The Lord Of The Mysteries

The Lord Of The Mysteries
Chapter 182

The weather in Tingen went from a refreshing chill to a piercing chill in early September. However, the sunlight at three or four in the afternoon is still warm and soothing.

Klein penetrates the walls of spirituality and the windows of the oriel. He floated in the air outside his bedroom as he ignored the people and carriages that went back and forth to Daffodil Street.

Just then, there was a man in a gray worker uniform who suddenly raised his head and looked up.

Klein panicked and wanted to hide, but he was unable to find a suitable cover.

When he saw nothing to hide, he began to sneak back into his house. However, from the corner of his eyes, he saw the man before just glancing at the window. Then, his gaze followed a flying sparrow, but unfortunately, he lost his sight.

In Tingen, birds are sometimes seen.

Phew. I forgot that ordinary people would not be able to see me. Klein heaved a sigh of relief and felt that he was not used to this situation.

As he grew more confident, he flew lower and went to the nearby wide road where he floated above people's heads.

As he got closer, Klein soon realized that his "vision" was the same as his Spirit Vision. There was no need for him to activate it, but there was a limit to his range.

Moreover, other than his aura and emotional color, he could vaguely sense the existence of everyone's soul. They are fuzzy, illusory, and transparent.

In this state, I thought I could pass through someone's body and directly attack their soul.

He turned around and prepared to test his fastest speed. Hence, he flew towards Iron Cross Street with all his strength.

It didn't take long before he stopped and arrived outside the apartment where he used to live.

It should be about the speed of the car on the highway. It is a pity that I still can't get in and out of the spirit world; otherwise, it would be perfect, it is said that the consequences are severe. As Klein finished his self-evaluation, he felt uninspired and moody. There is unspoken pressure.

He looked around and felt that Iron Cross Street was engulfed in the gloom that ordinary people could see, a darkness that the sunlight could not escape. There were overlapping layers of numbness, despair, pain, and other emotions, as if they were corporeal.

It felt like what I experienced when using spiritual perception on this path when I first became a Diviner. The Middle Way and Lower Road of Iron Cross Street has not changed to this day… Klein recalled the past and sighed as he flew to the third floor of the surrounding buildings.

He finally felt the sunlight and dispelled his depression.

Klein flew along the Lower Road and, from time to time, he would see residents wearing tattered clothes, appearing expressionless and malnourished. He even met two bodies that had died of natural causes— prolonged starvation and malnutrition with a sudden illness.

There are many people who die in agony every month. However, the bankrupt peasants and slaves that surged from the Southern Continent replaced them very quickly.Klein sighed silently and changed direction and flew south.

It was Tingen's industrial estate. Steel mills, tin mills, ceramic mills, printing mills, metalworking mills, machine construction mills, and other mills are all built side by side.

As he flew, Klein looked at the towering chimney. He saw dust filling the air and a thick darkness that was only slightly better than on Lower Street.

It was filled with emotions of exhaustion, pain, pessimism, and numbness. Workers in their thirties are considered a minority.

Just as Klein wanted to fly lower to look at the area closer, he suddenly felt weak. It was a weakness that came from within him.

My spirituality cannot withstand the pressure. Klein became alert. He was in a hurry to return home, but he suddenly thought of a better possibility.

I'm "called" out. If I end the summoning, I will return naturally! He became calm and carefully sensed his surrounding environment and status. Not surprisingly, he found something connected to him from a great distance but also very close to him. It formed a complicated bond for him.

Through this connection, Klein clenched the Blazing Sun Spell tightly and was determined to end the "call".

A huge and terrifying suction force overpowered him as his figure transformed from transparent to almost invisible, and in an instant, he disappeared from the corporeal world.

Silence was everywhere in the boundless gray fog, and there were illusory red stars twinkling about. Klein reappeared in a tall palace that looked like a giant mansion, as he sat on the seat of honor on the ancient bronze table.

The whole procedure went well. Next, Klein looked at his Spirit Body with pleasant surprise and saw that it contained a warm and pure golden part.

The Enchantment of the Lighted Sun!

I actually brought something real to the world above the gray fog! He held the amulet with a smile and played it to make sure it was not an illusory item.

Klein stood up and paced around, feeling truly grateful. He thought to anticipate.

I just need to find the right way!

