When faced with a strange sense of familiarity, other Sequence 9 Beyonders may try their best to remember or even ignore and forget about it. But a fortune teller is different. Klein immediately ended the ritual and removed the walls of spirituality. He took out a piece of paper and wrote on it a statement: "Source a sense of familiarity."
After which, he sat on the edge of the bed in the room and quietly read it with a piece of paper in hand.
Seven times later, his pupils became darker. He fell asleep with the help of Cogitation and began to speak with his own spirituality.
In the foggy and wrinkled world, Klein saw a carriage. He saw a young woman wearing a long gray dress.
This woman had fine black hair, her face was somewhat round. He had a gentle and pleasant demeanor, but his body shivered unnaturally.
The image flickered and once again, Klein looked at this beautiful young lady in the underground market. He crouched down and talked to someone.
The dream receded quickly and Klein woke up, understanding why the image he saw in the mirror was so familiar.
He had met this person before!
First time on Daffodil Street, in the district near Iron Cross Street. The captain and the others were after Tris the instigator that night. Klein thought for a few seconds, then set his ritual once more. He asks the Goddess for help to sketch out a portrait of the enemy in his memory.
Dunn and the others had waited quietly, without bothering Klein unnecessarily. Only when he finished sketching did they swarm in and examine the portrait.
"You've met him before?" ask Dunn.
Klein slightly nodded and replied simply, "Yes. I saw him at a public train stop on Daffodil Road the night you chased after the instigator. It's in the district near Iron Cross Street."
"Then, it was likely that he was the enemy just now. Partner of the Incitement." Dunn nodded while thinking.
Leonard suddenly chimed in, "Don't any of you feel that this portrait is so familiar? He was very similar to Instigator Tris!"
Klein froze, immediately turning his gaze to the portrait again and studying it closely.
"Yes, they look very similar. Round face, narrow eyes, gentle demeanor ..." The more he looked at the portrait, the more he felt that what Leonard said made sense. The biggest difference was that the Tris instigator had ordinary features whereas the young lady could be considered beautiful.
Klein raised his head and looked at Leonard, realizing that he was gesturing something to him by raising his eyebrows.
What does he mean? Klein's confused.
Dunn Smith guessed, "She could be the sister of the instigator. Maybe like her brother, she joined the Theosophical Order or the Demon Sect."
Leonard sighed after he realized how bad Klein was at reading his mind. He said in a serious tone, "i have a bold idea."
"What idea?" ask Dunn.
Leonard explained briefly, "i think this person is Tris' instigator!"
"What?" fry shouted in shock.
Dunn furrowed her brows and said, "You mean Tris the instigator is actually a female, or a male pretending to be a female? No, from that dream, I can confirm that she's a girl."
After all, Klein had been faced with many creative and ridiculous plots. He looked again at the portrait and immediately guessed again.
"Could Tris' instigator be a woman?"
That could explain a lot. For example, why was the path to Tris suddenly cut off? Why can't they find a trace, even with a prophecy? Maybe because there was a fundamental change to their target! The only question was how he could turn into a woman in such a short time. And it seems rather simple .. He has a pretty good appearance even after his transformation. I mean, to be honest, she's quite attractive, Klein thought, puzzled.
Leonard nodded in relief, "Yes, that's my theory. This could perfectly explain why Tris's instigator seemed to have disappeared. It also matched the strange fact that the upper echelons of the Demon Sect were all female."
Dunn and Frye were momentarily at a loss for words.
Although they had seen many monsters and amazing things, this was the first time they had dealt with a transformation like this!
"What do you mean there are many women in the upper echelon of the Demon Sect who used to be men?" ask Dunn. He did not wait for an answer before saying, "That might just be possible.Maybe it was, no, a unique characteristic of their potion."
Klein slightly shivered as he listened. He felt that the Demon Sect potion was a trap!
“Let's hope a similar potion doesn't exist in the path of the Diviner. That's the Devil's path. Even the name of the potion sounds wrong. But I still don't know what suits him. Order 1 for the Oracle is ..." Klein involuntarily began to pray to the Goddess.
"Can the potion accomplish such a thing?" Frye asked with a little disbelief.
Leonard laughed and raised his hand.
"Even a medium-to-lower order potion can cause unimaginable changes. After all, everything comes from the Creator."
Dunn turned to look at Klein. "Try to guess where the target will appear next."
