Sofia's Fear

‘’What did you guys talk about earlier?’’

"Ah that.that was not talking about anything, because you hunted coming.

" So can we have lunch together?’’

"No. You're the one who's eating lunch."

"Dimitri, why do you always reject my every invitation ?’’

"Because now I'm doing a lot of work. You should have been at home looking after Sakura instead of being here."

"Ester's aunt has taken care of him."

"But he needs his mother."

"The child is not my son."

"But we've already adopted him, so we're both now the boy's parents."

Sofia looks really upset.

"Go now, I don't want to be disturbed."

Sofia looked at Dimitri angrily and he walked away and knocked on the door slamming him.

Dimitri let out a long sigh and walked over to the window. Her marriage to Sofia was exhausting. She was eager to divorce him, but now there was Lizzie in their midst and now she had to think twice about divorcing him.

Now his mind floated on the conversation with Anastasia. He had to immediately look for his Aleandra and find her, he was eager to apologize to her and hoped that Aleandra would forgive him.

Sergei felt uneasy as Dimitri told him on the phone about Aleandra's disappearance.

’’Where did he know that Aleandra was currently missing’’. He exited his room and saw Esther's aunt who had just come out of the nursery.

"Where is Sofia?’’

"Mrs Sofia is gone. He said he'd meet Dimitri at his office for lunch together."

"Is Lizzie sleeping?’’

"Yes, sir, he's sleeping."

"I'll see my granddaughter for a minute."

Aunt Esther looked at Sergei with a look of pity and she recalled her master's conversation with Nester, then she followed Sergei to the room and there in the middle of looking at Lizzie who was sound asleep.

"Sorry sir."

"Ah you apparently. What's up?’’

"A few days ago I overheard your conversation with Nester in front of Mr. Dimitri's room. You said at the time that Mr. Dimitri was Miss Lizzie's real father. Is that true?’’

Sergei is shocked to hear Esther's aunt's confession.

’’I just want to make sure, what I heard is true or not."

"Don't tell Dimitri this. Do you understand?’’

"So it's all true? Why can't Mr Dimitri know?’’

"At the moment he shouldn't know about this matter, if he finds out maybe he'll divorce Sofia and that could bring big trouble to this family. Promise me to keep this a secret. Youunderstand? Otherwise, I'll fire you."

After being outside Esther's aunt's room stroked her chest and calmed down. She doesn't want to be fired as Lizzie's nanny, as only she can currently protect her from Sofia's evil intentions towards her foster child.

Meanwhile Anastasia was still busy with her thoughts.Today she could not explain about Aleandra's problem to Dimitri, because Sofia came suddenly. He stood up from his chair and left.

It was late at night that Dimitri was getting ready to go home . He was already impatient to meet with Lizzie. Since Lizzie was at his house Dimitri rarely came home late at night.

Anastasia had been standing in front of the Romanov family home. He no longer cared if he met his wife. White steam came out from his nose as well as his mouth. This year is the coldest in Russia. Anastasia hugged her body and slightly panted.She ventured to press the bell and not long heard a sound.

"Who?’’

"I'm Anastasia. I'd like to meet Mr. Dimitri Romanov."

"Mr Dimitri hasn't come home from his office yet, if you want please you wait for him inside."

"I'll wait for him."

The gate of the house opened and Anastasia entered. A waiter welcomed her arrival and took her to the living room.

’’Please wait here. Maybe Mr. Dimitri will be home soon."

"Thank you."

Dimitri was on his way home, but he turned the car towards Aleandra's apartment. He got out of the car and looked at the apartment. He walked in and pressed the bell. But there is no answer from within.

’’Is no one inside huh?’’

Dimitri finally got back in his car. He was still thinking about his conversation with Anastasia at the time.

"Aleandra's actually looking for what? Until he disappeared. Did something bad happen to her?’’

The question always swirled in his head. Dimitri felt his heart beating fast. He was afraid that something bad had happened to his Aleandra

Anastasia who was enjoying a cake was immediately run over by Sofia.

"You again. Why did you come here?’’

"Good night, Miss Romanov! I came here to see Mr. Romanov, so I await his arrival here."

"Now get out of here. I don't want to see you here or anywhere."

Sofia was so angry at Anastasia that she could not understand why Sofia was so angry with her for no apparent reason, what she had done wrong to her, Anastasia thought.

Sofia tugged at Anastasia's arm to get out of the house.She did not want Dimitri to meet with Anastasia, because Sofia was afraid that Anastasia would later tell about Aleandra to Dimitri.

"Well, lady Romanov. I'll be leaving soon, so let go of your hands.’’

Anastasia left the Romanov house. A few minutes later Dimitri was back.

Sofia welcomed her husband with a sweet smile.

’’You've come home, I've prepared hot water for you."

"Where's Lizzie?’’

"He was sleeping. Why do you always ask about him, but I , you never you ask how I am."

"Sorry Sofia. Now I'm tired."

Dimitri went to his room and Sofia looked angry with her coldness. Sofia went to her room. He sensed that soon Dimitri would find out about this secret, let alone that Anastasia had come to Dimitri twice today. [ ]
