The Hidden World's
Chapter 10 The Game Begins

My wrist started to turn red. It hurts so much. But I have no energy to complain. Now we are being chased by three terrible monsters. They look very bloodthirsty. It's like we haven't eaten in years.

Layla pulled me into a room located around the fifty floor. We had entered the room on the forty-fifth floor to find the final piece of the puzzle and admired it. But, it's not that easy. Inside the room was already a monster waiting for our arrival. It was the first monster we encountered.

Layla and I spontaneously shouted. Our shout managed to invite another monster to come. Without a second thought, Layla immediately pulled my hand, running as fast as possible to get away from the three monters. But the monster was much faster than us. They caught up with us with just one jump. Layla took something under her shirt. It turned into a spear. Layla throws it right over one of those monter eyes.

The screams sounded very loud. The monster was in pain. A few moments later, he did not move anymore. Is he dead? Layla prepared the weapon and stuck the spear right at the monster's weak point. Layla seemed to know where their weak point was.

As the saying goes, one grows a thousand. We managed to conquer one monster, but the other monsters came. The game has started. Layla and I continued to run up the stairs, towards the next floor. We ran as hard as we could, but those monter-monsters could easily catch up to us. I pulled Layla's hand, entered a room.

“What do you do?” Layla brushed my hand.

“Be quiet!” I shut Layla's mouth. He came back to stop it.

“You have a plan?”

“Of course!” I close my body behind the wall. The Monters chasing us passed the room we were in just like that. I exhaled a sigh of relief after their torso was no longer visible.

“Now what's your plan?” Layla looked at me. I slightly shrieked at that look.

“Is this building map on you?” I scrunched my forehead. Layla nodded, taking the tool out of her pocket. The hologarm card shows a map of the building and the place where Arthur and Nana are.

“See!" I pointed at the two green dots that were on the fifty floor.

"Hell is on the fiftyth floor. I can teleport there.”

“Really?” Layla looked at me a little in disbelief. I'm nodding.

“There are some conditions that must be met in order to teleport. One of them is the receiving point.”

“Means?”

“I must mark a place as the point where the teleportation receiver. In other words, where we landed. Because I haven't marked any places in this building yet, so I can only teleport by following their energy.” I walked out of the room, looking to the right and left. Safe.

“What's up?” Layla looked at me while putting the hologram card into her pocket.

“My teleportation technique is still not perfect. It took ten seconds to gather energy before teleporting. During those ten seconds, I will be emitting great energy. That energy might be able to invite the arrival of monsters that were near here. So, I have to check things out around us. Looks like safe.” I walked into the middle of the room, covered in darkness. Layla follows me.

“Oh, One more. For now, I can only use this technique three times. After that I will run out of energy and cannot use my power.”

“Slightly troublesome technique.” Layla was standing next to me.

“I can't deny it. But, after I successfully perfected this technique, I can use it as I please.” I laugh.

We're holding hands. I closed my eyes, concentrating on connecting my energy with Arthur. Only his energy could be reached, considering he entered in the room of thirty. I don't wonder why his energy could be this big.

The energy around me began to compress. In a split second, Layla and I teleported. We felt shaken for a few seconds until the shaking stopped. I opened my eyes, then found Nana and Arthur who were staring at us with confused faces and surprised.

“Lina? Layla?” Arthur tilted his head. Layla and I walked closer.

“You teleported?” Arthur looked at us enthusiastically. His eyes shone like a child who was amazed to see something. I nodded slowly.

“We have no time to serve your childish nature, Arthur.” Layla shakes.

“Come! Isn't that a cool technique?” Arthur bent his body.

“Game has started.” Layla stared coldly. Arthur straightened the body. The look on his face changed by one hundred and eighty degrees.

“It started?” Nana frowned. Layla and I nodded.

“There is no time to play around anymore.” Arthur nodded his head. For the sake of seeing his behavior, Layla immediately grabbed Arthur's head. Considering Arthur was the tallest, the punch landed on his cheek. Arthur fell. It must have been a blow as hard as it could. I grimaced to see it.

We sat cross-legged on the floor, looking closely at the hologram map while putting together a plan.

“There are about twenty monsters. Look at these red dots. The magnitude is not the same. I think the bigger the red dot, the stronger the monster.” Nana pushed her glasses that were on the tip of her nose.

“But what is this? There's a green dot on the first floor. We're only four of us here, right? Is there anyone else besides us in this building?” Layla pointed to a small green dot on the first floor. That point is smaller than our own.

“Is there a weak creature in a dangerous place like this?” I looked at Layla questioningly.

“It's possible. If we pay attention, there are no monsters there. Though there are five monsters on the second floor.” Arthur looked at the hologram map seriously.

“Terus?”

“Any only. It was impossible if none of the five monsters on the second floor did not descend to the first floor.”

“What's weird about that?” I nodded, disagreeing with Arthur.

“Of course weird.”

“It's not strange, Allen!” Layla looked at Arthur sharply. Arthur looked back at Layla with a look of annoyance. He did not like being called Allen, because it was named after his father. I don't know what happened to Arthur, but to my knowledge he didn't like his father very much.

“When we first set foot in this place, I'm sure you also felt the great pressure that was on the first floor.” Layla folds her hands. If you remember, I do feel the pressure on the first floor is indeed very large, to the point of making me short of breath.

“At that time we did not have the strength. We don't even know about energy. Then why can we feel it? Because the energy in that place was extremely powerful. Until no monster dared to go in there. There's nothing strange about that.” Layla shrugged her shoulders. Arthur turned his face.

“Then who was there?”

“Entailah, who knows? We'll only know if we meet him.”

“Wait! Do you remember the two monsters that were in that tube? You remember what floor it was on?” I looked at them seriously.

“Then there is no one wrong on the tenth floor.” Nana looked at me doubtfully.

“Accurate once. But, look!” I pointed at the tenth floor on the hologram map.

“Not a single red dot on the tenth floor. That means, they are undetectable.” I looked seriously.

“If it is indeed true, then we must be extra careful.” Layla's face began to pale.

“We must exchange information about our strength so that we can form a perfect formation."
