Shattering Hearts

(S2): Journey to Zelenogradsk

Lizzie was so happy after school. He happily walked home after Ivander told him he would take Lizzie to Zelenogradsk for the weekend before going to school.

"Tomorrow I will take you to Zelenogradsk and meet Fanya" Ivander said.

"really?"

" yes. I've been thinking about this for a long time. It's okay we're just going there for a minute, but it's just the two of us. Juliana and Amber are not coming."

"All right."

Lizzie's face sparkled with delight and she could hardly believe her hearing that Ivander was going to take her there. Lizzie i directly hugged her.’’Thank you....Thank ye. I promise I'll be careful while I go there."

Arriving at Lizzie's house, he immediately went up to his room with a happy feeling in a moment he would go to Zelenogradsk. He missed the village too long.

Juliana looked at her husband. Ivander looks so calm.’’Are you sure you're gonna let you go there?"

"I'm sure. Lizzie needs a weekend getaway. All this time he never went anywhere. I feel sorry for him, because he misses the village and his friends. I don't want to see him sad for long."

" You guys have to be careful."

Juliana sat next to her husband.’’Hopefully things will end soon and Lizzie can reunite with the real family."

The next morning after breakfast, Lizzie and Ivander say goodbye.

"I'll be back’’ soon he told Ivander and Juliana.

"Be careful on the road!’’juliana.

Lizzie put on her sweetest smile, then got into the car.

Vladimir got out of his black sedan when he was in front of Ophelia Esther Constantine's house wearing jeans and a T-shirt. The atmosphere of the house looks very quiet only the friction of birch trees blown by the wind and also the sound of birds chirping. Vladimir opened the white-painted wooden gate that was only about his waist. He pressed the bell and soon a woman appeared behind the door.

"Good day, miss! I want to meet Aunt Esther's mistress."

"Are you not Mr. Nicola's son" Milly said.

"true."

"How are you, Milly?"

"I'm good. Please enter!"

"I want to see your mother."

"Please sit! I'll tell mom about your arrival soon."

Milly immediately goes inside looking for her mother. Vladimir sat comfortably on a sofa covered in red velvet. For a few moments he looked around the house. The first time that is felt when entering is a warm taste that spreads and fragrant aroma of cinnamon and jam .

"Young master Vladimir!’’call Aunt Esther.

The woman's face looked happy when she met him. Vladimir smiled warmly and Aunt Esther immediately hugged him.

Esther looked in admiration at him and noticed Vladimir as a whole."You look like your father when you were young. How are you?’’

"I'm doing fine. I'm also glad to see you again."

Vladimir led Aunt Esther to a seat.

"The warm house. I like it."

"Yes I finally got to buy this house a year ago. How's your family doing? Everything's fine."

"They're all fine. I'm sending you greetings."

"certain. Say my regards to her too."

"I'll say it."

Not long after, Milly came with tea and cookies and sat down across the table.

Milly watched Vladimir unceasingly and he immediately blushed red when Vladimir caught him staring at him. ‘’Milly, you are also getting more beautiful,’’he said with a teasing smile made Milly blush even more embarrassed.

" So, any word on Lizzie?"

"Unfortunately not."

"The poor girl. His fate is really bad. Let's hope he's okay,’’ said Ester.

"I'm sure Lizzie will be fine. She is a strong girl,’’ Vladimir said.

"What are you looking for me?’’

"Oh that. I came here to ask you a few things about the events at the Romanov mansion."

Esther and Milly get tense. Especially Milly her face turned pale.

"I decided to help my father solve this problem. This case has been going on for a long time. We want to get it done."

"So then,’’replied Ester in a soft voice.

"I just want to ask you guys. I know for a fact you've been asked about this matter over and over again, but I was thinking maybe you guys had something forgotten. Maybe events that you think are meaningless at all become very meaningful to us. I beg. It's also for Lizzie's sake that maybe the girl's life is still in danger, if the real villain is still hanging around."

