Dimitri's Regret

Dimitri's eyes began to turn red and teary, as the woman he loved had returned. Dimitri instantly pulled Aleandra in his arms and hugged her very tightly.

"Aleandra. You're finally back. I miss you so much."

Dimitri loosened his embrace, then looked at Aleandra.

"Where have you been?"

"I had an accident and had to be hospitalized for a few weeks."

Dimitri looked worried. "Are you okay?"

"Now I'm fine."

"Sorry for making you miserable and sad all this time."

"I'm here to take Lizzie with me. I know Lizzie's here from the newspaper I read."

"Bring Lizzie?"

"Yes. He's my son."

"I know Lizzie's our son."

"Not our son."

"I'm his father."

"Lizzie's sleeping in her room."

"Take me there!"

Aleandra and Anastasia followed Dimitri from behind. Aleandra rushed in and was so happy to see her Lizzie again. Anastasia was also pleased.

"Tell me why is Lizzie with you?"ask him while handing Lizzie over to Anastasia.

"After our last meeting, I married Sofia, but our marriage was unhappy and she died, due to an accident.

"Sofia and I never had a daughter."

"But I saw the news that she was pregnant."

"It was just a show. My father asked Sofia to pretend to be pregnant before our adopted child arrived home. Then Dad brought us a baby girl named Lizzie and it turns out she's our son."

"I don't understand, what do you mean?’’

"I just found out that Lizzie is my son, after I read my dad's diary. I'm really very angry at Dad, because he's been lying to me about Lizzie. Dimitri was just stunned by the silence of Aleandra's words and she immediately blocked the door so that Aleandra would not come out.

Dimitri stared at Aleandra's departure along with Lizzie.

Dimitri hit his desk hard and squeezed his hair with both hands.

Along the way Aleandra cried and did not care about the gazes of the people who were looking at her.

Aleandra wiped away her tears, then she took Lizzie from Anastasia.
