CHAPTER I The First Step

1.6 Ruins.

I finally know who I am. Grandpa explained at length to me and Nadha. But according to the book that Nadha and I read, there is a book that Armstrong should have left to grandfather. It was a book about various kinds of mythical monsters. My grandfather never got the book.

It's strange, I wonder what King Raizen whispered to Armstrong in his last seconds. I thought hard but found no answer.

Nadha and I wanted to get the book to complete the assignment from the instructor in the Academy District. We were both in rune class but with different jobs. Nadha has a job healer but her physical ability is also unquestionable.

The journey went very fast. It usually takes 4 to 5 weeks to get to the ruins of the majapahit kingdom by walking and crossing the strait. But this trip only lasted for 7 hours.

After the condition of Mr. Shahir looks good, we began to enter the ruins with the purpose of my family's tomb. Grandpa guided us in front. I was right behind Grandpa with Nadha and Shahir.

So far everything has gone without a hitch. After that there was a room that looked very dark. Grandpa snapped his fingers. Immediately a blue flame surrounded the room.

There are 3 tombs in the room. The tomb is very nice and has a symbol of majapahit kingdom on each tomb.

"This is the tomb your parents both remember," said the grandfather as he held the two headstones close together.

It says Lancelot and Hilda. Grandpa told me how the two of them could meet. He was so excited that his tears could not be held back. Somehow Nadha who was initially relaxed suddenly approached and stroked grandfather's back while looking sad.

After we prayed over the tomb we began to explore the vast room. There were paintings that really caught my attention. The painting depicts a very cheerful family.

"Grandpa did you make this on the wall?" I shouted at grandfather while trying to read the writing.

"What's that Reminiscence?" grandpa asked and approached me.

Come to the royal hall, there is someone waiting for you.

It was someone that Shahir's grandfather and sir knew. According to Syahir's grandfather and sir, it was Armstrong. But strangely Armstrong did not move in the slightest.

We kept getting closer to Armstrong. It looks like every part of his body is very dirty.

"What really happened to him?" I asked my grandfather and Mr. Shahir.

"Maybe he's been waiting for us so long that his energy builds up and puts him to sleep" said the grandfather, holding Armstrong's hand.

"That is a common thing if mythical monsters do nothing" continued grandfather explaining the phenomenon that happened to Armstrong.

"So how do I get it back to how it was?" nadha asked curiously while cleaning Armstrong's body.

"There must be someone who can take energy from Armstrong," said the grandfather replied to Nadha while looking thoughtful.

"How do I take that energy cake?" I asked Grandpa in confusion.

"It should be easy if there is a class of necromancers here. Unfortunately there is no. So the way I thought about it was just hurting him as Armstrong's regeneration healed itself" replied the grandfather trying to explain to us.

According to grandfather the way it is that is easy to use with the situation as it is now. The Seraph is one of the mythical monsters with quite good healing regeneration. Due to its regeneration it absorbs energy, allowing it to be able to wake up.

After quite a long discussion we finally decided to use the way that grandfather suggested. Grandfather and Shahir sir will try to injure Armstrong with magic and low-level skills.

"Flame," said the grandfather as he pointed his right hand towards Armstrong.

While Mr. Syahir tried to use the skill paladin slash. While swinging the sword of light out from the swing of the sword pointed at Armstrong.

"I'm sorry Mr. Albert and Mr. Shahir, I didn't realize that the one who attacked me was you" Armstrong said on his knees.

"Stand Armstrong" said the grandfather, extending his hand to Armstrong. Armstrong reached for grandfather's hand and stood up.

"Why are you in this place Armstrong?" ask Mr. Syahir while putting his sword into the sheath.

"I'm here because I don't know where Mr. Albert lives. I was ordered by King Raizen to give a book to Mr. Albert" Armstrong replied in response to Shahir's question.

"So where's the book?" said grandfather as he walked towards the king's seat which was very dusty.

Armstrong shot something upwards with light magic. The shot hit the hang of a painting on the royal seat. The painting fell right on Grandpa's head. Grandpa was surprised and looked at Armstrong.

"You're Armstrong on purpose," said grandfather looking very angry.

"No sir, I was unintentional. I just wanted to drop the painting to make the hole behind it visible" Armstrong said with a flat face.

me, Nadha and Syahir laughed at how to answer Armstrong to grandfather. After that, my grandfather scolded us.

Armstrong flew straight towards the hole seen after the painting had fallen. He put his hand in and took the book inside the hole. After that he came down to us.

There were a lot of mythical creatures all around us. Most of them were low-class mythical monsters. There are lizardmen, horn rabbits, centaurs, Hellhounds, and goblins.

They suddenly attacked us. Grandfather instantly slashed through many mythical monsters indiscriminately. So too with Syahir. Mr. Shahir directly used the skill warcry to lure the entire mythical monster towards him and slashed at the monster one by one.

I slashed some mythical monsters while Nadha hit the mythical monsters with a stick. We both work together and look after each other.

Meanwhile Armstrong attacked the mythical monster while flying with his magic and keeping his distance. Armstrong looked like he was protecting the book he was holding.

After thirty minutes of fighting we finally finished the monster as well. We don't know what the purpose and purpose of the mythical monster was to attack us.

