CHAPTER II Inter-Academy Tournament

2.4 Clashes.

"Sring sring," the sound of the weapon sounded closer and closer.

Me, Nadha and Robin kept getting close to that voice. Someone in a room we saw Zaryusu was fighting against three people who were wearing Tower Academy uniforms. I subconsciously ran and repelled the attack that led to Zaryusu. Robin and Nadha are shocked to discover that I left without a plan.

Finally Robin joined me and Zaryusu. Nadha and Armstrong evacuate the injured lizardmen. Our opponent suddenly called his partner. The mythical monsters of fenrir, werewolves and unicorns emerged.

Fenrir instantly spat out black flames from his mouth. We were able to dodge and jump in different directions. But Zaryusu was attacked again by a participant of the tournament. I guess that he is a warior. The warior teamed up with the werewolves attacking Zaryusu.

One of them was a mage. The Mage teams up with a unicorn attacking Robin. The other person is a thief. The thief attacked me with fenrir.

But I have no trouble fighting this thief. I had more trouble coping with fenrir. Several times I can avoid the opponent's kicks and punches. After looking a little gap I immediately hit the thief until it was thrown. But I was constantly attacked by his partner. The movement of fenrir is very fast.

It is true to its predicate as a high-level mythical monster I said inwardly while dodging some attacks.

"Come Escanor" I said as I continued to try to avoid the fenrir attack.

Escanor appears in the form of a man. Escanor directly hit the fenrir with her right hand. The fenrir was thrown so far away that he could not move. Meanwhile, the thief was immediately shocked. He seemed to be shocked because once Escanor's punch could defeat her fenrir.

While Robin had summoned the Chameleon, their fight had ended before I finished the fight. Robin and Chameleon are very good. That was seen when we were still training together for this tournament.

Zaryusu also seemed to be able to win the battle. Maybe because he had used the snowman sword ability. His body that had been equipped with armor could not be penetrated by the attacks of warior and werewolf. When the werewolf clawed, Zaryusu fended off and directly thrust his claws right at the werewolf's body. While the warior tried to slash from the left of Zaryusu but can be kicked with the right foot until thrown.

Zaryusu approached the warior earlier and wanted to stab with his claws. But I held him.

"It's enough, Mr. Zaryusu, I'll take over from here" I said, calming Zaryusu down.

The three attackers were named Ruby (mage), Estal (warior), and Doggal (thief). We imprisoned them in the basement and took their crystals. But their crystal was only one left. They had been defeated by the other participants then vented their anger by attacking the mythical monsters nearby.

I apologize to Zaryusu for the actions of the participants. Zaryus also accepted it even though he still looked annoyed. Obviously he was upset because his friends were hurt. Fortunately the lizardmen were only injured although some were very severe.

But after that the lizardmen were really cheerful as usual. It did not appear that they were angry from being attacked for no reason. However, Zaryusu cannot cover his feelings.

The first day we had collected four crystal balls. So our total crystal ball is seven. We have interrogated the group that attacked the lizardman and asked about who defeated them before. They only heard one of the enemies back then calling his friend by the name of Sirius and wearing the uniform of Float Academy.

"Hey little knight, do you have time to talk to me?" zaryusu asked as I was gathering with Nadha, Robin and the lizardmen.

"Oh Mr. Zaryusu, yes I can," I said as I left Nadha, Robin and the lizardmen.

I entered Zaryusu's room and sat down on the chair. The chair was right in front of Zaryusu who was sitting.

"Maybe it's too late to ask about this, what exactly is your mission?" asked Zaryusu curiously.

"Pardon us sir, we forgot to explain our purpose in this mythical forest to you" I told Zaryusu.

After that I explained at length about our purpose in the mythical forest. So did the lizardman attackers. At first Zaryusu thought that we were running away from the enemy. So we need these ruins to hide.

"Hahahaha, that's how it looks. I really misunderstood. We'll help you guys" Zaryusu said suddenly.

"Ehh, thank you Mr. Zaryusu. But we don't want to trouble and harm the lizardmen," I said with some hesitation.

"Just calm down, my soldiers are strong. They are not that easy to beat bad kids like you," said Zaryusu who patted my back with a laugh.

Do I have to believe his words if in fact they almost died because of the participants from the Academy Tower I said in doubt and radiated by my face that looked hesitant.

The lizardmen suddenly conducted a patrol of the territory in a very organized manner. They reported every incident that was around the ruins to Zaryusu. I could only look at it and receive help from Zaryusu. Nadha's strange gaze pointed at me as if she wanted to know what was really going on.

"Ehem, what really happened to the lizardmen?" nadha suddenly approached me and asked.

"Mr Zaryusu insisted on wanting to help us after I explained about the tournament we were participating in," I replied to Nadha who looked curious.

"But many of them are still injured, is it okay?" nadha asked me again.

"I've already told that to Mr. Zaryusu, but he strongly believes in the abilities of his soldiers. So I couldn't say anything," I answered Nadha honestly.

"It's you two. I understand Nadha's concern about the injuries the lizardmen have suffered, but king Zaryusu is more aware of the lizardman's abilities" said Robin, who was initially silent.

