Eps.28 Artifacts

I cursed Arthur in my heart. I just realized that he deliberately made this kind of situation happen. It turns out that I thought Arthur had changed was wrong. The fact that he remained the same person, was even more annoying than usual.

"Lina's right. It's not what you think. We just went through the night together." Arthur smiled with his innocent look. I really want to pin that head off. It was possible that he would lightly say something that could easily ignite a misunderstanding.

"We did go through the night. But it means just passing the night together. I mean we didn't do anything. Really!"

"So what do you do when you 'go through the night together' if you don't do anything?" Seli looked at me probing.

"Seli, aren't we disrespectful if we continue to interfere with the relationship of the person who just intertwined last night?" Mery whispered flirtatiously. Even though I said it was a whisper, but I can still clearly hear it.

"It turns out you've arrived."

Yamato walked towards me followed by the others behind him. Just this time I felt so grateful that they came at the right time. Mery and Seli's faces turned sour when they saw Yamato's nostrils.

"All right, we'll start training right away. I've prepared an artifact that I think will be suitable for your powers." Yamato slowly lowered the large cardboard he was carrying. Inside were many different types of artifacts that we could use. But I wonder, how does Yamato know our strength?

"Lina and Arthur, I don't know all your strength yet because you didn't take part in the training. So I picked out a temporary artifact that you could wear. We'll pick a new artifact tomorrow." Yamato started handing out the artifacts that were inside the cardboard.

They were training before we came. It was my fault that I woke up late until Arthur didn't train before. Yamato gave the artifact a simple necklace without a pendant and a pair of white gloves. Without thinking anymore I directly put on the artifact. There is no different feeling. I felt nothing after wearing it.

I looked at Arthur who was not far from me. He got something like an iron rod that looked already somewhat rusty. Arthur's face turned sour when he found out he had obtained an "uncool" artifact according to his taste.

"Now we test each other's artifacts. I'll give you an explanation before you start. Harry, go!" Yamato nodded his head, gesturing for Harry to immediately do as he commanded.

Harry received a bright light blue bracelet artifact that stuck perfectly to his right wrist. As Harry raised his right hand, the bracelet shattered into small pieces. Then quickly the pieces turned into a long sword that seemed to fit Harry.

Harry swung the sword vertically, making something that looked like an ice stalagmite extend until it touched the wall along with a strong gust of wind. Even the roof over Harry also formed small stalactites.

"Well!!" I look at him. Although Harry's sword swing still looked very stiff, but the attack he launched was extraordinary. If the first experiment was this great, what would happen if Harry managed to master and adapt to the artifact completely? Ughhhh! Just imagining it makes me so excited.

"When Harry got a really cool artifact. Why would I even get a trash artifact like this?" Arthur sneered as he looked at the stick that was now in his grasp.

"Good!"

The sound of applause was floating on the ceiling of the room. What an amazing show! The sword Harry held back into its original form became a bracelet.

"Next, Seli."

"I had high hopes for the artifact. Just for information, the ring was originally the beloved magic ring of Lord Ifrit, the ruler of the demon region. We managed to seize this artifact during the war three years ago. I hope you can bring out his true strength." Yamato sighed.

Seli wears a gold ring with a bright red stone. Seli stood up straight, catch his breath. Slowly his two hands moved around, breaking into a circle of fire. When the circle had formed perfectly, the red stone in Seli's ring lit up, making the circle of fire that Seli made even bigger. Then the circle let out a very powerful burst of fire. What an incredible power. I think Seli can flatten this city with just a few attacks.

"Although not as expected, but good work. You can master the power of the great-granddaughter even if it is only about ten percent." Yamato gave an applause. We were surprised by Yamato's statement. Such strength is only ten percent? What would it be like to be able to use one hundred percent of the ring's power?

"You don't need to be surprised. Even though Seli can master the power of that great-granddaughter to the fullest extent, I am still not sure that she can defeat Lord Ifrit. He is the Demon King who is cooperating with our current emperor. So, it's very likely that we'll be dealing with him. He's a very strong and dangerous opponent." Yamato looked at. Maybe he's remembering what happened three years ago.

"Okay, Seli is enough! Next Liya. Previously you couldn't control more than one element at the same time, right? The artifact will help you so that you can control two elements at once."

Liya nodded in understanding with Yamato's explanation. He walked towards Seli, giving her a tos. Liya obtained a pair of earrings artifact. But each of those earrings has a different shape. Liya got ready, put up the horses. Liya raised both her hands and at the same time her two earrings shone. One of them gave off a deep blue light and the other one gave off a bright yellow light.

We narrowed our eyes due to the glare with the light that the artifact gave off. A few moments later the light faded. Simultaneously, in front of Liya right now there was already an enormous water ball. That part of the ball's surface gives off electric sparks or lightning, huh? I don't know for sure.

"Yamato, how can we focus on fighting if the artifact gives off a bright light like this?!" I looked at Yamato questioningly.

It was true that the power of the artifact was extremely extraordinary. But if every artifact activates there must be a light as bright as that, then the artifact cannot be used in the battlefield.

"Just calm. The light only comes out when you first wear it. It is like adjusting to the user. After this won't be a problem." Yamato smiled widely as he looked at Liya in front there. The water balls that Liya made were getting bigger, even those that had only been electric sparks, now there were even lightning balls surrounding the water surface.

After Liya showed us a little "attraction", Yamato praised her bluntly. After that we took turns. Arthur walked with a cane in his hand. The artifact works so that Arthur can maintain his human body shape but with a power that is almost twice as large as before.

Nana gets a silver bracelet artifact decorated with beads. The bracelet makes Nana can use black holes with longer time curine. Then Layla gets an ankle artifact that increases the likelihood of her creation magic success.

Mery didn't get an artifact for attack power, but he did get a green stone that helped him master the healing technique well. Although some people think healing techniques are not needed in battle, actually this technique is needed as one of the victory percentage measures.

Percy is the only person who got the artifact, but feels like he didn't get it. The artifact he had was a pair of glasses that could completely eliminate his existence as he activated his magic technique. Considering Percy does wear glasses, so it would be like he didn't get any artifacts.

"Alright, we'll train separately for the next three months. It's up to you to train anywhere, even outside the Abyss, no problem. Provided avoid the Demon King region and do not approach the territory of the Scientists. See you when you've become stronger!"