Suddenly the ruins of the castle shook violently. We panicked and tried to get out of the castle. The nearest way out is the window. So we all jumped right out of the window except Armstrong who was flying casually.

After we got out, the castle completely collapsed. Everyone felt it was an earthquake made by someone. But there was no one around us standing.

Finally the book that Armstrong brought was handed over to grandfather. Not far from where we stood there was a very lush tree. We decided to look at the book.

Not long after we saw the contents of the book suddenly appeared 7 shadows in front of us. It was not like humans, it was just that they were very similar to humans.

I don't know what happened when we suddenly moved. We were all confused, and looked around at the room we had just entered. The room was round in shape and seemed to be made of wood.

"Welcome, introduce me Merlin" said Merlin as he walked towards us.

Mr. Syahir and grandfather took a position like they were going to attack but was stopped by Armstrong.

"Call down, sir, I recognize him. King Raizen also knew him," said Armstrong reassured his grandfather and sir Syahir.

Nadha and I stared at each other, as if knowing about Merlin.

"Are you the one that the king of Raizen told me about in his book?" nadha asked to make sure.

"Yes, lady, we should meet in the underground chamber of the majapahit kingdom. But because of the enemy's attack I finally decided to move you," Merlin replied while explaining what happened.

After that we all sat in a circle. Merlin explained everything both the book and the reason Merlin moved us.

"First I will explain about the people who attacked you. They were mythical monsters that were under the lead of the mythical monster king now. They have the nickname the seven great sins" Merlin explained to us as he opened the book that the grandfather had brought.

Merlin shows the kind of monster the 7 big sins of the books that are on the table. First named Pride dragon. The two named Greed are stealth foxes. The third is called the satirical Sloth. The fourth one is named Wrath, Gigas. The fifth is named Gluttony, a demon orc. Sixth named Envy lucifer. The seventh named Lust is a succubus.

Merlin also explains about a mythical monster king whose ambition is to make humans their slaves. Although so many mythical monsters do not agree for example like Merlin. Most mythical monsters that had been side by side with humans did not know this information.

While Merlin was still explaining things to us, a very loud explosion was heard.

"Maybe the enemy has already found our location" Merlin said as he held his face.

"I'll face them. Please take care of these children Shahir, Armstrong and Merlin" said the grandfather with great confidence.

"Wait for you, we must fight together. It won't be easy if only Albert's own master fights," Merlin assured grandfather.

"Now our conditions are unfavorable. But we also won't be able to get out of here without fighting" said Merlin again.

After that Merlin gave an idea to fight. Eventually we were transferred by Merlin out of the room. We are divided and I am in a group with Merlin, Nadha and Armstrong will face three great sins. While grandfather will face two major sins, so will Shahir.

"Wake up Rize" said Mr. Shahir. A group of snakes appeared on the ground next to Mr. Shahir. It was a mythical monster named Rize the type of medusa.

Mr. Shahir and Rize fight Wrath and Sloth.

"Come to Avalon," cried Grandfather to call Avalon.

Grandpa and Avalon against Pride and Envy.

The four of us will play Greed, Gluttony and Lust.

Mr. Syahir uses the sword of light skill. Instantly a very dazzling light appeared all over the corner. At the same time we all attacked the enemy.

Mr. Shahir launched an attack on Wrath trying to slash directly. But Wrath was not scratched in the least. Wrath immediately took out his earthquake skill.

Meanwhile, Rize took out a poison gas style so that it filled the poisonous gas around Sloth. But Sloth didn't move a bit from that place.

Grandfather took out a skill called step-closer that served to shorten the distance abruptly while slashing at Envy's neck using a dagger in both hands. But Envy can withstand grandfather attacks with just 1 finger.

Avalon in human form mode takes out its laser canon skill from its mouth. But it is easily condensed by pride.

In our group the great sins surrounded us. But Merlin made a refuge around us. Surprisingly no one dared to approach that protector. From within the protector Armstrong cast a divine ray of light magic onto the three great sins, and there was a fierce explosion.

At the time it happened it was seen that grandfather was still fighting with Envy. Grandfather suddenly moved very quickly attacking the entire seven great sins even though the distance seemed quite far away.

"All of you let me take care of this," cried Grandfather without hesitation.

The seven great sins that were originally separated were thrown into the same area due to grandfather's attack. Envy is very upset that Albert did not use his full ability to fight him.

"Master don't be rash, we can still help" said Mr. Syahir while looking anxious at the look on his face.

"Just calm down, I can fight them all," said the grandfather replied to the doubts of Mr. Shahir.

"Leave it to us. Take it easy we are a very good team" Avalon said as he approached grandfather.

"Merlin please make them run away from here. You can do it right," said the grandfather forcing Merlin with his words.

"But grandfather I can help you" I said reassuring grandfather.

But grandfather just smiled at me and blinked one eye. It turned out that Mr. Shahir and Armstrong directly dragged me. Nadha and Merlin ran behind them.

It seems that all the great sins are trying to pursue us. But it was blocked by Grandpa and Avalon. After successfully confronting the seven great sins grandfather faced us and directed his hand at me with a raised thumb. It looks like giving the code that everything will be fine.
