly a woman sat next to me. The two friends sitting in front of me were shocked when the woman sat next to me.
"Hey what are you doing here Nadha?" I asked the woman who was suddenly sitting next to me.
"I want to eat, what do I want to do again?" nadha replied while eating the food leisurely.
"Your acquaintance?" ask my friends while whispering.
"Oh yeah introduce my name is Nadha from the rune healer class. I happen to know Kenang," said Nadha introducing herself with a sweet smile.
"Oh so, yes greetings," said Nudung and Toni as they clashed with Nadha.
I just smiled wryly beside Nadha looking at the behavior of the two of them. Suddenly I pulled them both and permission on Nadha to go to the toilet.
"Hey Remember when you met such a beautiful woman?" ask Nudjah to me when he gets to the toilet.
"Why didn't you introduce that woman to us a long time ago?" ask Toni to me before I can answer Nudang's question.
"Wahh, relax. One by one I'll explain it to you, so don't make a fuss ok," I said calming them both down.
I finally explained how I met Nadha even though most of my stories were lies. I don't want to say that Nadha is the princess of Carleon. Maybe they'll get excited if they listen to that.
We returned to our seats and continued to eat. I saw Nudus and Toni stealing glances at Nadha. I only smiled wryly when I found out that my two friends were like that.
The lunch hour was over and all the training students in my class were in the gymnasium. We all wear our fighting clothes.
Seen from a distance two people in dark white and blue clothes approached us.
"Alright because in class we only have 15 people, so one of you will fight me" said Mr. Johan while handing out a paper for the draw.
Icko vs Dimas.
Icko has long had mythical monsters of the lizard guard type. Very visible compactness of the two of them in fighting Dimas and giant-type mythical monsters. Dimas and giant were defeated with the attack of a combination of lizard guard poison breath skill and blast wind magic.
Yuno vs Rain

Nudus vs Toni
Nudus has a mythical monster of minotaur type. Toni has a mythical monster. Their fight lasted long enough. Toni was very good at counterattacking Nudus. Finally Nudus lost with the black magic attack had mumy venom.
Rudy vs Sheila
Sheila has a mythical mermaid monster that should be seeded. While Rudy has a mythical monster centaur type. But Sheila doesn't seem to have any fighting experience like Rudy. Sheila was defeated by Rudy and Centaur.
Memories vs Vain
I fought Vain with quite the difficulty initially. Because Escanor won't follow my orders. Vain had a Fenryu-type mythical monster. He had a pretty good cooperation with his mythical monster. After I succeeded in persuading Escanor, our cooperation finally defeated Vain and his mythical monster. We used a combined attack that Merlin taught us was dragon drive. The dragon drive was a combined attack in which Escanor transferred some of her physical abilities to me so that I could move more effectively than usual. But it was actually forbidden to use this ability by Merlin.
Ziod vs Dian
Ziod had a mythical monster of the type Efreeti. Dian has a mythical jaguar king. Initially Ziod managed to attack Dian many times. But when Ziod was caught off guard Dian quickly attacked and defeated him.
Elric vs. Johan
This battle of Elric and Johan sir is completely unexpected. Elric has a mythical monster. The combination of Elric and the durahan mythical monster is excellent even seems to be better than the combination of me and Escanor. Elric had cornered Mr. Johan who did not summon his mythical monster. But eventually Elricpun lost because of his excessive confidence that made a gap. The loophole was used by Mr. Johan and made Elric give up.
"Ok we have seen your cooperation with each other's partners. There are some of you who get very interesting partners. So you must be able to maximize the ability of yourself and your partners. Do not let the mythical monsters that you make partners become your weaknesses later," said Mr. Jihan as he walked around us.
"Is there anything you want to ask us?" ask Mr. Johan to all the students of the rune thief training class.

