Chapter 37 - Tournament III

At the imperial palace precisely at the location of the Tournament, the spectators stared seriously at the floating pieces of the plaque.

The pieces of the plaque belonged to all the participants who were running the Second Round in the Sacred Forest.

The participants who managed to kill the Beast Otamatis pieces of his plaque placed on the box will float and show the name and number of animals they have killed.

One of them was a piece of plaque belonging to Mi Yue that floated in the air and showed the number one as well as emitting a purple-colored light which was a sign that he had killed a single high-level Beast.

There were three color divisions according to the level of the Beast.

When the Plaque was White, the participants managed to kill a low-level Beast, while Blue for a medium-level Beast and Purple for a High-level Beast.

Hence the plaque belonging to Mi Yue was of concern because her plaque became the only one that emitted a purple-colored light.

The spectators were quite dejected this as they could not see the participants fighting against the Beast Making them feel a little disappointed.

"If only we could see the participants fighting, maybe this would be a lot of fun..."

"You're right, I feel bored if I just see the placards floating..."

"Yes you're right, very boring..."

"Just go to the Sacred Forest if you want to see it..."

On the other hand in the Sacred Forest, the participants were fighting against every Beast that came their way.

The disturbed Zhang Me opened his eyes in annoyance. He looked at a man who was also staring at him, then closed his eyes again acting indifferent.

The man who got such treatment from Zhang Me gaped in disbelief. Zhang Me should be feeling worried and alert, he thought.

The man threw it back with a small stone, in Zhang Me's heart said, "If the man throws me again then I'll kill him."

"Hey, who are you?" ask the man.

"Do you need to know?" saut Zhang Me without opening his eyes.

The man frowned hearing Zhang Me's voice, he realized that the person he was talking to was a woman.

"Are you one of the participants in the tournament? and intend to kill the Beast here?" tanyakanya.

"Yes." Zhang Me replied.

"How many have you killed?" ask again.

Zhang Me opened his eyes and glared at the man in front of him then said, "Not yet, what is it? You shitty guy, get out of here!" remove Zhang Me.

"You're the one who's supposed to get out of here, this is my place." she replied.

Zhang Me looked at the man from top to bottom after hearing his words. From the start he had thought that this man was one of the participants it seemed but what had just been said made Zhang Me suspicious.

"You live here?" ask Zhang Me.

"Of course." she answered.

"Are you not a participant like me?" ask Zhang Me again.

"Of course not, I will never want to be like you guys who are so vile and always attack and even kill us for no reason!" he said with emphasis.

Zhang Me was quite surprised to hear the reply that was thrown, whereas the participants only killed the Beast, not Humans. Or maybe there were participants who secretly killed humans living in the Sacred Forest area?

"Who are you really?" ask Zhang Me again.

He began to realize that it could be or might be in the area of the Sacred Forest there is a village or whatever it is where the humans live. But in a place of danger like the Sacred Forest is anyone able to survive around here?

Zhang Me was in a dilemma with his own mind, his intense curiosity made him have to figure out the truth.

The man Zhang Me asked did not reply, he became nervous and became misbehaved making Zhang Me even more suspicious of something.

Zhang Me stood up, he looked at the man and anointed him.

Zhang Me frowned after analyzing the man before him, there was something strange, the man before him was very different from ordinary humans.

"Just tell me, who are you?" zhang Me asked very curiously.

"Are you.." said Zhang Me cut off.

The man immediately attacked Zhang Me and there was a fight between them.

The unprepared Zhang Me had to accept the man's attack and get a claw wound on his arm.

"Your fingernails are so annoying..."

Zhang Me looked at his wound with a smile and blocked the man's attack. He let the man continue to attack him so that he was in a defensive position and continued for quite a long time.

The man became annoyed at being played with so much that he did not realize that he had let his guard down and gave Zhang Me a chance to launch his attack.

The fight continued, whenever Zhang Me had the chance to attack, he would only deliver a light blow making the man wonder what Zhang Me meant.

"What do you mean?" tanyanya stopped fighting.

"What's wrong?" saut Zhang Me's.

"Tell me why are you just giving me a meaningless punch like that?"

Zhang Me looked like he was thinking and said, "Come, I just don't feel like hurting you..."

"Except..."

The man frowned, "Except what?"

"Unless you don't tell me who you are, then I could kill you" Zhang Me replied.

The man laughed loudly at Zhang Me's words, "Are you crazy? you can't even hurt me!" said proud.

The man stopped laughing, he stiffened and his face turned deathly pale. He stared at a long and deep scratch that Zhang Me had made on his body from chest to abdomen.

Now his gaze on Zhang Me turned into horror. The person standing in front of him was a monster capable of wounding him even in the blink of an eye.

Zhang Me touched the blood from the man's wound using his index finger then tasted it behind the veil and said, "Emm, your blood is so sweet."

The man glared in disbelief, he did not expect that the woman in front of him would do something like that.

After a few seconds their bodies emitted the same light, a gray light.

"Hm? what light is that?" zhang Me asked.

The man was silent, he stared at his incessant wound with fresh blood and made him immediately take off his shirt and tear it and then use it to cover the wound. Zhang Me who saw him somehow became anxious and agitated.

"What happened to me?" zhang Me said.

For the first time he felt guilty after injuring someone. He then took something from under his cloak and gave it to the man.

"Splash this on your wound" Zhang Me said, handing over a small bottle containing a faded yellow powder.

The man grabbed her and watched her carefully and said, "What is this?"

"Swash it." Zhang Me replied and walked away from there.

The man unscrewed the bottle and then spilled on the wound on the chest to the stomach and then he felt a very intense pain and after that the wound slowly closed and dried instantly.

He was quite surprised and amazed by the powder that Zhang Me gave him, although it did not remove his scar but at least the wound could heal very quickly.

He then immediately ran to catch up with Zhang Me who was already far ahead of him.

When he was close behind Zhang Me, he just silently followed from behind until a light enveloped Zhang Me's body made him surprised instead of playing.

"He.." he said cut.

"Auuuuuuu...!!"

The Wolf roar suddenly filled the entire forest making Zhang Me stop walking and become alert upon hearing the sound of the wolf roar very close to him.
