Chapter 36 - Tournament II

All participants sent through the dimensional door have been in the Sacred Forest with a view of the dense, lush and green forest and the air is so fresh that everyone feels comfortable. Is this really the Sacred Forest? thought they.

Some participants became worried and some others behaved in an ordinary manner in contrast to Zhang Me who actually felt familiar with the atmosphere in the Sacred Forest.

One by one the participants began to rush through the Jungle Door, the door through which to enter the Sacred Forest, to immediately kill many Beast before sunset.

Zhang Me who was also participating into the participant was still standing in his place, from behind the robe he circulated a look of feeling familiar with the surroundings.

"Hey you! why are you keeping quiet? are you scared?"

Zhang Me turned his head and raised his head slightly then looked at a girl who had just invited him to speak.

Other than Zhang Me, there were still two girls who had yet to move out of place. They were Hui Xin and Mi Yue, who looked to be 20 years old, 4 years older than Zhang Me.

Zhang Me noticed Hui Xin who had a large tall posture, he looked like an arrogant and rude person.

Unlike Mi Yue, she looked thin, meek and had a sad look like a person who was desperate and had no hope.

"Hey stupid! why are you quiet?" said Hui Xin snapped.

"Hurry now! if you're afraid, just come with us." she continued while holding Mi Yue who just threw a smile at Zhang Me.

Zhang Me did not reply to any of his words, he simply followed behind and passed through the Jungle Door.

And suddenly there was an earthquake, the wind was blowing to make the trees move, the birds in the Sacred Forest began to chirp unsettled, the other beasts like wolves were unpretentious and the temperature within the forest instantly changed drastically.

Hui Xin directly pulled Zhang Me's arm roughly to get closer to her.

Zhang Me flinched, he almost fell down because of Hui Xin so much that he snatched away an annoyance and said, "Let go! stop touching me." he said trying to shake off Hui Xin's grasp

Hui Xin herself did not care, she instead clasped tightly onto Zhang Me's arm as if she was worried that something would happen to Zhang Me.

Just as Zhang Me wanted to attack Hui Xin, suddenly came a large-sized spider was blocking their way.

The spider immediately attacked first and made the three of them flung far away and made Mi Yue brow hit something bloody.

Hui Xin stood up first, he walked up to the spider and drew his sword perched on the waist and brutally attacked it.

Instead of helping or participating in the attack, Zhang Me instead sat where he was thrown earlier and silently watched.

Mi Yue who saw Zhang Me's behavior looked at him dislike and worry for Hui Xin who had painstakingly defeated the spider.

"What's wrong with her? he attacked without using a pattern, he was only a late-level Earth Swordsman, it would be difficult to defeat him if it were like that." Zhang Me muttered.

Hui Xin moved with great speed and agility in every direction, she struck erratically at the spider making Zhang Me shake his head at it.

Hui Xin was even thrown several times because of the spider's attack. But he did not give up, he just kept getting up and attacking again.

Until Zhang Me then realized, from the beginning Hui Xin fought until now there was a great anger on Hui Xin, "But what made her suddenly angry like that?" zhang Me said inwardly.

Hui Xin was exhausted and exhausted, that was when she let her guard down, the spider used it by spewing something out of her mouth and then fired towards Hui Xin.

The attack was successfully received by Hui Xin, a spider web hit him and his entire body became full of thick black and sticky mucus which caused his body to become stiff and unable to move.

"Xixin!" shouted Mi Yue, she immediately approached Hui Xin who was sculpting.

Zhang Me was still sitting in his place, Mi Yue herself had already shed tears that soaked her face from seeing Hui Xin like that.

"You! why just shut up? help us beat him!"

Zhang Me pulled the cover of his head back and smiled behind his veil and said, "Why should I? you did it."

Mi Yue became furious, her eyes reddened with anger, what person she was talking to was a heartless human? thought.

The stunned Hui Xin saw the incident glaring at her reddened eyes. Zhang Me could see that Hui Xin was trying to break free from the slime causing her to be unable to move.

"This will be a pleasant spectacle." Zhang Me muttered.

Then Hui Xin's body let out a purplish-colored light and caused the nets as well as the mucus covering her body to slowly disappear.

With effort and hard work Hui Xin finally broke free from the sticky mucus in her body. He turned his head for a while towards Mi Yue being thrown then looked at the smiling Zhang Me and came back face to face with the spider that was moving towards him.

Unlike the initial fight, now Hui Xin's attack has a pattern and targets the spider's legs but is still full of revenge and anger, clearly visible from his face.

He intended to cut it off, but not as easily as imagined, the spider's legs were so strong that they were even stronger than steel that it made Hui Xin look for a powerful point of attack to paralyze him.

Over time, Hui Xin managed to inflict a lot of injuries on the spider, although it was only a scratch wound but instead he started to weaken and ran out of strength to fight so he was only able to survive.

Zhang Me yawned, he looked at Hui Xin lazily, "Boring..."

Zhang Me then held two small knives in one hand and then threw them at the spider and managed to stick them in both eyes, according to the target.

The spider was in pain. Hui Xin who saw that turned her head briefly towards Zhang Me then took advantage of the situation by attacking the spider back quickly.

He attacked back the wounds that already exist on the spider to make it easier to paralyze it.

Zhang Me threw a small knife back at the spider's mouth when he saw it wanting to spit out the net and disgusting sticky mucus.

The giant spider was finally paralyzed, now the spider is helpless and moaning in pain in its place.

Somehow Zhang Me who had heard his moans became sad, as if a close relationship was established between them.

Hui Xin smiled to see the giant spider was paralyzed, he then walked towards Mi Yue who had been awakened with blood and brought her closer to the spider.

Hui Xin gave her sword to Mi Yue with a smile and said, "Hurry up, kill this beast."

"No Xixin, you killed her." Mi Yue refused.

Zhang Me smiled cynically and moved from where he approached the two of them and said, "Well, what's going on here? Didn't I help you take him down? Then why did he have to kill her? Is it so that he gets the points in this Tournament?"

"Indeed why? Didn't you have no intention of helping us in the first place?" saut Mi Yue's.

"Do you know what when you're busy enjoying your sleep?" tease Zhang Me.

"You didn't even do anything." Zhang Me continued.

"You!!"

"Stop it!" hui Xin mediated.

"For this time alone I beg to let Yueyue kill the spider" Hui Xin pleaded.

"Why should I let it go?" ask Zhang Me on a whim.

"Yueyue is very weak and does not know how to fight, she does not even know how to hold a sword" Hui Xin replied.

Zhang Me's forehead shriveled and again said, "If it's like that, then why did he enter this Tournament? If indeed he was so weak why would he be able to escape the first round?"

"I asked him to enter this Tournament, although with my help he must look strong so as not to be humbled and no one dares to hurt him again. About the first half, it was me who helped her to get away.." explained Hui Xin long with a reddened face holding back anger.

Zhang Me only nodded in response, although he was actually curious how Hui Xin helped Mi Yue in the First Round. However from the looks of Hui Xin being very affectionate towards Mi Yue, and the cause of Hui Xin being angry was unclear as it saw Mi Yue getting hurt.

"Alright, just take it, I don't need it, next time you should be able to control your emotions." Zhang Me said as he pulled back his headgear forward and passed away leaving the two of them behind.
