Sumayahs
Hide in the Nest of Enemies

"Be careful, Madam! What pain?" ask the old lady who helped Sumayah walk in the darkness of the forest. Occasionally, a hiss from Sumayah's lips sounded as the wound on her leg was piercing.

"It's okay, Mom. It is not too painful to wear a pedestal like this," said Sumayah smiling loudly.

The three walked down the jungle towards the Southern village. The old man was in charge of carrying Salim and the old woman helped Sumayah walk.

"Is that Southern village still far from here? We've been walking for a long time" asked Sumayah who was tired of carrying her foot forward.

"There's behind this forest, ma'am. Soon enough, the village will usually be deserted at midnight" said the old man who led their way.

No one else spoke, they continued to take a step past the tall trees towering along the forest. The moonlight cannot even make up for its lush foliage.

For about three hours, they walked through the forest. They will stop only when Salim cries and Sumayah must breastfeed so that the baby's cry is unsustainable.

The old man stopped his steps and turned to face behind. He handed Salim over to his wife.

"You take the madam and this baby through the back of the house. You will open the door for you from the front" he said, handing over baby Salim to his wife.

Without protesting the old woman took over Salim and carried him. The light in the distance had been seen, it was the street lights that led to the Southern village.

"Look! We're close, the edge of this forest is already visible. It was a street lamp that led to the Southern village," pointed the old man at a faint visible light in the distance.

"That's the way!" sahut the woman while looking at Sumayah with a smile on her lips.

"We'll split up at the end of the road there. You have to take another road that leads to the back of the house. You will pass through the village road that is usually passed by residents," he said giving directions.

"Brather careful!" remember the worried wife.

"Not to worry about you, Mother who must be careful to take care of Madam. Do not let the slightest thing invite the attention of the locals," said the old man firmly.

"Yes, sir."

Sumayah was just speechless, she did not know how the people in the Southern village were currently. Everything changed after the snake girl who came from the Southern village damaged her good name image.

They split up at the end of the forest road. The old man waited for his wife and mistress to leave before he took a step out of the forest. He followed the village road that is usually passed by locals.

Right, at midnight like this the state of the village is very deserted. None of the residents were seen wandering outside. He breathed a sigh of relief, walking carelessly through the houses of the people along the right and left.

He had to pass through the residents' plantation to arrive at his house at the end of the village. A semi-permanent house that their son had woken up to before moving to the village. Unlike their house in the village of Hulu Sungai which is only made of woven bamboo.

He took a deep breath and exhaled violently as soon as the door of the teak-wood house was in front. He knew, His wife and mistress were waiting at the back door that was deliberately not illuminated.

"Eh ... Sir! Just home? Why yourself, where is your wife?" reprimanding one of the citizens who had out of nowhere to come had suddenly been behind his body.

He gasped in surprise, before looking back he unraveled his shock. Smile even though I have to.

"Yes, Sir. Our fields in the village of Hulu were flooded because of the rain last night. Understandably our fields are on the edge of a big river, so ... affected by the impact of the rising river water," he replied trying to suppress the nervousness in him.

The old man nodded his head at the suggestion from him.

"I still love you for now, sir, but I won't know." He grumbled in his heart, driving away without speaking. Just waiting furiously for his departure.

"Yes already, sir. I went home first, and it seems like you have to rest. Do not leave your own Wife what else with a stranger," he said that successfully made the body of the old man stiffened instantly.

"Haha. Kidding, Sir. Your wife must be alone there, right? I just reminded him of the fear of a stranger doing evil to him" he said, patting the old man on the shoulder before passing from his yard.

"Did he know about my wife and the Madam waiting in the back?" he muttered before finally opening the door quickly to ascertain the condition of the three people behind the house.

"Mom, come on, come in!" he half-whispered as he opened the back door of the house.

"Come, Madam! Do not hesitate, here only the two of us stay," said the woman gave way to Sumayah to enter first.

The house looks simple from the outside, but inside it has been equipped with a variety of modern household furniture. Sumayah was led to the sofa, with Salim waiting for the old woman to finish her work.

"Mrs you can rest in there!" point it at a room he just cleaned.

Sumayah moved carefully, with Salim in her trunk she entered the room that the woman had appointed.

The rooms are all black and white, typical of a man complete with all the decorations installed on the wall shelves. Miniaturized robots, heroes in fictional stories, and vehicles decorate the room.

"Is this your son's room?" asked Sumayah glanced at the two old men standing in the doorway.

"Yes, Madam. He very rarely comes home, works in the city he said as a bodyguard or whatever. Even if he came home for only a day's stay in this house," the old woman replied with a tremble.

His gaze was sad, maybe he missed the figure of his son. Sumayah went back to look around the room.

"Excuse me, Madam! You go to sleep, rest your body, Madam." Both of them stepped back slowly closing the door and took a break in their rooms.

Sumayah turned to a king-size bed wrapped in chess-patterned sheets. He poured out Salim carefully. Uncomfortable with his body, he wanted to clean it up for a moment.

Soaking for a while makes all the muscles in his body stretch and feel comfortable. Sumayah crawled slowly so as not to wake Salim who was asleep. He settles down next to the baby, embracing it gently.

Before his eyelids closed, his eyes caught a small figura mounted on a nightstand next to the bed. Sumayah took it carefully. Looking at the photo of a dashing young man standing in all-black clothes.

Brow wrinkled. He sat up as his memory of the young man came to the surface.

"In-him? So ... they ...?" Sumayah tongue can not continue the sentence that is already at the end of the tongue. He nodded and closed his mouth so as not to scream.

"No! This is impossible! What if ...?" Sumayah shook her head again, the anxiety that had disappeared for a while came back and made her anxious.

He put the figura back in its place. Lying with a feeling of grief that struck.

"I have to make sure of them tomorrow!" he said before closing his eyes.
