Chapter 16: The Battle

Yuto sighed softly within his inner being. "Dam. If it's like this, what can I do."

Quickly, Yuto pulled out his blood-soaked sword of the city gatekeeper from the scabbard. At the same time, Altz also pulled out his sword from the scabbard. The two thin iron blades that were as sharp as daggers were clashed together. Sparks of sparks were thrown, adorning the air.

"Me and my brother Gen are indeed the assassins of the two southern gatekeepers of the city" Yuto said with an expressionless face, while Altz only fell silent with a riled face while pushing the hilt of his sword.

Rick did not stay silent. He also pulled out his sword from the sheath and intended to attack Yuto impromptuly. However, the swing of his sword was immediately fended off by Gen.

"If you want to fight like a real man, one on one." Gen grinned as he continued to push the hilt of his sword.

"Fuck you, traitor!!!" Rick said with a huff while also pushing the handle of his sword.

Sparks of sparks were thrown from the two swords that were fighting. The sound of metal clashing filled the atmosphere. The living skulls that were standing guard did not remain silent. They pull out the sword sheathed on the back, preparing to help Altz and Rick.

After fighting the sword for a few seconds, the swords belonging to Altz and Rick were thrown. Quickly, Gen and Yuto swung their swords vertically until the two skeletal bodies split in two and immediately shattered into pieces once it hit the floor. The brothers looked back and found dozens of living skulls that were ready to fight. The living skulls looked wrathful at the death of their two comrades. A speck of bright red light that was inside their eye sockets now filled the eye sockets.

"Damn .... This did not go according to plan ...," Gen said in a soft voice, "but a fool with it!!"

Gen grinned widely while preparing to fight. Yuto also did his sword horses.

"LET'S GO AHEAD ALL OF YOU!!!" Gen exclaimed in a loud voice. The living skeletons immediately advanced with sword-stringing while calling out a battle cry.

Within seconds, the entire living skull was smashed into pieces. Their head skulls, arm bones, and leg bones separate from the skeleton. Gen smiled with satisfaction as he looked at the collapsed living skulls, while Yuto just stared at them while maintaining his flat face.

But apparently the battle is not over. Dozens of living skulls emerged from all over the doors connected to the room. The sounds of clashing bones, skull footsteps, and the whirring of the sword could be clearly heard.

"Don't move!!!" exclaimed one of the living skulls wearing black armor patterned purple and decorated by two pieces of bright red crystal embedded in the chest while brandishing his blood red large sword. Immediately, Gen and Yuto recognized the living skull. He was a partner of Altz and Rick, Commander of Delta.

"You ..!! New members brought in by Altz and Rick!! So you guys are intruders?!"

"Yes," Yuto said while maintaining his flat face. "You're Commander Delta, aren't you? Those two sickly fellows of yours I've removed."

Gen smiled disdainfully. "Yes, we killed those two flies, and their same colleagues disturbed him."

Delta's fist tightens. His teeth that were embedded directly in the jaw were grinding with annoyance. "Fucking kids!!! Finish them off slowly and painfully!!! Don't give me mercy!!!" delta exclaimed who was immediately greeted by battle cries from his subordinates. The living skeletons immediately advanced with the sword outstretched. Quickly, Gen and Yuto performed their sword horses and prepared to fight.

Throne Room, Fourth Floor of Magus Palace.

A black-armored man equipped with a brownish robe with a fiery red motif entered the throne room with formal steps. The man immediately headed for the throne, making the entire pair of eyes that were in the throne room pointed at him. There were four bright red crystals embedded in his chest.

Arriving before the throne, the man immediately flicked his robe and knelt on one leg, like a soldier who was paying his respects to his superior.

"What's up, General Vriltz?" The man on top of the throne opened the conversation while confirming the location of the magician's hat attached to his head. A magic circle and a dense black light surrounded him, showing clearly that he was not an indiscriminate man. There were six bright red crystals embedded in his chest.

"Report, Lord Magus. The intruders had defeated half of all the soldiers standing guard on the ground floor, and now the Delta Commander and his army were facing them. Reportedly, the Delta Commander was overwhelmed and half of his entire army had been killed. According to reports of soldiers running to the second floor of the palace, the intruders were only armed with swords and did not use their magic power at all" General Vritz said, raising his head.

"So ... strong are also they ...." The Magus God said as he fumbled his chin. "Come to the battle site with the additional troops from the second floor of the palace and help the Delta Commander forces."

"Okay, Great Magus God!!" The general spoke firmly before finally getting up and leaving the throne room.

"Hey, is it okay to send directly one of the generals like this, the Magus God?" ask a blue-haired turqoise man. The two sea-blue sliced eyes stared at the dark black iris of the Magus God. There were five bright red crystals embedded in the chest of his shirt. He was the right hand of the second Magical God, the Ice Magician of Immortality, Supreme General Zard.

"Just calm down, Zard," said the Magus God. "Whatever their swordsmanship is, they are still ordinary magicians. In fact, they may not even have magic powers. It would be very difficult for those intruders to kill a general."

"In a moment ... both intruders will meet their deaths ...."
