CHAPTER III The Deleted Legend

3.1 Stick.

I was traveling with one adult and one person my age. Now I have grown taller unlike five years ago.

Yes, I am now fifteen years old. This is the fifth year after I finished my training in the Academy District. After finishing my training in the Academy District, I was invited by instructor Jihan to study and explore the art of fighting the assassin job.

Five years ago I parted ways with Robin and Nadha. They also do their respective job deepening. Nadha studied under her own mother, the queen of the Carleon kingdom.

But somehow he stopped after two years of war despite having many achievements in warfare.

While I was now invited to travel around the entire kingdom with instructors Johan and Elric. Instructor Johan quits the Academy District on the grounds that there is a special assignment Carleon kingdom assigns to him. But during these five years I have not seen instructor Johan perform any special tasks. He just relaxed, told me to practice, gave directions to me and Elric, and the rest was lazy.

As we are doing now is relaxing on kute beach. Kute beach is in the territory of the kingdom of Carleon precisely on the island which is in the territory of the kingdom of Majapahit first. "Ehm, I think we were born with a certain purpose and purpose" I said in response to the woman's question.

The woman simply fell silent and continued to look at the ocean. The sound of waves and wind accompanied the two of us that night until finally without me realizing my eyes were closed.

"Hey Remember waking up, waking up," said someone who sounded vaguely.

I opened my eyes and saw Elric trying to wake me up.

"Ah, I overslept" I said after opening my eyes. After that look around and it turns out the woman was no longer seen.

"Ehh, what's going on?" I said I thought there was a blaze in the direction of the city we had visited this afternoon.

"As soon as we rush there, the instructor is already there," said Elric who then ran.

I followed him to the trees beside the beach. After jumping up and down in the trees in the forest we both finally got to where the light came from. We both realized that there was something strange about the incident in the city.

We were both watching from the top of the tree to ascertain the situation. A lot of people run around here and there. They look scared on their faces.

"Outside, duar, duar," the sound of explosions was heard many times and followed by a very strong vibration.

Me and Elric finally decided to split up to find out what really happened. Elric went to the right while I went to the left.

After that I met the mayor of the city. He's right outside the east gate. I found out the mayor had met when I stopped by the city.

This mayor is said to have been chosen not for his fighting ability. It's very different from the mayors in the cities I've been to. But he is very wise in making decisions for his people. His hair is white mixed with black which indicates his age is quite old. His body looks very small and walks using a unique stick in his right hand when we first meet.

"Our mayor what really happened?" I asked the mayor who was panting. It looks like sweat is pouring out of his body.

"There are some mythical monsters within the city that are raging. Fortunately most of the residents have been evacuated by the guards" the mayor said as he tried to lean himself against the wall.

"Sir, are you okay?" asked a guard who suddenly came from inside the city.

"Ah, I'm fine. It's just that my wand was left inside the office" said the mayor who was in front of me.

"Leave it, it's just a stick" I said to the mayor, saying in my heart the old man still thinks of his wand in this state.

"But it's a relic of my old friend and he asked for help to keep the item to me" the mayor said in a very angry but sad look on his face.

"Eh, yeah, I'll try to find him. Please take care of the mayor, lord of the guard," I said, feeling guilty to the mayor and then straight into the city.

I jumped over the residents. My destination is the middle of the city where the mayor's office is located. In addition, the sound of several explosions came from that direction.

When I was very close to the mayor's office I saw people I knew were there carrying the mayor's baton. It was Zeref in its install mode.

Although five years had passed there was no change to Zeref's body at all. The change I felt was the pressure of his strength being stronger than the first time we met.

City guards and various types of mythical monsters were lying in the middle of the city. Besides that I saw instructor Johan being surrounded by goblins, ghouls and ogres that were overwhelming.

Suddenly Elric appeared from the west. He instantly attacked some of the mythical monsters that surrounded instructor Johan. While instructor Johan was just silent when Elric finished off all the monsters that surrounded him.

I immediately jumped to attack Zeref silently. But my attack failed. He managed to dispel the slashes of both of my knives with the stick he was carrying. I was blown into the air.

While still in the air I called Escanor. Escanor emerged from behind the clouds that were rapidly sliding behind me. We immediately used a dragon's thump. But Zeref quickly dodged our attack.

"Hey boy it turns out you've grown" said Zeref who actually looks the same age as me.

"Elric and I remember being a supporter, I will fight him" said Mr. Johan who walked over to me. It looks like a mythical monster that was still very much now no longer alive.

Beside Johan sir, there was Venom floating following him. While walking closer to me saw the expression of his face that turned very serious.

"Install," shouted the jihan pack so that he joined Venom who was beside him.

After that, Johan attacked Zeref. The clash of Johan's gun and Zeref's baton sounded really loud. Mr. Johan moved from every direction to attack Zeref. While Zeref defended very calmly while fending off the attack of Mr. Johan.

Suddenly Zeref lost his composure and looked breathless. Elric and I, who knew Zeref's strange reaction, took out thunder and flame magic from afar to help Johan.

Both of us can cast this advanced magic since we have already ascended the job class. We are both ninjas. In addition to the thief skills we have mastered, we have mastered ninja skills for two years.

After a large explosion, Zeref suffered serious burns. Then Mr. Johan immediately arrested Zeref and took the mayor's baton.

After tying Zeref up, Johan immediately interrogated him.

"Who are you?" ask Johan seriously.

"Ask the white-haired boy" Zeref replied casually.

Finally, Johan turned to me.

"Let's you know this guy?" ask Johan to me.

"He was the one who messed up the tournament in the survival life pack" my frog answered Johan's questions honestly.

"What are you planning?" ask Johan again to Zeref after I explained in detail the events five years ago.

Zeref just smiled and seemed reluctant to answer the question, Mr. Johan. Mr. Johanpun was upset with the attitude of Zeref so beat him.

Looks like the villain you fought yesterday was after this stick. I don't understand why, but this thing seems to be very pent..," said Mr. Wayan who was explaining suddenly cut off because of my surprised voice.

"Wahhhhhh," I screamed in shock when I saw one of the paintings that was right behind me sitting down.

"Remember, we're talking about something important" Johan said, reprimanding me.

"Hahaha, it doesn't matter, Mr. Johan. This is common for children their age. So what surprised you, young man?" said Mr. Wayan who was very understanding and then asked me.

"Do you know the person in the painting, sir?" I was very enthusiastic while pointing at the painting behind me.

It was a painting of ten white-haired people with weapons in each of his hands. One of them is similar to the stick carried by Mr. Wayan. While one of the men is seen carrying a sword that I seem to have seen.

But what was surprising was that there was a photo of someone who looked a lot like my grandfather even though he looked young.

"Oh, the man with the knife is my friend. He served as the majapahit crown prince at that time. And the one beside him was the one who gave this stick. Look the same as in the painting," explained Mr. Wayan with great attention.

"Well, if you know what his name is?" ask me again curious.

"His name is Albert" answered Mr. Wayan briefly.

"Why do you look so shocked young?" ask Mr. Wayan to me again.

"Oh it's okay sir, I just like I've met him," I said, not lying to anyone. But I think it's better that no one knows my relationship with grandfather for a while.
