The Lord Of The Mysteries

The Lord Of The Mysteries
The Chapter 205

Klein instinctively reached into his pocket. He held the Lighted Sun Spell in one hand and the Azik copper whistle in the other.

He actually noticed that the cold and gentle Beyonder feedback from the latter had disappeared as if it was being suppressed by an invisible force. However, the former was still warm and comfortable.

Making use of this comfortable feeling, Klein entered a half-cogitation state. He blocked his feelings of worry and did not let anything happen.

He turned around and looked at Leonard Mitchell, then pointed his chin towards Megose.

He then controlled his expression with his Clown ability and smiled at Megose.

"Do you want coffee, black tea, or nothing at all?"

Megose stroked her stomach as if she was listening to something.

"A cup of warm water. Suddenly I was thinking of chatting with you guys about Lanevus. I feel you know a lot."

"Who told you that?" Leonard was no longer the reckless man he used to be. His smile turned somewhat stiff.

Megose suddenly giggled.

"My son told me. He knows a lot. He's so smart!"

Klein fought the urge to curse. He turned to the partition and gestured for Leonard to keep Megose calm.

Leonard forced a smile and pointed towards the sofa.

"That's what I want to talk about. We'd like to have a chat with you about Lanevus."

Behind the reception desk, Rozanne looked on in confusion. He suddenly realized that he didn't need to do anything.

Klein quickly walked through the partition and directly opened the door to Dunn Smith's office, then closed the door loudly.

He saw Dunn looking surprised before turning serious and said in a heavy voice, "Captain, something serious has happened. I know what Lanevus meant by bombs!"

Dunn stood up and pointed outside.

"Mego?"

He had clearly heard Leonard's startled cry, but he was unable to see the expression of fear and cold sweat on his team-mates' faces.

Klein nodded and explained quickly, "i tried to activate my Spirit Vision to observe Megose to ascertain her mental state, but my spirituality stopped me from making that effort. It keeps "warning" me not to see, that I'll die if I do. so!

"This reminds me of the saying, 'you may not look directly at the Gods.' Even if the fetus in Megose's stomach wasn't an evil god trying to descend into this world, or a descendant of an evil god, it was definitely a legendary creature.

"Captain, attributing this to the black altar in Hood Eugen's memory, with his Psychiatrist abilities, to the tragic world as described in the letter of Lanevus, I think my guess is quite close to the truth: the: Lanevus obtained ritual magic associated with the True Creator from members of the Aurora Order. With the help of Hood Eugen, he transforms Megose into a Vessel to give her a certain power. Then, this power would harness the hatred, oppression, and gloom around the factory to grow rapidly into adulthood. On the other hand words, the ritual itself requires this hatred, oppression, and gloom to succeed!"

Dunn considered Klein's words seriously for nearly twenty seconds before nodding with a serious expression.

“I will immediately ask for help from the Holy Cathedral. May the baby in Megose's belly still be able to wait!

"Of course, we can't just sit around and do nothing. Tell Leonard to keep Megose calm and keep her company. Tell Mrs Orianna, Rozanne, and the others. Have all non-fighters evacuate!

"I will head to the back of Chanis Gate after I send a telegram. We must prepare for the worst, that is, if baby Megose is born before the arrival of reinforcements from the Holy Cathedral.

"As Captain Tingen Nighthawks, I have the authority to use Saint Selena's ashes during emergencies!"

Abu Saint Selena. The ashes of the High Sequence Extreme. The core seal inside the Chanis Gate. He quickly thought of other things.

"Captain, we can also ask for reinforcements from the Mandated Punisher and Machinery Hivemind; they should have similar holy items!"

Klein suddenly got inspired as he muttered to himself, "Lanevus' case was originally under the scope of Mandate Punisher. Old Neil and I were there to help when one of their senior members lost control…"

As he spoke softly, his voice became a crescendo.

"Captain, can you ask the Mandate Punisher whether the member who lost control is tracking down or keeping Megose under surveillance?"

"Do you suspect she lost control because she was corrupted by a baby in Megose's stomach? They were in charge of Megose as the investigation progressed." Dunn replied seriously. "We can't delay any further. Go to Lady Orianna and the others. I will use this time to send a telegram to ask for help from the Holy Cathedral first, then I will inform the Mandate Punisher and the Machine Hivemind. Yes, I also have to send a telegram to the police department and see if they can find a reason to evacuate the nearby citizens."

"Good." Klein had taken a few steps out of the room when he suddenly recalled something. He thought about the coincidence of Megose's sudden visit.

The shadow of a building with a red chimney appeared in his mind. He turned around quickly and said to Dunn, "Captain, one more thing. Do you remember the coincidence I told you about? Clues to the Antigonus family notebook at the house opposite the kidnapping, Ray Bieber is unable to get out. Tingen was on time, Hanass Vincent exposed himself due to a coincidence, and how a member of the Order of Aurora lost his life because he happened to meet me, etc.

