(S2): Letter from Fanya

Lizzie awakens when sunlight has flooded the room with its light.  A second later he realized what was happening. He felt pain in his body. Lizzie has also realized she is in the hospital.

Vladimir appeared behind the door of his room and the man was surprised to see Lizzie who was already conscious. The two stared at each other for a moment. Vladimir's blue eyes looked at him with great relief. He immediately ran to hug Lizzie . His head was buried in the neck of the girl. Lizzie just silently pecked.

"I'm glad you're sober. You know, when I found you unconscious covered in blood, I was so scared. I thought you were dead,’’he said in a choked voice.

  Vladimir recalled the incident yesterday when he found Lizzie who was unconscious covered in blood and her heart seemed to stop beating . He was so anxious and panicked and had thought of losing Lizzie for good. Vladimir loosened his arms so that he could see Lizzie's face that was no longer pale. Now on the girl's face there is a red hue back. It makes Vladimir happy .

Vladimir encapsulates Cassei's face with both hands.’’It's all over. Grigor has been arrested and he has confessed to everything he did.  He won't be able to bother you anymore nor your family. You are safe now."

Lizzie breathed a sigh of relief.

"How long have I been unconscious?"

"3 days."

‘’Then Grandpa? Where is he?’’

"It's fine."

"I want to see Grandpa."

"You'll see him tomorrow until you get better."

"Thank you."

Vladimir smiled.

Dimitri and Aleandra immediately hugged Lizzie.

"Thank God you're conscious. I'm tearing you up."

Aleandra cried while hugging Lizzie.

"I'm fine, Mom."

Dimitri hugged Lizzie." I'm glad you're healthier."

Not long after that came Sergei escorted by Nester. He was relieved that Lizzie was okay, and Sergei told her what happened when he met Grigor.

"Grigor blames me for his mother's death. Some are true, but not entirely true. Grandpa just loves your grandma. She's the only woman in my life that I love no other woman. Anthony and Grigor's mother was just a friend. By the time Grandpa met her, Xandra was pregnant. At that time I felt sorry for him.

Her boyfriend raped her until she became pregnant . I often listen to his complaints and over time we became close friends. We both met and talked a lot, if we had free time. Since then Xandra has smiled a lot and does not look sad anymore. One day when we had another meeting, Xandra expressed her feelings that she had fallen in love with me, but I rejected her, because at that time I already had a lover, your grandmother. She was crying and looked very disappointed.  I don't want to make her sad or hurt her feelings. It was the last time I met him and I've never heard from him since."

‘’So Grigor and Anthony Lennox it's not grandpa's son?’’ask Vladimir.

"Of course not."

‘’But why did Mr Lennox say that grandfather was his father?’’ask Lizzie.

‘’Maybe Xandra has been lying to Grigor all this time and she instilled hatred towards him and made him a grudge to our family. I'm so sorry about this. If Xandra hadn't lied to Grigor, she probably wouldn't have taken revenge on our family."

"Anthony has been released and his good name has been restored. The losses during his imprisonment were already paid. Anthony knew nothing about his mother's life. From childhood he was taken care of by his grandparents" Vladimir said.

A garden party to welcome Lizzie's return from the hospital looks festive. A variety of dishes have been served on the long dining table. All the maids have done well to throw this garden party. This welcoming party was only realized by the servants and members of the Romanov and Rivera families . Lizzie is happy to see all her family gathered, but she feels that there is something lacking in this garden party, which is the presence of Fanya.

Since the abduction he has not met Fanya again, but according to Vladimir, Fanya is fine. Lizzie picked up a piece of cake that was on a nearby table and the corner of her eye caught her grandfather with Vladimir at one of the tables eating their lunch.

Someone patted his shoulder as he was about to stuff a piece of cake into his mouth. Lizzie turned to the side and found Ivander, Juliana, and Amber coming. Lizzie was very happy.

"Thank you guys for coming."

"We won't miss this garden party" Juliana said.

Ivander smiled amusedly looking at Lizzie's mouth filled send cake.

"You're like a little kid,’’ Ivander said as he cleaned the cream around Lizzie's mouth with his thumb. The girl just smiled widely and then helped clean her mouth from the cream of the cake.

Lizzie tucked the mantle onto her body which was already getting cold as she was taking a walk in the park. Autumn had arrived and the air outside was getting colder and colder. His life is now calm and happy . He has returned to his family and the people around him can smile happily again. But there is still one problem that has not been resolved until now that is the problem of his feelings for Vladimir.

