CHAPTER III The Deleted Legend

3.3 Disaster.

I saw some residents shoulder to shoulder to shoulder to move the scattered corpses. Some royal officials are also trying to evacuate some survivors. Some are looking in the ruins of buildings, some are looking by the sea, some are utilizing the abilities of their mythical monsters to help.

Some people are also calling someone's name. They shouted for a different name. While I helped evacuate the bodies.

I was assigned by Mr. Johan to help the people evacuate the bodies. Elric was ordered to see the surrounding conditions. Mr. Johan met with the authorized soldiers and city leaders.

"If anyone can still be saved then try to save him," said Mr. Johan before we separated earlier.

Seen lines of humans who stretched stiff with various wounds all over his body. Their skin color has turned blue. There were some people I saw standing next to some bodies. Some people shed their tears and some try to look tough. I thought they were the family of the people who had died.

Although I cannot bear to see them, but I will not be able to take away their sorrow. Therefore I tried even harder to evacuate the corpse. Because that's all I can do now. At least the victim that I evacuated her condition can be known by her family.

Several times back and forth to evacuate the victims, I saw an old grandfather standing on the edge of a collapsed building. I approached him and greeted him.

"Hey what cake are you doing?" ask me politely.

The grandfather turned his head towards me and saw the look on his face trying to endure the sadness. I immediately stood beside the grandfather accompanying him to see the collapsed building in front of me.

"Well," call the old man to me.

"Yes cake" I replied casually to him.

"This world is indeed unpredictable" said the grandfather as he stepped slightly forward with a wooden stick supporting his body.

"What do you mean cake?" ask my grandfather.

"You know young man. I have children, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. They are younger than me and have a very strong physique. My granddaughter is very active in doing activities that she loves. While my son and daughter-in-law are very good to me and the people around him. But I don't know why their lives were taken in this enemy. I am still old and often sick. Why wasn't I the one in this house back then?, well this is the world. No one could predict anything exactly in the future," the grandfather said in a hoarse voice as if holding something in his heart.

I can't say anything to Grandpa. I could only approach him and stroke his back. Instantly I remembered my grandfather who until now had not heard a single word about him. I don't know what he's doing. But I hope he's okay.

Seen a lot of clouds alternately covering the sun. The typical hot air of a tropical seasonal kingdom guides me to walk around a city that is quite crowded. A lot of people are moving around in this city.

I have been in this city for a month. The city is called Donggala. This city is the nearest city from the city of Palu which experienced a disaster last month. I was with Elric purposely living in this city by Mr. Johan.

Elric and I were assigned to assist the royal soldiers in dealing with the victims of natural disasters. While Mr. Johan went looking for his own zodiac stone.

"Hey Elric," I said, greeting the man who was right in front of a very large tent.

"Oh hey Remember," said Elric after turning to me.

Inside the large white tent, many children aged six and under were playing. Today we are in charge of looking after the children and taking them to play. This is a way to eliminate their trauma about the natural disaster that occurred last month.

Among those children, there was one of the children that Elric and I remember most named Sincan. He's a kid who loves to troublemaker and prank his friends. I assume that he behaved like that because he wanted to be noticed by the people around him. Sincan may want to fill the void because both of his parents died in the incident last month.

The little vibe was felt when Elric and I started playing with the kids. Slowly the vibration grew bigger. Elric and I hurried to coordinate the children to slowly exit the tent.

These small tremors often occur after an earthquake. But the vibration this time was indeed different from usual. The vibration is getting louder and louder.

Those of us who rushed to evacuate the children were not aware that Sincan was fleeing. We realized after gathering in the field a little far from the tent.

"Have you seen Sincan?" I said to ask the children gathered in the field.

"Do you know Himawari?" asked Elric who happened to be nearby.

"Yes, brother, I saw him go towards the forest alone," said Himawari who looked very innocent.

After that I went towards the forest. Robin was guarding the children waiting for the soldiers to come. The ground vibration does not stop although it sometimes weakens and sometimes strengthens.

I'm so worried about Sincan. I searched every corner of the forest but did not see him. I finally found a cave near the cliff.

My feeling is that Sincan was in that cave because it was impossible for a seven-year-old to pass through the forest alone so quickly.

I tried to enter the cave slowly. The deeper I go, the darker the eyes can't see around. I used my instinct skill to walk in that very dark cave. Will the boy enter the cave in**i? I said in my heart that began to doubt.

When I wanted to break out of the cave, suddenly a very strong shock was felt. Some of the cave stones I felt began to collapse. I jumped around in the darkness to avoid the collapsing stones.

After a few seconds I jumped up and down inside the cave and finally the vibration stopped. I was really trapped in that cave. I can tell that because of using instinct skills.

So I called Escanor to come from outside the cave. I waited for a few minutes and finally Escanor called me from the other side of the cave.

"Hey are you okay on that side, boy?" ask Escanor from the other side of the stone ruins.

"I don't mind, please tell Elric that I'm stuck here. Because it looks like if we forcefully smash the gospel rock it will make it worse" I shouted at Escanor.

"alright boy. I go first" said Escanor and her footsteps slowly disappeared.

I who was tired of waiting finally walked into the cave even deeper. After thousands of steps I saw the light at the end of the cave. I thought at first it was another way out, but it was wrong. As I approached the light it turned out that inside there was a vast room filled with red magma.

Small bubbles appear on the surface of the magma. But even though I was close enough to the magma, the heat was not felt at all. Maybe because there was some kind of thin barrier I saw around that magma.

After I looked around it turned out that there was someone sneaking around in front of me. He was wearing black and covered his face. In addition he carried a long sword that was still in the sword sheath on his back.

I was confused by the behavior of the person trying to find a reason he was sneaking around. I looked at the other side of the room. It turned out that there was a group of demons and a human there.

I noticed they were too serious, so I didn't realize the person in front of me had already disappeared. Suddenly my mouth was closed by someone behind me.

"Ssssttt, be quiet don't be noisy" the man whispered to me. After I calmed down, he opened the hand that closed my mouth.

"What's really going on?" so much smirked at that guy.

"I've been watching them for a month. I'm suspicious of their behavior" said the man in black.

"They're like trying to destroy the shield that's in the magma" he continued.

Eventually we both noticed their behavior from afar. Occasionally the demons attacked the protective layer together. While a woman stood beside the demons.

Every time they attacked that layer, there were vibrations that made me feel like it was going to be dangerous.

"It looks like it would be dangerous if it continued like this," I said to the person in black.

"Yes it seems so. I have a plan, do you want to help me?" ask that guy to me.

But when the person in black spoke to me, a very intense shock suddenly occurred.
