The Hidden World's

The Hidden World's
Chapter 11 Meeting Aryek

I ran down the hallway of the building. Breath hunting. My energy is almost at its limit. I'm not strong anymore if I have to run longer. If only I could master the teleportation technique, I would easily be able to switch places.

The four of us got separated. This time it was worse. If we had previously separated into two groups, this time we were separated into four. We can only rely on individual strength to be able to survive the attacks of those monsters. Though some time ago we were still discussing about each other's strengths, but now it feels useless.

I entered one of the rooms, breathing. I don't know if I'm lucky or not. The monster that was chasing me was one of the two demons Liebe said to be. But luckily, the monster was walking very slowly. I don't think he can run. Plus, he didn't launch any attacks on me.

“What else is okay? If Aryek had come out, then the other muster, Arf-ak, would have come out of that tube. When viewed from his much smaller body shape, surely he was also much more agile. I hope the monster hasn't faced off with any of them.” I muttered slowly.

The sound of my breathing is still roaring. I could feel some monsters approaching. Just as I could sense their existence, they could also sense my existence. Damnit damnit! My energy has not fully recovered.

I stood up, put up the horses. They're getting closer. It's one, two, eleven, no! Perhaps they numbered around fifteen monsters. A very terrible number. Isn't the number of all monsters twenty? Why are there up to fifteen monsters around here? I breathe heavily.

“Alright, there is no point in complaining. Before they get here, I'll teleport. This was indeed risky, but it was impossible to deal with such a large amount of monsters. Moreover, Aryek is also around here.” I growl.

This time I was almost desperate. I took a deep breath, exhaled it. I closed my eyes. My body energy came out, condensing the energies around me. I hope they won't make it in ten seconds. Plop! The energy that was condensing around me suddenly erupted.

“AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!” I roared.

“Sial! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! SIAAAL!!!” I bit my lower lip. I ran out of energy at the last minute. Now I can't shake my power. I'm really helpless.

The existence of these monsters is getting closer. But somehow, their number of existences was decreasing. Although their numbers are decreasing, the existence of Aryek is still approaching. Did the demon fight with the other monsters? Alright, since his path is very slow and he is also rampaging out there, I will utilize this martial will to recover my energy. Liebe also taught me how to recover energy faster than usual, given my energy-draining teleportation technique.

I sat cross-legged on the floor of the room, closed my eyes, emptied my mind. The way to gather energy faster is to force the energy around me through the head and drain it throughout the body. Liebe could do it without having to meditate like me. Meditation has its own risks. As I was forcing energy into my body, I could not feel the air around me. If there was a mustard approaching, I wouldn't be able to notice it. This is indeed a risk that is too great to be taken under these circumstances. But, I have no other choice. I have to take that risk or I will lose without trying.

Time passed by almost five minutes. I opened my eyes, breathing. Five minutes is enough for me to use my power and one teleportation. Deg!! I'm speechless. I felt the air of Aryek's existence right behind me. Cold sweat started to come out. I went back to breathing, trying to stay calm and in control. Liebe always told me to stay calm in any situation. Panic will only close the door to the exit.

I stood up slowly, daring to turn my head and look at Aryek who was now watching me.

'Who are you? You are not a resident of this world. Did you break through the barrier?'

I went back to silence. There was a voice echoing in my head. Whatisthis? Whose voice is this? Is this a memory?

The voice reverberated, making me feel a little depressed.

'Are you the one that that person predicted ten years ago?'

That guy? Wh who?

'I'll help you. Turn around, I'm right behind you.'

Being behind me? But right now I can only feel Aryek who is there, there is no other existence. Can't I feel its existence? Is his level far above mine? Is he stronger than Liebe? Or maybe the voice that reverberated inside my head was the voice of Aryek himself?

I took a deep breath, turned around. Sure enough, there was only Aryek there sitting in the doorway.

“What are you talking to me about?” I put up the horses, prepare if suddenly Aryek attacks me. He slightly raised his head. Our eyes meet.

'Can you hear my voice?'

He stood up, walked over to me.

“If I can hear your voice, then why?” I shuffled back, keeping my distance from Aryek who was getting closer to me.

'Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. The fact that you can hear my voice alone makes me feel better.'

He sat back in the middle of the room. Her eyes were so much that they looked very shady as she looked at me.

“What makes you happy?”

'Because now I have a friend to talk to. As you can see, I have no nose or mouth. My whole face has only eyes. I always wanted to talk to other people. But, when people come into this building and meet me, they always yell call me a monster and run away. I tried to chase them, but I couldn't do it. I can't even explain my situation to them considering I don't have a mouth.'

“There are people who get into a building like this?”

'Decades ago this place was a place of entertainment. Every ten floors there is a different entertainment. Floors one through ten are entertainment in the form of games and hide and seek with the hunters.'

The voice stopped for a moment. The voice that echoed in my head did make me a little depressed, but when she started telling me, I somehow felt she was trying to convey something to me.

I don't know what the monster in front of me really wants to say. I also don't know what kind of past happened in this place. There was no other choice but to listen to the story.
