The atmosphere is crowded in the palace. Today is a big day for all the Abyss residents. There are a wide variety of dishes served on a long table. The chairs are neatly arranged with sparkling trinkets exposed to the reflection of light lights.
Yamato was standing in front of the gate dressed in royal formal attire. He was given the confidence to address security issues during the event. There were many important Abyss figures who appeared showing their faces in front of many invited guests.
"See this! my old friend, Joan!"King Yasan hugged someone who was currently appearing before him.
King Yasan was a 13th generation king who ruled and became ruler in the Abyss. Even the Emperor himself liked King Yasan as well. He was known as a wise and friendly king. During his reign the people always prospered and avoided major conflicts in politics. King Yasan is the real form of love of his people.
"Well, whoa. Today you also look very dignified, Yasan!" King Joan laughed while hugging.
King Joan was the king of the Traode kingdom not far from the Abyss. These two kingdoms were under the same Empire. They have known each other since they were crown princes. To this day, the relationship they have built has improved.
Amidst the conversation of the two kings, Yamato suddenly came to interject between them. His facial expression always looked the same, flat and cold. King Yasan had asked him several times to learn to smile. Because of her cold face were many girls who only admired her from afar and did not dare to approach. Unfortunately the expression he was showing at the moment was colder than usual .
"Your Majesty, I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation. There was a person dressed in all black who claimed to be an invited guest. When I asked him to show me the invitation card, he said it fell on the way." Yamato briefly explained the bowing of the body as a symbol that he respected the King.
The cheerful face of King Yasan slightly faded. A vague sense of anxiety was visible from his expression. Not long after, a woman who looked to be around fifty years old came over. She was wearing her favorite bright red dress with long unraveled hair.
"What's wrong? Why does your face look so serious on a happy day like now?" The woman gently patted King Yasan's shoulder with a knotty smile.
"There's a suspicious person in front of the palace. I'm afraid he didn't come with good intentions." King Yasan sighed softly. His forehead began to pucker, a sign that he was thinking hard.
"Did he bring an invitation card?" The woman turned her eyes to Yamato, looking at him who was in a hunching position.
Yamato quickly shook his head.
"No, Your Highness Zygia. The guy said that he dropped it on the way."
But did anyone dare to come to this place when the palace guard was tighter than usual? Plus, there were many important figures present. Surely each of them brought the strongest bodyguards. What was even more surprising was that person had only come alone?
After nearly five minutes of Queen Zygia weighing up the decision, she finally decided to meet the person. He wanted to ascertain for himself what this suspicious 'guest' looked like. Yamato disagreed with Queen Zygia's decision, but insisted on meeting in person. As a result Yamato agreed to the Queen's request and drove her to meet the man.
During the journey towards the palace gate, Yamato's hand was already preparing on the sword hilt. He's driving a queen, so don't let your guard down. Moreover, Queen Zygia was a figure who played a big role in the development in the Abyss Kingdom.
Upon arriving at the palace garden, from a distance Queen Zygia had already seen the figure of that person in the darkness. Queen Zygia did feel something strange, but she still steadied the intention to meet and speak directly.
Yamato kept walking in front, leading the Queen as well as protecting her if only the person currently in front of him launched an attack. But the figure remained standing in its place without moving a single bit. Like a statue that just pecked.
The figure was indeed still in the same place, but somehow seeing it not move made Yamato's instinct sense of danger approaching.
Sure enough, a dagger slid swiftly towards Queen Zygia. Yamato swiftly brandished his sword, repelling the dagger with the blade of the sword. Not yet had Yamato digested the situation, dagger attacks continuously attacked him from all directions. It should be that the clash between the blade of the sword and the daggers was capable of making quite a loud sound. Five minutes passed, and no one came to help.
"What exactly is going on?!" Yamato wiped the blood on his cheeks. Yamato's cheeks were scratched by the tip of the dagger that he had no time to stalk. But right now that's not what he's worried about. Queen Zygia was in the middle of a dagger rain attack.
Such a situation cannot continue for longer. The longer this state passed, the more Yamato would be harmed. He did not know the number of enemies and where they were.
"Ukh!" Yamato grimaced in pain. One dagger managed to land on his left shoulder. Although it did not penetrate, but still the pain he felt was extraordinary.
"Did they infiltrate me when I wasn't on my guard?" Yamato circulated his gaze while trying to remove the dagger stuck on the shoulder.
"Your Majesty, please return to the palace hall. I'll handle the situation here. Your Majesty must remain safe!" Yamato exclaimed with a slight raise of voice. Although he knew his voice sounded like he was yelling, there was no other choice. Queen Zygia is a stubborn person. He would not listen to Yamato just like that.
"Do you want me to leave you? Do you think it's a commendable act?" Queen Zygia frowned. Yamato knew that Queen Zygia's answer would be like this, so he had already prepared words to silence the Queen.
"Your Majesty, the Abyss still needs you. Are you not thinking of the thousands of people who will live without leaders in the future? You are the one who understands the situation of the Kingdom the most these days compared to anyone. Please don't be stubborn. If I do not succeed in saving you, then this will be a sin that I will have to bear for life." Yamato tried to smile with a face full of wounds.
"Auntie, don't mind me. I'm sure you want the same thing as me." Yamato's hoarse voice was like muffling the boisterous sound in the palace garden at this time. Although heavy-hearted, Queen Zygia finally went towards the palace hall, leaving Yamato with thousands of daggers that led to him.
