Chapter 12: Rainzar City Gate

"Show Magus Badge times-ugh!!!" Not yet had one of the guards finish his sentence, Gen had first done a foot sweep of the guard, then he immediately locked the body of the guard. The gatekeeper revolted, exerting all his strength, trying to escape the Gen lockdown.

Gen smiles with satisfaction. "My training all this time apparently not in vain," his mind.

"Bad!!!" The other guard was furious and immediately threw his spear at Gen. However, Yuto swiftly repelled the spear using his beloved sword.

"Fucking kid!!!" With a huffed tone, the guard ran towards Yuto, intending to fight using his bare hands.

The guard immediately gripped onto both arms of Yuto who was ready to swing his sword. He also locked onto Yuto's legs.

"Cih ... damn it!!!" Yuto cursed in his heart.

The gene that was locking onto the body of the other guards was only able to grit its teeth in annoyance. If he helps his sister, then the lockdown against the guard will be released.

Yuto kept trying hard, until he finally managed to release his leg lock. Quickly, the dark-black-haired youth swept the guard's feet, making him fall over. Quickly, Yuto slapped his sword to the side of the guard's head, sending his helmet loose.

"Now is the time!!!" yuto exclaimed as he slammed his sword into the forehead of the guard.

"Energy Barrier!!!" Quickly, the guard created a shield that protected his head from the stab of Yuto's sword.

Meanwhile, Yuto continues to tighten his grip on his beloved sword, pushing the sword with all his might until the barrier created by the guard is destroyed. Yuto's sword was stuck right in the guard's forehead, making him die instantly. Blood is pouring from the puncture wound.

The two golden eyes belonging to Gen widened instantly. However, as if ignoring her brother's eyes, Yuto approached the guard whose body was locked by Gen and cut off his head. Blood flowed profusely, drenching the stretch of cream-colored sand. With a flat face and looking innocent, Yuto sheathed back his sword covered in red blood.

"Yu-Yuto ...." Gen stared in disbelief. Mouth open. His eyes were still wide open, unable to believe what his sister had just done.

"Let's get into town." Yuto again ignored the eyes of the brother. Highlight his sinister sharp eyes had made his brother shudder in horror. The milky-white-skinned face looked flat, without the slightest hint of expression. The desert wind again blew hard, blowing the sand, adding to the tense atmosphere.

"Good." Gen stopped his gaze and rushed up, leaving behind a pair of blood-soaked bodyguards. This gate and the inner part of the city were separated by a long passageway, which is why no other soldiers within the city were aware of the event. Moreover, not a single soldier entered or exited this southern gate.

"Wait." Suddenly, Yuto turned around and approached the bodies of the two gatekeepers he had killed, then removed their Magus Badge and put one of them on his left chest. "This," he said while thrusting a jet black badge patterned with dark purple magic circle to Gen.

"Wait, Yuto. Are you planning to ...."

"Yes" said Yuto. "We're going undercover."
