Sumayahs

Sumayahs
Who's Doing This?

"Mother! Hurry up, I'm impatient" cried Salim from the porch of his house. He stood restless as he would gawk into the house to see how far his mother had prepared.

"Yes, baby, just a second!" suhut Sumayah patiently. It was a call to Salim many times. The five-year-old was impatient when Sumayah said she wanted to play on the beach. He never knew if near where he lived there was a beach frequented by local residents.

"Mother for a long time, what is she doing inside?" salim's gerutu was tired as if he was waiting. And want to immediately feel what it feels like to play salty sea water.

"Come, I have to prepare lunch for us later. So, no need to buy anymore" said Sumayah while locking the door of their house. He took Salim's hand to the highway to wait for the transport. In the other hand there is a tote bag that contains food for them.

"Mother, is the beach very far away?" salim asked as he glanced at his mother who was endlessly looking at the road to the right and left.

"Yes, Salim. Just take an angkot for about an hour we will only arrive," replied Sumayah rubbing her son's head gently.

Salim nodded and waited silently. His legs hanging from the waiting area of the bus he swung forward and backward with both hands resting on his right and left body.

Sumayah who glanced smilingly looked at the impatient Salim to immediately see the beach. Indeed, during their stay in the village even though Sumayah had never taken him on vacation. Just this time because the money he collected was more than enough to take Salim away on vacation.

"Mother, is that his car?" point Salim at a public transport car that will pass in front of them.

"Yes, honey. Come on!" Sumayah invited Salim to stand to stop the angkot who was about to pass. He invited Salim to sit in the back, the boy had a thousand questions in his heart. This time he sat in a car. However, he held it and would wait until the angkot stopped later.

Sumayah's face covered with a kind of veil made her unrecognizable. He intentionally wears it.

Just as the sun was overhead they reached the shore. Sumayah invited Salim to rest at a small mosque provided by the beach manager before going to play with other children who first arrived at the place.

"Mother, come on, I want to quickly play there!" Salim whined at Sumayah who was opening their provisions in the quiet mosque foyer whereas, the beach visitors were so many. However, no one came to the mosque to worship.

"Wait, Salim! We should eat first so that Salim does not catch a cold later," said Sumayah while giving a box of supplies to her son.

Salim obeyed, he took the box and ate it as recommended by the mother. Both of them ate with a happy feeling. Salim who wants to immediately play sea water and Sumayah who has succeeded in pleasing his son even though only invite him to play sea water.

After tidying up their food marks, Sumayah invited Salim to approach the beach. Maybe because this is a weekend, for that visitors simply crowded the beach.

"We're just playing on the sidelines, yeah. I was afraid because the waves were unexpected and Salim was not very good at swimming" said Sumayah who got a nod of the head from Salim.

He sat under a tree watching his son play in the sand like other children. It's just that, if the others use playing tools, while Salim uses makeshift items that he finds around the beach. Coconut cough or even twigs, but he still cool to play.

Sumayah smiled meaningfully looking at the happy face of Salim that kept on radiating. Nothing could make her happy more than seeing Salim's happy smile.

The boy turned his head showing his work a sand dune he carved abstractly. Sumayah's forehead was wrinkled to see the details of the carving on the sand dune that looked more like a dome.

"This is the dome of Mother, I want to build a mosque in our village" he replied. Sumayah was filled to hear the great desire from the little heart before her.

"Why?"

"For all citizens no longer need to walk far to perform Friday prayers and more importantly do not jostle for a place. Isn't that good, Mother?" he explained while commenting on the witty smile of a boy his age.

Sumayah is increasingly proud of the small figure, hopefully the greatness of her heart will be carried over until she grows up.

"Yes, honey. That is very good, may Allah hear this prayer of yours, Salim," said Sumayah rubbing her son's hair gently.

"Of course God will hear, Mother, because the prayer of the Mother is soaring. All the inhabitants of heaven must have guaranteed Mother's prayer for Salim" he replied firmly. A serious roar was imprinted firmly on his face.

Sumayah nodded her head, she did not know where those words got Salim from. But wherever it comes, may only the good be taken away by the child. Aamiins.

"Come, it's afternoon. Wash your hands and wash yourself the Ashar prayer," Sumayah asked as she moved from her seat. Salim finished his game, he walked off the beach with Sumayah. Play water for a while and play sand which is important the boy's heart was cheerfully happy.

"Mother, after this are we going to go to the sales place there?" tanya Salim pointed to the direction of the bazaar on the beach.

"Can Salim buy what?" ask Sumayah while folding her face after performing the ashar prayer in the mosque.

"Can I just buy this beach dress? I'll put it on right away" she said with a hopeful twinkle in her manic that resembled the father.

Sumayah swept her hair gently while smiling. "Can, come!" The two left the deserted house of God from his guards.

Walk down the sandy road to the location of the bazaar that menjajakan all kinds of typical beach goods. It was with joy that Salim chose and sorted out what he wanted to buy. This was the first time he had chosen his own item to wear.

The choice falls on a white t-shirt with a beautiful beach image. He was wearing it right then and there. Long-sleeved clothes and long pants were also chosen by Sumayah for Salim.

Along the way from Salim's dark netra bazaar continue to stare at a line of pictures lined up along the way. Sometimes he glanced at Sumayah who looked ordinary. Suddenly, Salim stopped his steps making Sumayah turn to him with a frown.

"What's up, son?" his tanya crouched down inside Salim.

The boy threw a forward look, "Isn't that a picture of Mom? Why are there so many pictures of you along this beach? And they made Mom like stuff. Who finds Mom she'll get a gift. Tell me, who did this? Who would dare insult my mother? Tell me, Mom, who is it? I want to make a calculation with him!" scatter Salim with a serious look and anger that was clearly imprinted there.

Sumayah who did not understand also circulated a view. How surprised he was when along the beach was attached to pictures of himself with a competition. Sumayah panicked, lucky that she was wearing a veil so no one recognized her.

"Later Mom will tell me. Now let's go home!" take it without compromise. Sumayah carried Salim and walked quickly away from the beach. That means this village is no longer safe for them. And of course Kevin's men have split up at his place of residence. Right, no matter how they dress Sumayah will still recognize him.
