Chapter 30 ~ Voice Tapper

Ken is trying to find information about his girlfriend's arrest by the police. But all employees don't know it either. Only one of the employees knows that Michele was taken to the police station as a witness to the death of a businessman named Barrack.

Ken was obviously surprised. How can Michele be used as a witness to the death of the devious man, was not he had lost track and did not involve a single person in the murder of Barrack.

Ken certainly did not accept that Michele was linked to Barrack's death. He did it, why was Michele the witness. Or maybe there's something else he doesn't know.

After hearing answers from several employees who said Michele was only a witness, Ken immediately went into the pantry as well as his office. He opened his phone to find out something.

Ken opened the cctv recording data in Barrack's residential area. Previously he was very sure that had hacked the cctv when his departure. Especially after entering the residential gate. Until making Ken's way is very easy to get to Barrack's house. But wait a minute, Ken sharpened his vision again. He saw Michele's car stopping in front of the housing gate. Shortly after, a security guard approached Michele's car.

Sure enough the security guard told me that he had met Michele who was about to enter the gate. At that time Michele said that she was looking for her friend's address, but it was wrong.

Michele deliberately said that because it was impossible to tell if she had seen Ken there. And Michele also strongly suspects that Barrack's death clearly had something to do with Ken. But he did not want to send his girlfriend to jail.

Michele has already testified that she was not involved in Barrack's death. And it was also reinforced by Xander who had just come to see Michele, and guaranteed that his daughter had nothing to do with Barrack's death.

Xander also told police that barrack's death had gotten a bright spot. That is, looking at the content of drugs in Barrack's body is drugs that contain psychotropic substances. And it's been confirmed that Barrack died from overdosing.

Michele is out of the police station. He thanked his father for helping. Xander didn't ask his daughter much more about why Michele had the wrong address that night.

Upon arrival at the office, Xander immediately gathered all his employees and explained that their president was not involved in any criminal acts. Only used as a witness to the death of a businessman named Barrack.

Ken who had gathered there was also relieved after hearing Xander's explanation directly. At least Michele's name is now cleared of the cause of Barrack's death.

Michele is back in her room. He will continue his work that was delayed earlier.after that he contacted Ken to make something that could make him calm.

“Already. Just by chance before I went back to the office, I had lunch with Papa. Then what about yourself? I ordered food for both of us.”

“You don't have to worry about me. I've eaten. Now explain to me why you could be a witness to the businessman's death?” Ken sat in front of Michele.

Michele finally recounted the whole night Barrack died. Michele said that after the party, she passed through the street and accidentally saw the shadow of someone she knew very well.

“You mean who are the people you know?” ken asked trying to lure Michele.

“Sorry, Ken. At that time I was like seeing you walking into the housing, then I tried to follow to make sure, but apparently there was no one. Until finally came the security guard and asked me. But after I thought it was impossible for you to go there too. Didn't you?”

“Yes. Do what I go there. Anyway I've said it wasn't that I came home early at the party, because my body was so tired.” Ken replied with a very calm face, so as not to make Michele suspicious of him.

Ken knows even though Michele already knows her true identity, but for now he does not want to confess to his lover that he was the one who saw her that night.

Meanwhile, Xander is sitting in his study at home. The man was still curious about Barrack's death. Xander is still not one hundred percent sure that his friend's death was due to overdosing. Xander knew all along that Barrack was anti-drug. If he was killed, why was there no trace at all. And one thing that made Xander curious. That is, he saw Barrack's laptop in sleep when it was seen that Barrack was opening a sound eavesdropping application.
