Chapter 18 - The Proud Man

Zhang Me who had just walked out of the Lotus Shelter House was shocked when he saw that there were many people who were looking at him meaningfully.

It turned out that without realizing it, what Zhang Me was doing was witnessed by many people outside.

At first the people wandering around were curious about the noise inside the Lotus Halfway House building, especially when Zhang Me shouted. His cries containing that power could still be felt several kilometers away from the building he was in.

Various expressions were seen from the faces of the residents when they saw Zhang Me coming out because from the outside they could not see Zhang Me's face clearly.

"What the fuck?" murmured Zhang Me astonished.

"Aiss, I haven't been here a day, but I've been attracting a lot of people." she said slowly.

Suddenly a girl walked up to Zhang Me and hugged him, saying, "Jiejie, thank you. Because of you, my mother will not be bullied again by the bad guy." he said sincerely.

Zhang Me scratched next to his non-itchy cheek as he nodded in response to the girl.

Then he circulated his gaze looking for the figures of Fang Je and Meng Ye who went somewhere.

Zhang Me was silent for a moment, he felt something then said, "Please let go.." Zhang Me smiled as he let go of the girl's embrace and left from there.

As Zhang Me was busy with his affairs, Fang Je decided to take Meng Ye to a nearby inn due to her seemingly chaotic condition.

"Auntie, you can clean your body and change your clothes, then rest, I'll take care of you from the outside." Fang Je said politely.

"Who are you? and why hasn't my daughter returned?" saut Meng Ye was awakened from her shock.

"I'm his personal bodyguard, he'll be back soon, you better get some rest first." Fang Je replied and left Meng Ye.

Meng Ye frowned, hesitating slightly at Fang Je's words, as she did not know that Zhang Me now had a personal bodyguard.

"Personal bodyguard? sure enough, where did that naughty girl get the money to pay for it? the more days my daughter is getting naughty." said Meng Ye.

"And now, he hasn't come back yet, making me very worried." he said anxiously while exhaling violently.

Then he entered the room that Fang Je had rented from the inn that was not far from the Lotus Halfway House.

While Fang Je chose to go down to the main floor of the restaurant in the inn, he sat down by himself while contacting Zhang Me using telepathy.

Fang Je is currently in the Golden Rose Inn. One of the large and famous inns in Lehan town which is not far from where Zhang Me.

As the name implies, the building material is made of gold, luxurious interior and there are many rose plants whose aroma spreads throughout the room.

It didn't take long, Zhang Me finally arrived there and then entered the inn casually regardless of the gaze that had always been on him.

When he arrived at the table where Fang Je was, he pulled out a chair and sat down and said, "Where is my mother?" tanyakanya.

Fang Je did not reply, he was still fixated on seeing Zhang Me. Fang Je had indeed seen Zhang Me's face while at Gazuura headquarters, but still he was even more fascinated when he saw it at close range.

"Hey! what are you looking at?!" zhang Me shouted while hitting the table.

Fang Je and all of the guests there gasped from their shock at Zhang Me.

"Pardon me sir." said Fang Je nervously.

"Stop calling me master, it's very unsuitable for a beautiful girl like me." Zhang Me protested.

Fang Je opened his mouth shut but made no sound, now that he knew that his master was a person who was happy to praise himself.

"Where's my mom?" ask Zhang Me again.

"He was in the room I had rented." replied Fang Je.

Zhang Me raised an eyebrow and spread his gaze throughout the room, "This inn is big and luxurious, I think the rent is not small, where did you get the money?" ask Zhang Me.

Fang Je grinned as he scratched his non-itchy head, "I picked up all of your coins while we were at Gazuura headquarters." he replied.

"You're not very polite to take people's property, but it's okay, you're like my secretary." said Zhang Me.

"Secretary?" fang Je asked not to understand.

"I mean personal bodyguard." said Zhang Me and replied with a nod.

"Can I sit here?"

Zhang Me and Fang Je turned their heads together, looking at a man who had suddenly come to them and offered to sit down together.

Fang Je put his shoulders together, "I don't think so." she replied.

Zhang Me then looked back at the man, "Do you know us?" zhang Me asked with his flat face.

"No, I just want to join you guys" she replied smilingly, trying to lure Zhang Me in.

"Alright you can sit down." Zhang Me replied.

Then Zhang Me stood up from his seat, "Let's meet my mother and leave immediately." he told Fang Je.

Fang Je nodded then moved from his place towards the room where Meng Ye was and was followed by Zhang Me.

The man who had just been left behind became annoyed, angry and did not accept Zhang Me's treatment of him. His name was Gong Min.

"It's so daring for him." muttered Gong Min clearly holding a grudge against Zhang Me.

Soon he moved from there to the table not far from where Zhang Me was.

"Haha! what happened to Gong Min? she was the first girl to reject you..."

"He didn't even look at you for a minute..."

"I think the man she was with was her lover..."

"You don't have to worry, now sit down and pay for all our food..."

"Haha!!"

The table dwellers Gong Min approached laughed happily, they were his friends.

Gong Min came with them, he was one of the men who was fascinated when he saw Zhang Me.

Gong Min who was very confident with his handsome face bet would approach Zhang Me and would pay for all his friends' meals if he failed.

"I got curious about the girl, I just saw her." said one of them, Joon Guk.

Sae Do Yi, the man next to her hit Joon Guk on the head slowly, "Have you visited the entire Qing empire? Do you think there are only a few people living here? Aiiss is a fool." he said.

"Shut up, you're disturbing my meal." Geun Soo protested on the sidelines.

While Gong Min was silent, his clenched hands he placed on the table with an expression that was still very upset over the incident.

Before long Zhang Me appeared along with Fang Je and also Meng Ye. They walked out of the inn.

"Wait!" yelled Gong Min and threw the spoon towards Zhang Me.

Zhang Me stopped his steps and caught the spoon and then threw it back at Gong Min without even looking.

"Come ma'am, we must return immediately." exclaimed Zhang Me again continuing his steps.

While Gong Min was intent on catching the spoon that led to him just like Zhang Me did, he undoes his intentions after realizing his speed and prefers to dodge.

"How dare you!" yelled Gong Min.

All eyes were on him, Zhang Me who had just passed the inn door walked over to Gong Min.

"How dare you? Don't you recognize me?" Jerking Gong Min.

"I am Gong Min, a very rich noble in this empire, I can even buy you if I want, so don't have to be expensive." continued Gong Min.

With his flat face, Zhang Me said, "Don't bother me if you don't want me to kill you haughty man." Zhang Me warned with a sharp look.

Hearing that made Gong Min become nervous and unsteady, Zhang Me's piercing gaze made her feel fear for a moment.

When he woke up, Zhang Me was no longer in front of him, "Damn it! he had already left.." cursed Gong Min upon seeing the departure of Zhang Me who left the inn.

Gong Min sat back down with a still irritated feeling, "I'll look for him and repay him for what he did to me..."

"Gong Min, your face." exclaimed Sae Do Yi while pointing towards Gong Min's left cheek.

Gong Min frowned and held next to his cheek.

There was a long enough scratch wound but not deep enough to bleed a little, it was caused by the wind generated from the throw of the spoon Zhang Me.

"Who is that girl?" inner Gong Min was curious.