Esther breathed a long breath. ‘’Good. What do you want to ask me?’’

"When you came to the mansion did you see someone you suspected?’’

"When I came there the mansion was already on fire . I was freaking out looking for Milly."

"Milly?’’

"Yes. I told him to pick up my leftover stuff and when I found out the mansion was on fire I immediately went and looked for Milly and I finally found Milly. He was stuck in the kitchen and I was trying to help him. You must know what happens next to me. I didn't see anyone suspicious at the time. Really am. I just saw Ivander take Lizzie away."

Then Vladimir looked at Milly whose face had turned pale and his body was trembling."You okay?’’ask Vladimir anxiously.

"A. I'm fine."

"Milly is still traumatized by that event,’’ Ester said.

"Milly, when you went there did you meet a suspicious person."

Milly shook her head."I just saw Mr. Dimitri talking to Ivander while handing the baby over to the man. Mr. Dimitri told Ivander to save the baby after saying that the man was gone."

Vladimir looked disappointed, then he pulled something out of his pants.’’Do you know this locket?’’

"That's mine" Milly exclaimed.

"So this is yours?’’

Milly nodded. I lost that locket when the fire broke out. Where'd you find him?’’

"I didn't find him, but Jack. When Jack found this locket, he thought it was possible that the person who owned this locket was a witness to the fire that occurred in the Romanov mansion."

Milly's body became tense again. His heart is beating faster. He was eager to say that he saw the culprit when the mask was opened, but his tongue felt muddy and no sound came out. He was afraid, but he had also been guilty of not saying it. Milly did not want anything bad to happen to his mother.Vladimir still looked at Milly with a suspicious look, then he said,’’if you remember something come to me. This is my phone number,’’ he said while handing over the business card to Milly.

"alright. I'll call you if I find out anything."

"It looks like I should go. Thank you for taking the time for me."

"This house is always open for you’’ said Ester.

Vladimir then spurred his car out of the yard . From behind the rearview mirror Vladimir still saw them looking at his departure.

Lizzie who had arrived in the village of Zelenogradsk immediately traveled around the village, after Ivander parked his car near Silverbell Farms.He looked at his village with a feeling of longing and haru, because in the end he came back here again even if only one day.

Over the past 2 years, there have been many changes in this village. Mr. Andrews' farm looks better now and the sheep are more and more. He recalled the summer of several years ago when he and Fanya were rearing Mr. Andrews' sheep.  

Lizzie and Ivander walk towards Fanya's house hoping she'll meet her best friend. The wind blows moving the leaves around it. They stood in front of his yard with longing gazes at his best friend.

"Manya,’’gumamnya.

Eager to meet him, he set foot into the Corbin family home and suddenly Lizzie stopped her steps, hesitating.

" What's up? Don't you want to meet her?" ask Ivander.

" I really wanted to see him, but..."

"But why?"

" I don't want Fanya to suffer the same fate as me. I don't want the bad guy to force Fanya to tell me where I am. Better not to know."

" You finally understand. That's why we don't show ourselves to people we know."

Lizzie finally left the place and just as she was about to leave there was the sound of the door being opened. Quickly they hid behind the poplar tree that almost surrounded the house. A brownish-haired girl came out carrying a basket of food.

"I'll go first, Mom."

"Fanya, be careful on the road and please convey your greetings to Mrs Watson."

"Good."

Lizzie and Ivander further hide themselves behind a tree watching Fanya open the gate. His eyes were teary about to cry when he saw Fanya. He wanted to greet her, but he couldn't. Lizzie doesn't want anything bad to happen to her. He could only see Emily from a distance .

Lizzie came out of her hiding place. He walked back with a sad feeling. He was happy to see his best friend again, but he could not appear in front of him either. He was tired of constantly living on the run and hiding . I don't know when this will continue.