"All of these coincidences are very subtle and difficult to detect, but the fact that Megose suddenly came looking for us right after we found Lanevus' letter is too obvious and straightforward. It just so happens to be open before us, no longer hidden! I think that the person behind this will soon be the center of attention!

"Also, why would Mrs Sharon risk killing Member of Parliament Maynard? Is this also a coincidence?"

Dunn thought about it and gave a serious answer, "i'll put this point into the telegram."

Orianna's mother is preparing a budget for the last three months of the year. He wanted to finish it first just in case the Captain forgot about it again. When he saw Klein enter, he greeted him with a smile.

"Lad, what claim should you make today?"

Klein sighed.

"Mrs Orianna, we're going on vacation today. Get home soon."

Orianna froze for a moment, staring at the serious face before her in a daze.

A few seconds later, he stood up in confusion.

"Good."

Klein added hastily, "Help me inform the other employees in the office and armory. I'll tell Rozanne."

"Yes!" Orianna didn't even pack. He grabbed his handbag and rushed out of the accounting office.

He turned around and looked at Klein after entering the corridor. He drew a red moon near his chest and said, "You will all be blessed by the Goddess!"

Thank you, Klein replied in silence. He walked past the partition to the reception area only to see Leonard chatting with Megose about Lanevus, his expression stiffened.

Klein leaned towards Rozanne as he filled up a cup of warm water. He then whispered, "Go home, it's dangerous here. Come back tomorrow."

Rozanne opened her mouth in shock but closed it again after seeing Klein's stern expression.

He lowered his head and packed for about ten seconds before picking up his bag and leaving the reception area.

As he walked past Klein, he bit his lips and whispered, "To be honest, I respect the Nighthawks just as much as I hate others who become Beyonders …"

After seeing the employees evacuate the Blackthorn Security Company, Klein brought warm water to Megose, bent her back, and placed it on the table in front of her.

"I have something to finish, I'll be right back."

As he stood up, he took the opportunity to lean into Leonard's ear and whispered, "Save him here."

Leonard clenched his teeth and widened his mouth into a grin. She continues her conversation with Megose and notices that Megose is becoming a little restless, as if she is losing her focus.

Klein returns to the Captain's office, only to realize that Dunn has gone underground. There's a telegram on the table. That's the answer from Mandated Punishers.

"Yes. We'll be there soon."

The Mandated Punisher had indeed lost control because Megose. He did not know if he was waiting for the Captain to take the holy ashes or reinforcements arrived.

I wonder if High Order Extreme could teleport.I guess not. He noticed that the gas lights on both sides of the corridor were now faded blue.

Amidst the darkness, Dunn followed the stairs towards the corridor. In his palm was a palm-sized ash box.

This box looked like it was made of pure silver, but it also felt like human bones. It was carved with many mysterious patterns. Klein felt increasingly cold getting closer to the box, as if a chill was quickly seeping into his blood.

Dunn's face was bathed in an icy blue light. He told Klein, "Go to the Chanis Gate and select the Closed Artifact with the highest offensive ability. Decide exactly which one by your own judgment. I already told Seeka and the Guard inside. Watch for hidden threats. Of those , there are three Class 2 Closed Artifacts, namely..”.

"Oh, now that I've taken out Saint Selena's ashes, Seeka and Keeper can't leave their current positions."

At this point, Frye and Royale are at Kenley's house in preparation for the funeral. The Archbishop at Saint Selena Cathedral has gone to the countryside to preach.

"Good." Klein did not hesitate, immediately turning to the basement.

As he approached the intersection, Klein suddenly stopped. He knew that most of the Closed Artifacts behind Chanis Gate in Tingen City were Class 3 and would have little effect on the baby in Megose's stomach. It was, at least, a legendary creature.

The Mutated Sacred Emblem of the Sun might work, but the effects took too long. There are only three Class 2 Sealed Artifacts in Tingen City, and they are all extremely dangerous artifacts that could easily result in my death… I estimated their strength to be almost the same as my Burning Sun Spell, so I can't have too many reservations later. I will use the Flaring Sun Charm without hesitation! It would definitely be as powerful as a Class 2 Closed Artifact; after all, it had the power of divine blood in it. Klein's mind revolved as he nodded unseen.

He felt the Burning Sun Spell and the Azik copper whistle in his pocket, but he was surprised to find that the latter's sensation returned.

Regardless of whether it was useful or not, Klein took out a set of pens and paper used for divination and wrote a short message.

"The man who made my fate inharmonious and stole your son's skull has appeared. He had arranged for Megose to enter the Blackthorn Security Company at 36 Zouteland Street. It is likely that Megose hid the son of the evil god.

"The situation is urgent."

He put down his pen and folded the paper. Klein took out a copper whistle at the junction and blew, then watched as a gigantic skeletal envoy appeared in front of him.
