Chapter 50 ~ Turn Your Face

Michele is now in Ken's apartment. After telling Ken that he was in Jessie's apartment, Ken immediately left the park by taxi.

“I was so scared something happened to you, Chel.” Say Ken while putting two soft drink bottles on the table.

“Sorry.” That's all Michele said.

“What's up, Chel? Is there anything that bothers you?” asked Ken curiously when he saw his lover's attitude.

“Ken, can I ask you something?” michele asked carefully. And Ken answered with a nod of his head.

“Who was the guy you met earlier?”

“Didn't I tell you that you don't need to know about the guy I met earlier. Sorry, I don't want to get you in my trouble. Information from you is enough to make me le-“

“But I knew that guy, Ken, he was the guy who threatened me a few years ago after I caught him kidnapping Angel.” Michele cuts off Ken's words and talks with hunting breath as if she is frightened and does not want to keep the secret alone.

Ken was really surprised to hear Michele's words just now between believing and not. But seeing Michele's face like that it feels like Michele's speech is not a lie.

Ken approached Michele and then held the woman's shoulders. Michele's face was still the same as showing a look of fear.

“Didn't I tell you I'd protect you no matter what. Don't you believe me, Chel?” ask Ken in a soft voice as possible.

“Sorry, Ken. I really believe in you. But I'm really scared.” Michele answered and hugged Ken tightly.

Ken rubbed Michele's head gently. If it's true that Hiro is his sister's killer, wait for him not to think. But why all the clues came from his lover. Honestly, Ken doesn't really want to get Michele into his problems.

“Now tell me about Hiro. The man I met. You take it easy, I'm sure he didn't see you.” Ken said after feeling that Michele was calmer.

“Did the man have a tattoo on the right hand, Ken?” michele asked to make sure first.

“Iya. but not many men who have such tattoos. let alone on the hands.” Ken is still trying to deny.

Hearing Ken's response like that Michele felt that her lover did not believe her. So it's useless to want to explain what it looks like, if Ken still does not believe it will be useless as well.

“Indeed I told you that I forgot the face of the man who kidnapped Angel. It's all because I don't have the evidence. But by looking directly at the man, I'm pretty sure he's the one who kidnapped Angel and threatened me, Ken. It's just that the man's hair has turned white and his face is a little wrinkled.” Michele's paper at length.

Ken's still quiet, but what's wrong if he's looking for information first about Hiro. Or maybe Hiro is also working with someone who commands him to destroy his family. But it looks like it's going to be hard. Facing the enemy who had been his boss.

“Where are you going, Chel?” Ken was shocked when he saw his girlfriend leaving.

“I'd better just go home. It's really hard for you to believe all my stories, Ken. Moreover, that guy was probably your best friend. But I emphasize once again that I didn't make up a story at all. There is no benefit also for me.” concluded Michele and then out of Ken's apartment unit.

Today Michele started her routine as usual. But this time he chose to go to the office a little later than usual.

After informing Ken of Angel's killer, and the man does not believe him, Michele chooses to evade Ken. He was still disappointed with his girlfriend. And by leaving later in the day, he was very sure he would not meet Ken.

At half-nine Michele had just entered her study. On the table was already a glass of green tea that Ken must have prepared. But Michele doesn't care. Better to focus on work.

While Ken since then seemed surprised because it was eight o'clock his lover never came. He deliberately waited and made Michele's favorite green tea if in the morning, but unfortunately the awaited did not come.