Lizzie and Ivander continue to move on and are already at Silverbell Farms. He misses this place where he grew up. This place is always as beautiful as ever. The flowers are blooming adding to the surrounding scenery to be more beautiful. He walked and circled around happily.

Lizzie was so happy Silverbell Farms wasn't as derelict as she thought she was, she wondered to herself. Who has been taking care of him all this time? Lizzie didn't take long to figure out the answer. He saw uncle Javor cleaning the grass.

" Your father took over Silverbell Farms" said Ivander, to Lizzie's surprise.

"really?"

"Yes, your father has rebuilt your adoptive parents' house."

The girl fell silent watching uncle Javor take care of Silverbell Farms alone. The corner of his lips curved upwards forming a smile. It felt like he wanted to crush his hug and say that he was fine and wanted to thank him for taking care of the flower garden owned by his adoptive parents.

They then go to the house Lizzie grew up in. Lizzie is happy to have her house back to how it was. The tears slowly fell. Lizzie could not help her grief. He recalled his happy past with his adoptive parents. His eyes were closed and he could hear the voices of his father and mother.

His mother's voice was scolding him and his father's laughing voice was so loud. Lizzie misses the moments of life with them. Anger and hate appeared in his heart. He will never forgive someone who has made his life miserable. Quickly she wiped her tears.

Fanya knocks on the door of Watson's family home and Xena Watson opens the door for her. Fanya gave a friendly smile to him. ‘’Good afternoon madam Watson!’’

"Good day Fanya!’’

"Sorry interfering. I just wanted to give this jam to you from my mom."

"Ah, of course,’’he said while fixing the location of his glasses. Xena received the basket that Fanya had given her.

"Didn't you want to go in first? I just finished making apple pie."

"No thank you. My mother's waiting for me at home."

"alright. Next time and say my thanks to your mother."

"Good."

‘’Excuse me madam Watson! I'll go home first."

Xena nodded and closed the door. On the way home, Fanya accidentally sees a girl of her age entering a car not far parked from Lizzie's house. As Fanya looks at the girl's face as she is about to board the car, Fanya drops her basket.

"Lizzie."

The car runs away from Silverbell Farms. Fanya who had just realized from her shock immediately ran after the car Lizzie was riding.

"LIZZIEEE,"hey.

The car continued to go fast and Fanya fell down.

"If that's Lizzie why did she come to see me?"

Fanya's crying. He misses his best friend so much.

Lizzie dropped herself on the bed. Tiredness has struck him since his arrival to the village of Zelenogradsk. He was content to remember his past. Both of his hands were propped up behind his head and his eyes looked at the ceiling in his room. He also recalled seeing Fanya for the first time since they separated.

"Does Fanya remember me?" lizzie Mumbles.

The gentle breeze that blew through the window made her drowsiness even more and finally Lizzie fell asleep.

Fanya had returned to her home, and she told her mother that she had passed Lizzie.

" It's impossible" said his mother Fanya.

"I'm pretty sure it's Lizzie. I know him."

"If it's Lizzie, it means she's okay."

"But why didn't he come to see me?" ask Fanya sad.

"Maybe Lizzie has a reason."

"Did he forget me?"

"Mom don't think so. Never mind Fanya, I'm sure Lizzie will meet you someday."

Fanya was silent .

Vladmir enters the Lenixton manor which looks very lonely after he returns from Constantine's house.

"Good day sir Vladimir!’’greet the butler.

"Jiang! Please get one of the waiters to bring me tea and cake to my room."

‘’Good sir’’.

Vladimir immediately went to his room in a hurry. He sat on the sofa in his room and closed his eyes.

"Milly,’’gumannya suddenly.

Vladimir sensed that something was known to the girl, but did not want to say it, because of something. Things that make him very scared. His instincts say that, because all this time he always trusts the instincts that arise from him. Vladimir suspects Milly because the girl has information he doesn't want to say. Milly will definitely come to see him soon he said in his heart. [ ]