However, this way is quite complicated. I need to do a little bit before I reach my goal. Besides, if I was summoned by members all the time, it would ruin the image of The Fool. I could only do it occasionally, or after I had better understand it. I can devise a spell that calls "worshippers" the Fool, but it will also be addressed to me…

… I am not a born worker. Why should the spell point at me? When the time comes, I can imagine what a more unique messenger or "worshipper" looks like and let it handle the delivery and collection of materials …

Ideas emerged one after another as Klein pondered over them. But due to the limitations of his ability and knowledge, he had not been able to practice it.

As he became weaker, Klein did not dare to stay any longer. He used his spirituality to envelop himself and simulated the feeling of descending.

In the blink of an eye, he returned to his room. He saw a beautiful sunlight entering through the crack in his curtains.

He inspected his body and made sure that the Blazing Sun Spell was not brought back but left above the gray fog.

When I have enough rest, I will repeat the ritual of summoning at dawn to bring the Blazing Sun Spell back to reality. That way, I will be able to investigate the houses with red chimneys. Too bad I haven't been able to do it yet. I can only fly long enough to investigate a few houses before having to go back over the gray fog and rest for half a day. Efficiency will be equally low. Klein walked in front of his desk and turned off the lit candle without a sound.

After he packed up his things, he did not immediately remove the wall of spirituality. Instead, he sat down and took out a pen and paper to write a letter—letat for Mr Azik!

After he wrote the greeting "Dear Sir," he pondered for a few minutes before writing:

"… Recently I received news that one of the Seven Pirate Admiral, Rear Admiral of the Storm, Qilangos, had infiltrated the Backlund. He was carrying a mystical item called 'Creeping Famine.' It provides abilities similar to that of the Shepherd, who is the Order 5 Beyonder that swallows different souls and gains corresponding strength. It is said that there is a limit to the number of souls that can be expended to graze, but souls can be exchanged…

"… Qilangos seems to have a lot of Beyonder power, and I'm not sure what he's trying to do in Backlund … The news I have received suggests that he may be pursuing a very important and very mystical item that can make Qilangos a High Order Beyonder or as powerful as a High Order Beyonder.”.

Klein fabricated his source of information to describe the situation with Qilangos in general, but Mr. Azik will not seek Captain Nighthawk to confirm it.

Klein did not directly ask for help but made it seem like he was talking about the matter casually to encourage Azik to be careful.

Regardless of whether Mr. Azik is willing to help, it never hurts to lay the foundation first! If Klein finally needed to ask for help, it would not just appear! Klein sighed slowly and began to write the main contents of the letter.

"The mastermind behind everything that has happened has not taken any further action, and I still have not found any related clues.

"The reason why I called you so suddenly is mainly to ask for your guidance on the ritual sacrifice. I found something like that during a recent mission …"

With the description of The Sun and Mr. Azik's answer to compare, I should be able to try the ritual sacrifice afterwards. By reversing the ritual, I should be able to give you the item. It will be a more suitable ritual to exchange materials and items than to call myself… Klein nodded slightly. He put down his pen without signing his name.

There is only one copper whistle, so I'm sure Mr. Azik won't make a mistake with the sender.

Therefore, to be careful, Klein did not leave his name.

After he folded the letter, he looked at his three-meter-high ceiling. He took the copper whistle from the bed with a slight hesitation.

Perfect, let it squat and get the letter! Klein emphasized inwardly before raising his right hand and putting a copper whistle to his lips. He puffed his cheeks and blew hard.

The whistle made no sound, but Klein's sharp senses noticed that his surroundings instantly turned cold.

He activated his Spirit Sight and saw that there were fuzzy but shimmering white bones coming out of his study table like a rising fountain.

The white bones quickly gathered together and turned into an illusionary yet huge monster. His head tore through the walls of spirituality and reached an unknown place.

Klein looked at the white thighs and skeletal body, as well as his hanging arms. Seeing his right palm open, the corner of Klein's lips twitched as he threw the folded letter.

The huge bone palm swept out and grasped the letter firmly.

Then, Klein took his copper whistle and blew again without hesitation.

The monster shattered in an instant, turning into a bone that fell onto his desk before sinking and disappearing.

After doing all that, Klein put away the walls of spirituality. In the suddenly blowing wind, he limped towards the clothes rack and returned the copper whistle to where it came from.

Then, he quickly walked over to his bed and stuffed his head into it.

As her body touched the soft mattress, she fell asleep.