"After this you change your clothes and go back to class!!" mr. Johan's orders after that leave the sports hall.
We all walked into the classroom. When Teodor opened the classroom door, it turned out that Mr. Johan and Mr. Jihan had been waiting for us in the classroom.
After we all sat down, Mr. Jihan immediately gave us material about the evolution process of partners. Actually I have read the evolution process of the mythical monsters in the pedia monster book.

The next day I was in class. I've been paying attention to Mr. Johan's explanation of the party. After that Mr. Johan gave a piece of paper to each student. The paper must be filled with jobs what we want in the future.
After we filled it out, the results were quite unbalanced. Eleven students want to become a guardian in the future. The remaining four wanted to be assassins including me. Those four people are me, Teodor, Elric and Sheila.

I really don't believe in a team with Nadha. It's really a coincidence that's like it's been arranged. Even if we don't know one other person at all.
"Introduce my name Robin, I'm from the rune scout class," Robin said introducing herself to me and Nadha.
Robin has a rather short body to me. He wears a cowboy hat on his head that covers yellow hair. Her eyes are blue and her looks can be a female idol. On the back there is a bow and arrow.

Our training schedule is almost over. At the end of the training session there is completion of the level D quest. A quest is a request from a person or organization who needs help from the kingdom.
The quests that instructor Lina gave were reconnaissance and hunting quests. We stalk a group of goblin mythical monsters who reportedly kill and steal merchants.
Robin watches from behind the trees. I was across the tree where Robin was lurking. I witnessed that the goblins entered a cave carrying a chest that looked very heavy. In addition there were two hobgoblins at the front guard.
Robin gave me the code. After that he took out the two arrows that were on his back. The arrow was placed on the bow. After that Robin removed the two arrows. Two hobgoblins were seen guarding the arrow. The arrow hit the second forehead of the hobgoblin.
I went straight into the cave where the goblins entered. The deeper I go, the more goblins are wandering. I hid behind the cave gap and saw the situation.
Seen near the prostrating goblins there was one king goblin standing. I realized that the goblin king was their leader.
I was in the cave long enough. I can't decide what to do yet. But after the entire prostrating goblin had left, I immediately threw the smoke bomb towards the goblin king.
Smoke filled the room and there were rumbling footsteps leaving the room. After there were no goblins left, I went deeper. There's a ladder coming down and I'm going down that ladder.
There were 10 goblins in the room that I went down. I quickly attacked them one by one. I slashed the neck closest to me. Then I stabbed into the chest of the goblin that was on my right. Then I kicked the goblin that jumped at me. The goblin that jumped earlier was directly pierced by his friend's own spear.
The remaining 7 goblins I have to fight. Some attacked me from afar using arrows but I was able to avoid them. I caught the arrow that came to me earlier and then I stuck it on the head of the goblin that attacked from my right. Then I threw the knife that I carried forward and left. The knife stuck right at the necks of the two goblins.
There was one goblin carrying a trembling spear. Maybe he was trembling with fear. I indiscriminately ran up to the four goblins and I slaughtered them.
The place I was fighting turned out to be a human prison kidnapped by goblins. All humans who are kidnapped by goblins are female. The prisoners seem to be going to be goblin breeding grounds.
I found the key to open the prison and about 30 women came out of it. They look so scared. I told them to walk behind me. We all managed to get out without anyone getting hurt.
I saw an incredible sight when I came out of the cave. Instructor Lina beheaded the goblin king and very many goblin corpses were scattered in front of the cave.
Finally the soldiers from Carleon kingdom came. They were immediately spread out by being commanded by Dion. Dion was the assassin I met in the tournament. He wanted to bring Nadha home.
Soldiers instantly evacuated the goblin prisoners behind me. In addition, other soldiers tried to evacuate the corpses of mythical goblin monsters and hobgoblins.
After that we got a reward from that quest. 500 Thousand dollars per person is enough for teenagers like us.
"You guys have completed all the training steps I put together. So for today I will treat you," instructor Lina said to us who was standing in front of her.
Finally we ate together at a food stall that she said was the usual place instructor Lina ate.
