Chapter 53 - Sacred Forest

Fang Je who was standing beside Zhang Me was closing his eyes while breathing deeply to enjoy the fresh air that was served as well as the dense, lush and green forest scenery.

Currently Fang Je and Zhang Me were in the Sacred Forest. Fang Je himself was amazed and astonished because from what he knew and heard that the Sacred Forest was a terrible place very different from reality.

Because when Zhang Me was sent to the Sacred Forest he was not in the shadow of Zhang Me so he did not come with him.

Fang Je himself had no idea what Zhang Me was really up to, he only followed Zhang Me's orders to rush to the field where the tournament was held a few days ago where the participants were sent to the Sacred Forest through the Dimensional Portal.

Zhang Me did not reply, he simply nodded and walked through the Sacred Forest Forest Door.

And suddenly there was an earthquake, the wind was blowing to make the trees move, the birds in the Sacred Forest began to fly and chirp unsettled.

The other beasts like wolves were unpretentious and the temperature within the forest instantly changed drastically. This incident happened just like the first time Zhang Me had come to the Sacred Forest.

Fang Je who had no idea became worried and immediately stood in front of Zhang Me just in case a ferocious beast suddenly came attacking.

"It's okay, it's just a welcome" said Zhang Me walking past Fang Je who was still in a standby position.

As Fang Je had expected, hundreds of large-sized Wolves were running towards them.

"Don't attack" Zhang Me said, stopping Fang Je from attacking.

"Why? Otherwise they will kill us" Fang Je said.

"They won't attack or touch us." Zhang Me replied trying to convince.

Although not so sure yet but Fang Je still obeyed Zhang Me's words without reducing the slightest bit of his vigilance.

Then the hundreds of Wolves transformed into humans made Fang Je surprised instead of playing.

"Finally you came." said one of the men who stood at the front precisely in front of Zhang Me, he was Ertai.

"How can I not come when you always appear in my dreams and your voice that fills my ears makes me want to kill you" Zhang Me said.

"You're really interrupting my dating time" he continued.

"But I was wondering how you could do that to me? How did you get into my dreams? How can you send me a message?" zhang Me asked.

Ertai grinned while scratching his non-itchy nape and said, "For now it doesn't matter, I'll explain it later But before that there's something I want to say and make sure of you."

With a flat face Zhang Me retorted, "You don't even know me so what do you want to make sure of?"

"You're right, but the diamond is on you" Ertai said.

"Why do you call that stone a diamond? Very different from real diamonds, after all I accidentally found it on the street." Zhang Me explained.

"To make sure, you better come with us." Pinta Ertai.

"But who is he?" ertai asked looking dislikefully at Fang Je.

Various expressions shown by them when they heard the threat of Zhang Me who seemed arrogant but also creepy.

After a short debate, Zhang Me decided to join them to the depths of the forest with hundreds of Wolves.

Amidst the journey there were countless types of animals ranging from the smallest to giant animals staring at Zhang Me meaningfully.

And in the end their steps stopped in front of a large Goa.

"Come with me." pinta Ertai directed Zhang Me to enter Goa.

"You can't come along." added Ertai when he saw Fang Je who wanted to follow behind Zhang Me.

"Wait here, I'll be right back." Zhang Me persuaded Fang Je who showed a dislike expression.

Even so Fang Je continued to listen. With an uneasy feeling he let Zhang Me pass by just entering Goa with Ertai.

When he was in Goa, Zhang Me did not feel any oddity just the more he entered Goa then the temperature will be cooler and the depletion of air makes it difficult to breathe.

Ertai's steps stopped making Zhang Me stop, "We have arrived" Ertai said.

"What do you mean?" zhang Me asked, not understanding.

Zhang Me followed Ertai's gaze which led to a large chest

"In the coffin contained the corpse of the Sovereign of all Divine Beasts."

"I don't understand what you're saying at all, so what does that have to do with me? Can you say it more clearly?" said Zhang Me.

With a serious face Ertai began to explain that in the Chest there was a corpse of someone who had died hundreds of years ago.

The corpse was the corpse of the Divine Beast Master who had been killed.

His death caused great turmoil. All the Divine Beasts were wrathful and blamed each other so that it was man who received the consequences.

The chaos that occurred hundreds of years ago was an unforgettable disaster but the incident came to a halt when an unknown old man suddenly appeared and exterminated a portion of the Divine Beasts and locked them inside a Dimensional Portal.

But three years ago the old man came back to meet the Divine Beasts and said that the Divine Beast Lord would soon be reborn with the marked Diamond Divine Beast that re-united.

Zhang Me gawked at Ertai who finished his story while scratching his head trying to digest Ertai's words.

"Divine Beast?" repeated Zhang Me seemed to think until something came to his mind.

"Well, I see your point but this stone is not mine. I just found it." Zhang Me said as he showed the black stone that was on his palm.

And unexpectedly, when the stone was raised the Chest trembled giving a reaction.

"To prove it you can put the diamond on top of that golden bowl and try to open the coffin."

"If just opening the coffin everyone obviously can."

"No, after him no one has ever been able to open it except the next Sovereign" Ertai argued.

"It's already a provision."

Zhang Me exhaled his coarse breath and walked up to the Chest. He placed a Black Stone called a diamond by Ertai on top of a golden bowl and tried to open the Chest.
