CHAPTER 44. Black magic?

Ying Ying knew Wei Bu Yi's ultimate goal was to see Bai Lu as a subtle threat so that Bai Lu knew Li Chang Le was within Wei Bu Yi's protection.

Although Wei Bu Yi went to the border of the capital, in case something happened to Li Chang Le aka Ying Ying, Bai Lu would have to take full responsibility and accept the consequences from Wei Bu Yi.

Of course Bai Lu himself knew Wei Bu Yi was threatening and gave a subtle warning to him.

Just like Wei Bu Yi, the two eunuchs did not say goodbye to Bai Lu and Chang Ru. For the two of them, only Ying Ying was respected as the empress of Prince Wei Bu Yi.

Bai Lu and Chang Ru were nobody in the eyes of Eunuch Da Duo and Eunuch Xiao Duo. Moreover, Bai Lu and Chang Ru only pretended to be kind to Wang Fei that they glorified so they did not need to give face to the two scheming women either.

Chang Ru became emotional from feeling disrespected by the two eunuchs of Wei Bu Yi's confidence.

"Tan Xiang's! Take me to the room. I'm afraid that Chang Ru's sister is using the status of crown princess to punish me later," Ying Ying said with a chuckle.

"Miss Chang Le will be Wang Fei. I am sure that Prince Wei Bu Yi will protect my lady" Tan Xiang said.

"Damn it! Li Chang - Le!"

"Be careful Ying Ying!" li Chang Le's spirit shouted while protecting Ying Ying's body spontaneously.

"THE SICK!" chanted Chang Ru in pain while holding both of her flushed cheeks.

"Chang Ru's! Why did you slap your own cheek?" ask Bai Lu.

"No! I want to sow…."

Chang Ru did not continue her words but rather slapped her own face hard. Even the corners of his lips were spitting out fresh blood.

Li Chang Le's spirit smiled broadly at Chang Ru's swollen cheeks. It was almost that Spirit Li Chang Le had forgotten that Ying Ying already possessed such great magic power that it could fight Chang Ru easily.

Li Chang Le's spirit flew into the bell pendulum, whereas Ying Ying was deliberately staring at Chang Ru from head to toe.

"Why did Chang Ru's sister slap her own face?"

"Basic ja*ang! You must be the one….."

"SICKNESS! MAMA! HELP ME!" chanted Chang Ru in pain as her hands could not stop slapping her own face.

Bai Lu tried to hold onto Chang Ru's two hands, but to no avail.

"Chang Le's! Chang Le's! Help brother!"

Bai Lu was as thoughtful as Chang Ru that it was Chang Le that caused Chang Ru to slap her own face so she was forced to ask Chang Le for help.

"I don't know why Chang Ru's sister slapped her own face!" ying Ying replied with a plain face.

Bai Lu grew even more panicked at Chang Ru's sobs and also the loud slapping sound repeatedly. If left continuously, Bai Lu was worried that Chang Ru's face would be broken.

"A Niu! Lim! Tie Chang Ru's hands together!"

"Okay young lady!"

"Madam! It seems Miss Chang Ru was hit by black magic!" said A Niu.

Ying Ying smiled faintly upon hearing A Niu's words.

"Yes, right! Chang Ru's sister must have been exposed to black magic! Tan Xiang, quickly grab the barrel that Bu Yi gave you!" ying Ying's orders while pointing towards the direction where Wei Bu Yi's horse stopped earlier.

Ying Ying used his magic power to quickly turn the ground into a small-sized barrel with a lid.

"Yes, Miss Chang Le!" tan Xiang replied obediently and ran over to pick up the small barrel, then returned to Ying Ying's side.

Although Tan Xiang did not enter the cave in Qing Qiu, Tan Xiang suspected that his young lady had gained extraordinary magic power after coming out of the cave.

"Black magic? The barrel given by Prince Wei Bu Yi? What does Chang Le mean?" bai Lu asked in a panic.

Ying Ying did not answer Bai Lu's question, but rather took a small barrel from Tan Xiang's hand and walked over to Chang Ru.

"Chang Ru's sister! I'll help you!"

Ying Ying opened the small barrel lid and poured the liquid inside over Chang Ru's head.

"Argh! The blood! Blood!" chanted Chang Ru hysterically, then fainted instantly.

"Chang Le's! What did you do to Chang Ru?" bai Lu.

"I saved Chang Ru! Look at! His hands did not move by themselves anymore!"

Bai Lu immediately untied the rope in Chang Ru's hands and examined it closely. In accordance with Ying Ying's words, Chang Ru's two hands no longer slapped her own face.

Bai Lu could only contain his anger by tightly clenching both of his hands. Chang Ru's state was extremely miserable with a puffy face and the entire body smelling fishy blood.

"What blood is this?"

"Blood an**ng!" answer Ying Ying.

"Why did Prince Wei Bu Yi give you blood an**ng?" asked Bai Lu curiously.

"When we got home from Qing Qiu, we were attacked by a hitman who used black magic."

Ying Ying opened a little Wei Bu Yi's outer robe so as to reveal patches of blood on her hanfu.

Bai Lu was surprised to see the blood spots on Ying Ying's hanfu and immediately looked at Tan Xiang's hanfu. Hanfu Tan Xiang was also filled with blood spots.

Bai Lu was wondering why he had not seen the blood on Tan Xiang's hanfu. Not only was Bai Lu alone, Chang Ru and the servants at the front door were also unaware of the bloodstains.

It was all because Ying Ying used illusory magic power to trick all of them, but Chang Ru wanted to slap him so that Ying Ying obtained this brilliant plan quickly.

"A Niu! Get the torch down that way!" ying Ying's orders while pointing at the street where Eunuch Da Duo's horse stopped earlier.

"Blood!" said A Niu stammered as he saw pools of blood and also blood spills along the way.

"Prince Wei Bu Yi's horse-drawn carriage was killed. It was fortunate that Tan Xiang and I were saved by Bu Yi, but our hanfu was exposed to the blood of the assassins. Bu Yi was worried that the black magic would react again so as to give an*ng blood as an antidote. I wanted to hurry to the room to clean myself up and burn my hanfu, but Chang Ru's sister held me back from being exposed to black magic!" clearly Ying Ying was at length and a serious face.

"Miss Chang Le is getting smarter at lying!" inner Tan Xiang.

The maids took a few steps back so as not to get close to Ying Ying. They were unwilling to be exposed to the effects of black magic like Chang Ru.

"Madam! Tan Xiang will escort Miss Chang Le to the room now!"

"Go!" bai Lu said with a kettle.

Although Ying Ying's words were not believed by Bai Lu one hundred percent, Bai Lu believed in black magic.
