One full night Sumayah lamented her fate which was again separated from the son. And more painful now he is in prison. The coldness of the iron bars did not dampen Sumayah's determination to get Salim back.
You bastards, just look I'll definitely come out and avenge everything. Just look, Kevin! You're the one I'm going to suffer the most!
The beautiful beauty no longer seemed peaceful in it. He looks dark and radiates vengeance. There is only darkness in it. Anyone who saw, would be able to feel a burning grudge within Sumayah.
"Good morning, Madam!"
A voice greeted Sumayah's ears, she who was sitting curled up bent her knees, turned out the bars that blocked her from the outside world.
There stood an old man with a warden. He smiled meaningfully, looking warmly at Sumayah's beautiful bead.
"Do you still know me?" she asked with a soothing warm smile.
Sumayah's forehead frowned confusedly. He did not remember the old man standing there. Sumayah was indifferent, she turned back and stared blankly at the prison wall.
"I don't know you, I don't know anyone right now. Just go, I don't want to meet anyone" Sumayah said without seeing the intent of her arrival.
The man gestured to the warden who escorted them away. He looked back at Sumayah with his heart sore.
"Mrs, you know me very well. You were the one who helped me back then, do you remember the old man who was accused of killing a child? He just accidentally found it lying in a dumpster?" the old man's words reminded Sumayah of the incident ten years ago in which she desperately defended an old man who begged her.
Sumayah was slowly stunned her gaze began to change. He turned and looked at the old man's appearance from the tip of his hair to the tip of his foot.
"The old scavenger's father? But how is it possible ... Father has really changed. I don't even recognize Father. Forgive my attitude, I'm ...."
Sumayah could not continue her words, she cried bitterly considering her poor fate now.
"I know, Madam. For that I came with the intention of helping you, it just so happens that my son is a lawyer and he is willing to help you out of this accusation. Let me help you, Madam," he said as he bowed outside the bars.
Sumayah ran up to the iron poles crying and thanked the old man.
"really? Thank you, Sir. Thank you, I don't know who I'm asking for help because there's nothing I can trust anymore in this world. I'm really desperate not to know what else to do," Sumayah said.
He held both of his old hands while kissing his back. Truly, Sumayah felt that the hope that had started to fly was now returning slowly. At least he was not alone, there was someone willing to stand beside him. Fighting together to regain his rights.
That morning, the court case was called the local court. Sumayah sat on the defendant's seat with all the feelings raging in her chest. Just now the son of the old man asked him many things about all the cases that were happening to him.
"For this time, let's see first how the movement of your ex-husband, Madam because to look for evidence and witnesses is not possible. You don't have to worry, after this I'll look for as much evidence and prove that you're innocent."
The words of the lawyer, the bright young girl burrowed in his ears. He was amazing still that young as a lawyer.
Sumayah sighed, drawing in some deep air to unravel the nervousness in her chest.
"Mother!" Salim shouted loudly everyone turned their heads at the entrance including Sumayah. He stood looking at his son with tears falling unconsciously.
"Take me off!" Salim rebelled to take off Kevin's check and ran to embrace Sumayah as the burly hand finally came off.
"Mother!"
"Congratulations! My boy!"
"Calm down! We have a lot of evidence and witnesses that he won't be able to fight you" Priscilla said as she stroked Kevin's arm and asked him to sit in the back seat of Sumayah.
The situation became silent, as the three judges entered the courtroom.
"Salim, come!" call Kevin to Salim who is sitting on Sumayah's lap.
Those little eyes looked at his mother's face, one swipe he received gently on the head. Sumayah kissed Salim on the forehead and nodded asking his son to fulfill the call of the Father.
The trial began with Kevin's statement revealing all of Sumayah's wrongdoings. The woman lowered her head deeply while holding all the turbulent anger in her chest.
Salim, looked at Sumayah with sadness. He denied everything Kevin said. However, wanting to speak Priscilla threatened him. Be, he just silenced listening to all the accusations that his father made for his mother.
"How is the accused's sister? Is everything Mr Kevin said true?" ask the judge after Kevin ends his statement.
Sumayah raised her face looking at the three judges waiting for her to speak.
"I'm sorry, but all that man said was a lie. I never did everything he said. For the last incident, I just wanted to take back my son whom he had forcibly seized a few months ago. He even made me have an injury to my head if there was nothing to help, I would have been dead and no one would have known about it" Sumayah said calmly.
"I can bring in witnesses and give you all the evidence!" kevin stood back up.
One by one the evidence and witnesses presented Kevin, and all of them cornered Sumayah. The lawyer who helped him, could not do anything because they had no evidence other than Sumayah herself.
"My client said he didn't kidnap a child. He only wanted to take back the child he had forcibly taken from him. Wise judge, why don't we just let that kid choose who he wants to stay with?" said Sumayah's lawyer at the end of all the trials.
"Can't! Salim will stay with me" Kevin quickly said.
"Are you afraid this child will choose His Mother over you?" ask the lawyer boldly.
Kevin was agitated, Sumayah looked at Salim lovingly as usual. While Salim, actually cried when he saw him meet.
"I'm sorry. I don't want my mother to be hurt again, I don't want my mother to be hurt again until they kill her. Salim loves Mom, Salim wants to live with Mom, but Salim can't go with Mom. Forgive Salim, Mother!" said Salim while cutting off the view from Sumayah and bowing his head deeply.
"You hear! Did you all hear! He chose me, he would rather live with me!" kevin was proud.
Sumayah smiled steadfastly as Salim again raised his gaze. He agreed, this is the plan. While collecting evidence and looking for witnesses Sumayah will ask for a suspension to the judges, and during that time Salim will be safer with Kevin.
The trial dissolved with Kevin as the winner.
"I want to see my mother before coming home with you" Salim pinta said after being outside the courtroom.
Kevin allowed though reluctantly.
"Mother!" Salim chased after Sumayah and hugged her.
"Make him like you, son. I promise I'll come soon with all the evidence and witnesses. We're gonna fight together to take down those criminals! Salim can be patient, right?" sumayah Pinta.
"Alright, Mother! Salim will be patient waiting for Mommy!"
The two separated with a plan.
