The Hidden World's
Eps.19 New Goals

Yamato pressed the lever that appeared after the keyword was entered. Then the floor shook violently like it was about to collapse.

"Prepare yourself. We're gonna fall."

"What?! Falling?" Not yet finished my confusion, the floor below us was already split into pieces. Then each of them moved away from each other.

I tried to jump away from the crack, but it turned out I was too late. The crack below us was already fully exposed, making our bodies plunge freely downwards. We shouted, including Arthur. He could scream like that too.

Yamato stuffed his hand into the pocket of his pants. He jumped so gracefully. The eagle perched on Yamato's shoulder remained in place as if he did not feel the pressure from the air during freefall.

About fifteen minutes passed. We still haven't seen the basics. My head was dizzy from now on. Even Layla had fainted a few times. Arthur couldn't last long either. I caught him wanting to vomit a few times, but swallowed him back. Seeing that of course I feel disgusted, but I still understand.

Twenty-five minutes. We saw the light shining from below. Is that the basis? A few seconds later we suddenly landed on top of something soft. Our bodies are bouncing. A glare light burst into my retina. I narrowed my eyes, still familiarizing my eyes with the incoming light. I vaguely saw an amazing sight.

I don't know what to call this place. Maybe it's a duplicate of heaven? There are many creatures that look like animals, but different from what I've seen. Their size is also much larger. Perhaps for a giant race the size of these animals would feel the same as in the human world. But is there really a giant in this world?

The plants that grow in this place also have an unnatural size. It's like we're in a giant area. From a distance, I saw a large tree floating. Its roots are like wrapped around a bright blue keristal. The color of the keristal is glowing. Not too glare, but pretty charming.

"Are we in a fantasy world?" Layla crawled up to me.

"Nothing is normal in this place–hei, Arthur! Don't throw up here!" Nana pounded Arthur's coconut, knocking him down. I think Arthur's out of steam.

"Well!!! I'm finally back. It's been a long time, yeah!" Yamato stretched his body, walking ahead of us.

"Welcome to the Abyss and welcome to my hometown." Yamato turned around, smiling towards us.

"It's beautiful, right? Although it looks beautiful, this place is still as the name 'Abyss'. There won't be any 'beauty' you find here." Yamato jumped down, landing gracefully. Something you are currently sitting on looks like a giant air bubble. This place is amazing.

I don't know what he meant, but I chose to remain silent without asking anything. We jumped down, following Yamato who was already at the bottom.

"Wait on! I need a little break." Arthur exclaimed in his hoarse voice. Now he was completely different from a few tens of minutes ago. He looks like a malnourished person and doesn't eat for days. The black circles in his eyes further added to the impression of a 'dagger' on him.

"What try? The one who entered the room of thirty was even covered because of this?" Layla sneers.

"This has nothing to do with it. The huweek! You're not nauseous, are you? You just fainted so many times!" Arthur tried to stand up, supporting his body despite staggering. Layla snorted at Arthur's words.

Arthur walks slowly toward him, trying to prop up Arthur. Our height is only ten inches, but our weight is different up to 20kg. He trains his muscles, it is only fitting that his weight is heavier than those who have the same height as him.

"Aah~My skin! You are the one who understands ak–huweeek the most!!!" Arthur regurgitated the clear liquid. I was nauseous to see it, spontaneously pushing Arthur away.

"Say first if you want to vomit!" I'm yelling. My eyes are glazed with nausea. Could he have shot near me like that?

"Sorry!"

"Just go it alone!" I snorted, went jumping after the others. Arthur was still up there and still looked nauseous.

"You better not leave him alone. It could be a minute later he's gone." Yamato turned his head, looking at us who were walking after him.

"Chira, go help her." Yamato stroked the eagle that had been lodged in his shoulder. The bird flew away, soaring into the air. A moment later, a dazzling light appeared.

"I forgot to introduce him, huh? She is Chira, the spiritual bird I keep."

"Spiritual bamboo? You mean he's not an ordinary bird?"

"But you didn't say that the bird was a spiritual bird and he was your pet."

"Then I said I forgot to introduce him, right?"

"Hmmm.." I stiffened my jaw, feeling annoyed. I don't know why the more days Yamato's attitude is getting annoying.

I looked up, looking back at the eagle that was in the air. Now he has changed shape. Is he transformed?

"Spiritual blooms, huh?" Mumamku.

I don't know what a spiritual bird is. Do they have spiritual power? Or are they just spiritual fragments?

The size of the bird was many times larger than before. His height even exceeded Yamato's height. Chira floated, her feet just above Arthur's head. Chira's flapping wings are capable of creating winds that can blow away our clothes.

"Do all spiritual beings have this size?"

"No, maybe it's not the actual size. Could it be that he has the power to enlarge the body?"

Nana and Layla went back to discussing things I didn't understand. What were they talking about earlier? While watching, Chira slowly grabs Arthur's body with her legs. He slightly stuck a claw on Arthur's shoulder, making his shoulder bleed slightly. But the thing is, Arthur doesn't grimace in pain. Was he so drunk that he didn't feel any pain?

Chira carries Arthur's body, landing his body slowly not far from us. Yamato walked up to him, stroking Chira's large chest.

"Good boy!" After smiling faintly, Yamato walked to Chira's side, climbing up Chira's already outstretched wings, as if hinting to ride her.

"You too quickly ascend. We're gonna go ride the Chira. Don't forget to pick him up!" Yamato shouted from above. Now he's sitting on Chira's neck. Seeing her current stature, somehow made me feel like I wanted to get to know her better.

"Hey, don't just sting there! You heard what I said. Hurry on! Or the gate will be closed."

The gates? Are we going somewhere as vast as a palace? Who's gonna pick up Arthur? He thinks Arthur's still a toddler to pick up? I turned towards Arthur, watching him closely. Well, at least his condition is much better than before.

"You don't have to help me. I can bi-can be alone." With a breath of breath, Arthur looked a little hard to stand up.

"Yes, good then!" Layla grunts, casting her face. Even though Arthur said that, I knew Arthur was actually hoping that someone would help him walk. Even though he could stand right now but to be honest, he could not walk. Let alone to step, moving his legs he still could not. Is this the Arthur I know? The monster I saw inside the building back then, what was the same creature that was before me at the moment?

I sighed, slowly. I walked over to Arthur, wrapped his left arm around my neck.

"Hurry up, I'll help you."

"Thank you, Lina."

"But it's not free!"

Arthur chuckled softly at that. I don't know if it's just me or not, but I feel like Arthur has changed a lot. It hasn't been half a month, but he's already shown a change.

"Aaah~ I know Lina will definitely help this poor prince."

Well, he's changed. I mean, turning into a guy that's getting annoying.
