Chapter 23 [Realization, Crisis, and Plan]

Alves then sneered. "Since when did we get close until you said relax with me like that?"

Lu Feng held his chin with a finger as if he was thinking. "Hmm, since we first met?"

Alves' sharp ears caught Joy's mutter. "Explain more details" he ordered.

"When Gege ran off with Lu Feng, I met Hao Zixin who took us to take shelter in the bunker. And he, Hao Zixin, saved us from the plant's mutant .. by taking fire out of his hand" Joy said seriously.

Alves' facial expression stiffened. "A hidden psychic?"

Joy shakes. "It's hard to believe, but the power of fire has something to do with a few recent events."

Joy then repeated the story that Hao Zixin told while in the underground bunker in detail without forgetting a single word.

"Shortly after the dark phenomenon, a mysterious virus emerged that spread and infected a number of people so that they have a fever that varies from low to high depending on the person. And then they can get supernatural abilities like us?"
