CHAPTER III The Deleted Legend

3.6 The Goals of the Seven Great Sins

"Huff, thank God it was on time," a distant woman's voice sounded as I tried to open my eyes.

I tried to open my eyes hoping to get out of the darkness that was in my sight. Little by little my eyes opened. Little by little light began to enter my eyes so that I could see the people sitting on the ground with me.

As my gaze began to recover, I tried to stand up by propping both of my hands to the ground. I slowly got up while looking in different directions to see the surrounding conditions.

When I look at my left side I see a woman I know. The woman who separated from me when I was going back to the Academy District five years ago.

"Hey Merlin, how are you?" my broom while waving to the woman standing on the left a bit away from me.

"Hallo Remembered, I'm fine," said Merlin returning my greeting with a smile and waving his hand.

After that the other people around me started to rise from their positions and clean themselves from the dust stuck in their clothes.

"Merliiiin," said Nadha as she ran spread her hands towards Merlin.

"Yes princess," said Merlin responding to Nadha as she stroked the head of Nadha who was holding her.

"Hey-hey where's Escanor?" I said when I realized Escanor wasn't among us.

"Oh, he purposely I stayed," said Merlin very casually.

"Hahaahhh?" I said surprised that Merlin left Escanor on purpose.

"Just remember, the Escanor is strong" said Merlin casually looking like reassuring me.

"But Merlin.

"I'll move you back soon. So just calm down. And also Escanor could definitely hold them back or even defeat them," explained Merlin with great confidence, looking from her extremely optimistic facial expression.

I just lowered my head and imagined what would happen to Escanor. So that I think back to the events when I left my grandfather who withheld seven major sins five years ago.

"Let's remember, everything will be fine" said the Harlequin king who had patted me on the shoulder first.

After the words of that Harlequin king, I slowly began to calm down. I then saw someone standing in confusion with this incident.

"Hey there is no need to be confused so Elric," I whispered to Elric after approaching him.

"Later if there is time I will explain the details to you" I whispered again to Elric who still looks confused. Elricpun nodded and began to calm down.

"Well, for all who are here I want to say something important" said Merlin who is still in Nadha's arms.

"Can we discuss the princess first?" merlin said again while looking at Nadha's face.

"Alright," said Nadha as she let go of her embrace to Merlin.

After that Merlin revealed the information he had to all of us. The information surprised us all. Over the next five years, Merlin gathered various pieces of information. One of them is information related to our fight right now.

"Therefore there are now Sloth and Wrath who are looking for that weapon. Because reportedly the weapon was near the city of Palu," Merlin explained to us.

"What are they gonna do with that gun?" the king of Harlequin asked Merlin seriously.

"The weapon has a very terrible ability if the wrong person uses it. So we need to get it first from them" replied Merlin who looked worried from the look on his face.

"Why are you guys so sad?" merlin asked puzzledly looking at our expressions.

"Well, you see, Warth has gone with a spear-shaped weapon" I said limply. Finally Merlin was surprised and followed with a grim face.

"Alright, instead of us keeping silent let's go back to the Escanor fight scene," said Merlin, who was unwilling to be swallowed by regret for failing to secure one of the snowman's weapons.

"Alright," I said together with the others like getting excited again.

"Dimension," said Merlin, so he moved us to where Escanor was left.

When I opened my eyes, the conditions surrounding the fight between Escanor and Sloth were severely damaged. Many holes and many trees around were cut off. In addition there were some reddish-colored flames burning on the ground around Escanor and Sloth.

I was really shocked because what Merlin said was true that Escanor could withstand Sloth. Even I saw Sloth as if it was out of breath. In contrast to Escanor who still looks relaxed.

"How?, do you still want to continue?" said Escanor who looked bragging.

"Damn it," cried Sloth and immediately moved closer to Escanor to attack.

Escanor easily held Sloth's hand and broke Sloth's right hand. A red liquid splashed all the way out of Sloth's right arm. Sloth immediately jumped backwards.

Suddenly a black hole appeared behind Sloth. Two enormous black-coloured hands appeared from the black hole. Then pull Sloth's body into the black hole earlier.

"Escanor don't let him get away" cried Merlin who was not far from me.

Upon hearing Merlin's voice, Escanor rushed to reach the Sloth that was being pulled by the hand from the black hole.

"Hahahaha, I will definitely reply to this Escanor," said Sloth who looked very angry. After that Sloth went into the black hole and then the black hole disappeared.

When the black hole disappeared, Escanor was right in front of the black hole that disappeared earlier.

"Damn," cried Escanor as she hit the ground beneath her body making a crack in the ground.

We who were originally just standing away from Escanor immediately ran over to her. Escanor who was still in the form of a dragon changed into a human being.

"Are you okay Escanor?" I asked when I approached Escanor.

"I am this strong know," said Escanor smiling as she boasted.

"Basic," I said avenging Escanor's arrogance.

After we all put out the fire around the forest, we sat in a circle on the ground. We rested while hearing the continued explanation from Merlin.

"Well, look why is everyone gathering here?" ask someone who suddenly comes near us.

"Oh Johan, how's your mission?" asked the Harlequin king after looking towards the voice earlier.

"Walk smoothly the king, just calm hehehe," said instructor Johan who looks disrespectful to the king like normal people.

"Good, the stones you collected just leave it to me. The rest continued to look for him," the king of Harlequin said in a relaxed tone speaking to instructor Johan.

"Ready to do the king. Don't forget the bonus, hehehe" instructor Johan said as he whispered a little to the king of Harlequin although it remained audible to us.
