We walked back up the stairs. I just realized I'm not exercising enough. My legs are getting numb, but there are still three floors left. I should be able to hold it. At least until we get the second keyword. After that, maybe I can persuade Nana to rest tonight and continue tomorrow morning.
“Finally, just pass one more ladder.” Arthur took a breath. After arriving at the twenty-fifth floor, Nana took out a holographic map card from her pocket. He looked at the card carefully to find the room where the second puzzle was located. Nana walked forward, without taking her eyes off the hologram card.
“Second place.” Nana muttered, stopping in front of one of the rooms. I looked up, looking at the room. There was a dimly lit light illuminating the room.
“What here is still electricity?” Layla looked at the room, confused.
“Of course! If not, where is it possible that a door on the first floor that weighs hundreds of tons can open only with a crack button at the foot of the door?” Arthur turned his face. He seemed to be watching something in the sky.
“What is this?” Layla pointed at the table in the room. On the table there are five glasses filled with liquid with different colors. Then, next to the drinks was a paper with a writing.
‘IF TRUE WILL GET STRENGTH AND IF WRONG MEANS DEATH’.
I was surprised to read it. Should we drink this drink?
“See! Looks like this is interesting!” Arthur grinned wide.
“Really! It will be very interesting if you take the wrong drink and die in this room.” Nana took out one glass of blue-colored liquid, gulped it down quickly. I watched Nana carefully. A few minutes passed, nothing happened to him.
“Nana, do you feel something strange about your body?” I asked worriedly.
“I feel like something's churning. Something was flowing very fast in my body. I think I picked the right glass.” Nana stared at the empty glass in her hand.
“HEEEH??!! Do you have super powers? What kind of power do you have? Do you feel like burning and want to spout fire from your mouth like a dragon?” Arthur asked enthusiastically.
“Not really.” Nana shakes.
“I'm next.” I stepped forward to approach the table.
“Remember! The first person gets eighty percent chance of living. Whereas the latter only has a twenty percent chance of living.” Nana looked at us seriously. I swallowed spit. That means I have sixty percent chance. I stared at the four-glass bosom that was in front of me.
“But I'm surprised, it's all like it's been prepared by someone. Lookie! How could these glasses be here? And how does he know we have four, so he provides five glasses like this?” Arthur stared at the glass full of question marks.
“I have my own assumptions about this.” Layla answered.
“You remember, no, when we were on the first floor, the hologram on the stone door asked us to put our names in it. Maybe he got the information from there.”
“And the question is who is he?” I shook my head.
“What is certain is that he is the one who set us up to break into this place.” Arthur looked at me annoyed.
“So you think that person has the power to control someone's mind from afar and lead us here and then control this place with us as his puppet?” Nana looked at Arthur, asking for an explanation.
“If after drinking that liquid you really have the power, such a thing is not impossible. Do you have any other explanation as to why we could be led to this place? Is there some kind of subtle creature that wants to prey on us?” Arthur grumbling. Her face
“Not a subtle creature, but a monster we met on the tenth floor.” Layla.
“I don't want you guys discussing this any further which will just be a waste of our time.” I stared at them cold. They act like children. Even Nana was following along.
I turned my eyes back to the table. Four glasses left. I have to choose one of them. What does this glass have to do with our puzzle anyway? If we really did gain power, what good would that be?
“I think I'll drink this yellow one.” I murmured, gulping down the liquid. It feels sticky and thick. Makes me want to spit it out. What an uncomfortable feeling. I forcefully swallowed the liquid. After that my heart suddenly beat faster. Something was flowing in my body. This sensation makes me a little dizzy.
“Lina?” Layla fixed her glasses. I looked, smiling. After which, Layla took out a silver-colored glass, gulping it down slowly. Sometimes he stopped, then sipped again.
“I thought I'd die.” Layla breathed a sigh of relief.
“OK! Now the last one, it's my turn. Only remaining black liquid and clear liquid that looks like water.” Artur fixed the two glasses. Then, he took out a glass with a black-colored liquid. Arthur gulped it down quickly and took out the word ah after he drank it. After a while, Arthur's body fell to the floor of the room. My breath was wheezing, coughing. I immediately ran towards him.
“Arthur! Ars! ARS!! The vow! If you're just kidding, I throw it out of the.” window I slapped Arthur in the face.
“Arthur, this is no time to joke. You know for yourself the last person only has twenty percent chance. If you don't wake up too, we'll leave you here. We do not want to carry a corpse that will only be a burden.” Nana glanced at me who was holding Arthur's head.
Arthur sat down. For a moment I was surprised by his sudden move.
“Aarrgghh! It doesn't taste very good. It's like drinking shit. That's very disgusting.” Artur scratched his head, grinning wide. I spontaneously hit Arthur in the head with a fist, snorting. He really pisses me off. He could be in a situation like this.
“Lah? Still alive? Though it is better if you just insoi.” Nana raised her next to her eyebrows. Arthur smiled.
“Who will take care of you if I'm not around?” Arthur stands.
“Heeh?”
The room suddenly changed. From what was once empty, it is now a room full of things that I do not know.
"What's going on?" Layla raised her confused gaze.
"This place is really very strange." Arthur stared as he found his surroundings changed by one hundred and eight degrees.
"Do you think we're doing something wrong?"
"Eitherway. I mean, I have a bad feeling about this." I exhaled a heavy breath. Right now, I feel an unfamiliar pressure, but it also feels familiar.
"Don't think too far. For now, just follow the progress of the game. Stay alert and don't lower your guard!"
"Well!"
