False Hope

"Why your arm?"

Andi was grimacing suspiciously at Varest who was massaging his right arm, Varest who was cleaning the desk was seen grimacing occasionally when the pain in his arm suddenly recurred.

Varest still did not answer Andi's question, Papa Zee was still deftly able to finish his work immediately because his sick stomach held hunger. The piling up work forced him to postpone his lunch until 3pm.

"You didn't get hit with Rea, did you?" Asked Andi curious, the article last night Varest had time to update it if their plan had made the friend bothered because of the emotions of Rea who went up and down.

"Well, he tortured me till morning, to the point that my whole body ached." Varest said, twisting his shoulders.

"She didn't let me move in the slightest, even to pull it away she didn't want to" Varest said, again, making Andi's brain think of nothing.

"What's being pulled?" Andi's mind shuddered

In fact, that's not what happened, because Varest had to give up his sleep is not quality just to calm a strange wife all night.

Varest again pulled Rea who began sulking into his arms, the woman who had been his wife for less than half a year was still continuing to nag for whatever reason, the wife said if she was not angry, she said, she's not crying. However, his behavior was inversely proportional to what he said.

It all started only because Varest was spoken to by mothers at Zee school which caused Rea's mood to be disturbed and finally had an impact with Varest. Actually there is wisdom behind the incident, how Rea who has not been reluctant to show his true feelings. She likes it when Rea is spoiled which is a rare thing during her marriage.

However, Rea's current behavior is so different from usual that Varest thinks that Rea's true soul is being rough and does not know the way home to return to the wife's body.

"Rest.." Call Rea answered muttered by Varest.

Rea looked up, "Kok mmm anyway?" Protestations

Varest looked down and saw Rea's clear eyes staring at him wryly, Ah, he knows what's next, "Honey, what's up. Hmm?" Varest asked as he gave a glimpse of Rea's head which made the woman blush.

Oh, dearGod. Varest couldn't see Rea's blushing face reflected off the cupboard mirror. Wanting to feel he brought Rea to immediately struggle, the situation was quite supportive how outside was drizzling and the son who stayed at his parents' house.

"Re, you're no longer a monthly guest coming, are you?" Ask Varest to make sure,

He only realized this change in Rea's attitude was the same as the mother had said when Varest had been silenced by Rea for almost half a day and always nagged when disturbed by Zee, and it turns out that it happened when the wife was coming guests. Mama Nimas said if a woman usually has less stable emotions when in a menstrual state and the role as a husband must really understand it.

Rea shook his head, his eyes closed while hiding his face into Varest's chest which made the owner gurgle inappropriately, his heart pumping faster as Rea returned his embrace tightly. Varest smiled meaningfully.

With his salivation hard, Varest stood up and lifted Rea up to lay him on the bed after he lay down beside him, the universe is on his side now. the more calm Varest when Rea is silent and accepts how the hands of Varest who has guerrilla everywhere.

"What's wrong?" Varest asked but still let his hand be pulled by Rea

"Hmm, I want to sleep here" Rea replied as she pointed at Varest's arm

"Sleep?" Varest gawked in disbelief, his little sister immediately limp uninspired after being given false hope. "Re, we can go to sleep after that" his sudden complaint received a heartbreaking look from the wife.

"I'm tired, I'm sleepy, we can do it tomorrow" Rea persuaded in a finely made voice.

Varest sighed resignedly, there is no way he forced his wife to do it in a tired state, is not it?

"All right, let's go to bed" Varest said at last.

Rea smiled as she brought her innocent body closer to Varest, her head looking for a comfortable position in the arms of her husband and stopped right in the upper arms close to Varest's armpits, which Varest instead chuckled with amusement. The thing Rea never did with her own initiative was hug her husband possessively.

Varest is confused by Rea's last words before she falls asleep, "I love your smell, Rest"

Varest smiled and tightened his arms, "Patience well my junior, let your opponent rest first, tomorrow we just beat up" He said, chuckling at his own mind.

And so Varest's position all night before dawn, Varest is not allowed to pull his hand because Rea will wake up and get angry if he feels his sleeping position is changed, fortunately Rea still remembers her promise if she will give the right to her husband after waking up.

Flashback Off

Andi rotated his eyes lazy, a sense of regret he suddenly felt because his question earlier that even provoked his best friend told him something that made him bristle himself. Really too, he thought.

"I'm hungry" Andi quickly moved from his seat to go out first from the Varest room because he could not stand the story of Papa Zee.

Varest who saw it could only laugh mocking Andi, actually the man was very concerned about what his best friend was going through, about her Papa who was still diligently looking for a companion but none of which she could accept.

Varest chased after Andi who had already descended from the second floor, and suddenly stopped when he saw Andi standing still watching someone sitting on one of the cafe chairs at the other end near the entrance. Andin with a man who looks very close because of the smile that is growing from the pink lips of the girl.

"Let's go!" Embrace Andi's shoulders and make the man roll was increased in shock.

Quickly Andi turned his gaze when Andin turned to him, his feet stepping quickly past Andin, "Maybe I'll give up and follow papa's desire to choose one of the girls he chose to be my wife" His words were flat with a cold gaze pointing forward without looking at Andin who was smiling at him.

Varest can only return Andin's smile even though the girl's eyes are directed straight towards her best friend. Varest understands that at this time Andi must be angry, what else is new these few days Andin seemed to give hope to Andi to approach him, but now he saw firsthand how the girl looked so close to a man.