During this one month, Lizzie was still trying to avoid Vladimir as he began to aggressively approach her again . Even Vladimir repeatedly asked himself to reconsider his feelings. Like today, the man gave her a bouquet of red roses for her with a greeting card containing I love you forever. Apparently Vladimir was not willing to give up so easily, but Lizzie was trying not to care about it.  It wasn't easy for him, but that's what he had to do. Vladimir is the man Fanya loves and he will not snatch Vladimir from his best friend.

Lizzie could not deny, whenever she was near the man, her heart was always pounding so hard that she felt people nearby heard her. Lizzie cleaned her shoes on the doormat before she came in. Upon arrival in the living room, he sat on the floor in front of a burning fireplace to warm himself up and extended his cold hand to the front of the fireplace.

Milly smiled as she looked at Lizzie sitting in front of the fireplace. He stepped in without making a sound. He was shocked when Milly greeted him

"You're back,’’said Milly.’’It must be cold outside."

Lizzie nodded, then Milly sat beside Cassei staring at the flames in front of her.

"I don't know how to deal with my uncertain feelings anymore."

"Is this because of Mr Vladimir?’’

Lizzie's eyes widened in surprise and her body stiffened. ‘’I know , You like Mr. Vladimir, but you can't accept it, because Miss Fanya."

"Where do you know that?’’

Milly smiled. ‘’I think everyone here can see it if you love each other. The way you look at Mr. Vladimir and the way Mr. Vladimir looks at you. There's love between you."

Lizzie's face was heating up and feeling embarrassed her feelings were exposed so clearly. "Although I had to throw away my feelings for Vladimir, ’’, Lizzie said in a sad tone of voice.

"You love Miss Fanya very much and don't want to hurt her feelings . You feel like a bad guy who has snatched his best friend's lover himself. The coming of love is indeed unpredictable with whom we will fall in love, we do not know. So you should not feel guilty for falling in love with Lord Vladimir, instead you should cherish the feelings you have now even though in the end you cannot unite."

"As happened to Mr. Lennox's mother. Love makes him live in hatred . Perhaps that heartache was felt by Fanya when she found out the man she loved loved loved another woman."

"You're afraid Miss Fanya will become like her mother lord Lennox?’’

Lizzir.

"I don't think Miss Fanya will be like Mr. Lennox's mother, because I believe Miss Fanya is not a vengeful woman. He'll take it well."

Milly stuffed her right hand into the skirt pocket of her servant's uniform and took out a letter, then gave it to Lizzie.’’This is a letter from Miss Fanya. Just arrived today."

Lizzie took the letter from Milly's hand.

"Thank you,’’ucap Lizzie.

Milly smiled then she got up . ‘’I have to get back to my job. Excuse me!’’

Lizzie opened the envelope impatiently after Milly left and took out a letter from inside. The corner of his lips curved upwards forming a smile and his eyes sparkled with delight as he read the letter from Fanya.

Fanya invited him to go to her house and stay there. He also said he misses her a lot and wants to see her soon. Lizzie let out a long sigh by hugging the letter on her chest with a happy smile.

Sergei puffed his face from the newspaper he read as Vladimir sat beside him listlessly while they were in Sergei's room. He folded his newspaper and put it on his lap.

"What's up?’’tanyakanya. ‘’What's your job in trouble?’’tanyanya.

"My work is fine."

"Then?’’

"It's about Lizzie."

"Aha.I understand."

Sergei smiled meaningfully. "So Lizzie still rejects you?’’

"Yes. It seems like she still doesn't want to accept my feelings."

"You have to be patient with it. He needs time. It's not easy for him. Lizzie still thinks you're Fanya's lover."

"But I have nothing to do with him anymore."

"I know, but for Lizzie, you're the man her best friend loves."

"I don't know anymore how I should take his heart,’’ Vladimir said with a sad face.

"Are you going to give up?’’

"Of course."

Sergei patted Vladimir's shoulder slowly. ‘’You know, my biggest wish right now is to see you get married and I've planned a fancy wedding for you guys."

Vladimir tried to smile. The shadow of her having her wedding party with Lizzie seems to be far from reality. During this time, Vladimir always poured his heart out to Sergei about his feelings for Lizzie, because only to him could he freely say it rather than with his parents.

"That sounds really nice,’’tujar Vladimir.

"I'm sure one day Lizzie will accept you. He'll regret it if he rejects you."

Sergei then smiled encouragingly at Vladimir.  

"Give him time."

"I always give it a lot of time,’’ Vladimir said pessimistically.

"Everything will be fine. Just look at it later." [ ]