"Good." Klein went to the pile of dresses and picked one with mixed emotions. He spread it on the carpet.
She held her wand over the dress and recalled the target features and relevant information. He then began to read in his heart.
"The Trissy."
…
Seven times later, Klein's pupils turned from brown to black. The wind started blowing around him.
His left hand let go of his wand, letting his black wand sway.
Despite the trembling, the stick failed to fall. It stood upright in its original position.
"There is a disturbance .." Klein said in a deep tone.
Interference implies that our assumptions are correct!
That woman earlier was most likely Tris the instigator, no, Trissy!
Upon seeing this, Dunn nodded without being seen.
"They live according to the reputation of the Demon Sect that has been active since the last Age …"
Because Tris had turned into Trissy, Dunn concluded that she was not part of the Theosophical Order, but the Demon Sect.
Looking around, Dunn sighed and said, "We can look for it through various means, such as where this clothes came from or the owner of this house. We can also ask the police department to patrol the train station and the dock."
We might be able to get some pointers like that, but Trissy must have had enough time to leave Tingen. I'll try it again over the gray fog when I get back home. Klein was cautious of people like Trissy who wanted to carry out a sudden massacre. He wanted to desperately find her and execute her on the spot.
"Leonard, go to the police department and gather a group to solve the problem here. Klein, you can go back and rest now.." Dunn rubbed her temple and stopped for a few seconds. He said to Klein, partly to test him and also to teach him. "How did you handle tonight's mission? Assume I, Leonard, and Frye are the only members on your team."
Klein furrowed his brows and thought for over ten seconds.
“i first used divination to ascertain whether the ritual would take effect soon. If the answer is negative, then I will still observe and not approach. Then I would tell the police department to deploy personnel around the area, as well as collect at least five cannons to bombard the entire building until wherever Trissy hid was leveled.
"He could be blown to death inside a building, or try to escape amid cannon fire. This will easily expose him. Until then, I'll put you and the others in different places…"
He was getting more excited as he continued. He felt that his idea was simple and effective, barbaric and resolute. It is very safe and very precise!
Dunn, Leonard, and Frye were stunned. They didn't say anything for a long time.
"Captain, isn't that a good idea?" Klein's excited heart was pounding as he saw that they had no reaction.
Dunn was silent for a few seconds before she said, "No, that's a good idea. But the premise is that we must ensure that the forcible destruction of the altar will not create a worse outcome. As the old Nighthawks, we were used to relying on ourselves, our strength as Beyonders, and weapons in all situations. We are not used to letting normal people come into contact with supernatural incidents.”.
Well, I have always been a big fan of gun bombardment.
…
Klein and Leonard walked to the train station about five hundred meters away before they saw him.
After waiting for a while, they returned to Iron Cross Street. One went to a nearby police station, while the other returned to Daffodil Road.
When Klein arrived at the front door, he adjusted his clothes and made sure everything was fine before taking out the key and opening the door.
Melissa and Benson were in the living room, calmly doing chores and reading their respective books under the light of a gas lamp.
Benson must have been tired after working hard all day; however, he persevered in his studies after he came home. What a persistent man.I couldn't do that, all I could think of now was lying down. Klein glanced at his brother and smiled, giving a silent greeting by raising his hand.
Benson smiled and said, "i now understand the price behind a good salary."
"There is a price for everything in this world. There's something we have to give before we can get anything in return" Klein said, leaving his wand on the shelf next to the door.
"That's apparently something that Emperor Roselle said, right?" Melissa stopped writing and looked up.
The Tingen Technical School was different from the university and the public school. There are only two weeks for summer holidays, from late July to early August. Their lessons are continued as the hottest days end.
"Is that so? I don't remember.." Klein replied, his expression a bit stiff.
He took off his hat and headed upstairs. He intends to find out Trissy's whereabouts as soon as possible.
Suddenly, he heard his stomach rumble. He felt a great hunger.
Oh yeah, I haven't had dinner yet. But the note I left said that the security company would provide food and ask them not to leave any food for me. Seriously, Captain, you completely forgot about it… Klein's expression changed several times as he intended to pretend to be full.
At that moment, Melissa turned around and looked at him. He pointed to the kitchen and said, "We left a small piece of lamb meat and a bowl of thick vegetable soup for you. There are some loaves of bread left as well."
After saying this, he buried his head back into his work and murmured to himself, "I feel the food provided by the work will not be too good, it might make people lose their appetite …"