The light of the rising sun illuminated the mythical forest that was still filled with morning mist. I opened my eyes and walked out of the tent. Looks like the lizardmen are very busy to and fro.

What happened this morning I said in my heart.

"Hey I remember coming here quickly" Robin said, calling me serious.

"What's wrong?" ask me while approaching Robin and some lizardman.

Robin from near the window of the ruins pointed downwards. It looked faintly like the shadow of a dog that was gathering around the ruins.

Zaryusu looked out of his room and rushed to the lower floor. Robin and I followed Zaryusu from behind.

After arriving at the exit of the ruins, there were dozens of hell hounds. Suddenly a black shadow slowly emerged from the mist. It was a fenryu-type mythical monster followed by one fenrir behind it.

"What are you doing in my territory?" ask Zaryusu to the mythical monster fenryu.

"I just want to stop by to greet you," said Fenryu as he looked as if his body was trembling.

After answering Zaryusu's question the mythical monster fenryu immediately fell unconscious. The hell hounds immediately approached him looking very worried.

I immediately rushed closer to fenryu earlier, as did Zaryusu. I saw a lot of wounds on his body.

"Get aside," said Zaryusu approaching the fenryu earlier after it lifted him up.

Zaryusu brought the fenryu into the ruins. The hellhounds follow from behind.

A few minutes later, Fenryu woke up. She was conscious when Nadha tried to bandage her body.

"Who are you?" fenryu asked while looking at Nadha.

"Oh you're conscious" said Nadha as she covered Solus' wounds.

I who saw from afar know that Fenryu consciously reported directly to Zaryusu. Zaryusu who was eating immediately left his food and rushed towards the room fenryu treated.

"What really happened to Solus?" zaryusu asked Fenryu who was lying with a body resembling a white dog.

"Ah this is nothing," said Solus unwilling to explain what had happened .

"I have asked with your members and they have explained. You're as stubborn as ever for not wanting others to worry," Zaryusu said looking irritated.

"Hahaha, even though before I came here I told them to shut up mutely," Solus said with a laugh but his laughter felt bland.

Solus explains to Zaryusu despite me, Nadha and Robin in the room. He was attacked by nine young men. Solus had no idea what the young men were really after.

After that my group and some lizardmen went to check on the solus region. It turned out that the fenrir that accompanied Solus followed us from behind.

"What are you doing?" I asked fenrir who was behind me.

"I want to see the condition of our territory," the fenrir said as he ran behind us.

"Make me know, what's your name?" I asked fenrir who kept following us from behind.

"Razor," said fenrir, looking indifferent.

Finally after a few minutes we reached the territory of the hell hounds. The area is close to a very beautiful waterfall. Next to the waterfall is a cave. The cave is a resting place for the hellhounds, Razor said.

After a while I, Nadha, Razor and some lizardmen agreed on something. Robin and I will infiltrate the cave. While others watch the outside. In addition, according to Razor still smelled the smell of people who attacked the hell hound from inside the cave.

Robin and I ran through the field into the cave. After arriving in the cave Robin called the Chameleon. The chameleon was assigned to enter with us but in its skill mode.

After a few steps we entered, suddenly there was a human shadow visible from the reflection of the fire light on the cave wall. We stopped and disappeared into the darkness.

It turned out that the shadow was that four tournament participants were carrying hell hound bodies. Looks like that hell hound is no longer alive. The four people were wearing Float Academy uniforms.

I just stood in the dark. I watched the four people. After the four men had moved away I came out of the darkness. So did Robin who was simultaneously with me come out of hiding.

We continued to explore the cave until it finally reached the end. The end of the cave was very bright. The light from the flames that were all around that could reveal dozens of hellhounds lying on the ground. In addition, there were blood spots around the floor of the cave.

About five people are doing something to a hell hound. The hell hound seemed to be lifeless.

Robin took a position to attack from a distance. I called Escanor.

"Escanor help me," I said softly while whispering to Escanor.

"Oh yes I understand," said Escanor and walked up to the five men.

"Hey what are you boys doing, I'm the examination committee," Escanor said, approaching five people who were seen wearing Float Academy uniforms.

"We're taking a hell hound fang pack" said one of the men who had long yellow hair.

"Will you make the material?" asked Escanor again.

"Yes sir, we want to make materials for weapons and some of them we may sell" replied the yellow-haired man.

I was surprised that their conversation was boiling. Anger is mixed with hatred for what they have done. But I still tried to calm myself.

But not with Escanor. Escanor who is a mythical nonster also has a sense of pity. Even though it was from a race that was different from him.

"Go away from here now, before I slaughter you," said Escanor who looked very upset.

"I mean father?" ask the man while stopping his activities.

An extremely terrifying aura came out from Escanor's body. I felt that aura from a distance was really goosebumps.

Fortunately, the participants complied and left the place.

"Sorry sir, I don't know that there are rules that don't allow attacking mythical monsters" the man said as he stood up and walked past Escanor.

"Where are you Sirius" asked his friend behind him.

"Let's get out, there's nothing we can take here, '" Sirius told three of his other friends.

The four of them came out without a fight. Perhaps they believe that Escanor is the special officer overseeing this tournament.

I approached Escanor and saw her as very sad. His eyes glazed over as he looked at the dozens of hell hounds lying without their fangs.
