Chapter 31 - A Quiet Day Before the Next Storm
Syllia is a witch from the Alliance of Aliviah who obtains a magic that is very rare and the attention of many adventurers in Femi. That magic was Elven Magic which was an early stage magic before Syllia could use magic belonging to anyone belonging to the Elf race in general. It was because of this magic that he got the nickname Copy Magician where a magician who can imitate all sorts of magic. Vezda also has similar abilities, but is much more powerful because Vezda only needs to activate his Overkill before using other people's magic and because Vezda has Overkill abilities, he could instantly figure out the composition of magic and the magic of anyone just by looking at the magic used, while Syllia had to know the magic chant of the magic she wanted to use from the other Elves.
“Are you guys not upset with the Alliance Aliviah? They have a very good posture.” Naria said and prepared to fight the enemy before her.
“Yeah, compared to you..”.
“If continued it would be a very disrespectful word, Blomer.” Blorie said before Blomer finished her words.

“I don't care even if it's vanity. Three minutes. Lest any monsters break through our formation!” Racita gave the order and everyone immediately prepared for the arrival of the plant monster.

“They're coming!! Get ready!” Adrian shouts and every adventurer who circles Syllia starts to fight all the plant monsters.
Every one of them did not care about killing those plant monsters, but surely every one of them was trying to hold back those plant monsters so that no one could penetrate them. Some who used blunt weapons made the direction of attack of the plant monster turn and those who used sharp weapons and magic could easily kill the monster.
“Ancestor of the proud Elf, connecting the bond between us.” Syllia's pace continues.
“Nyllia, don't get carried away by the enemy!” Racita shouted to Nyllia who was about to advance to attack the plant.
We are in a very favorable position. Racita looked around while continuing to kill the plant monsters that were there.
Their defensive position was surrounded by stones circling them and it gave them the advantage of furthering the distance from the attacks of plant monsters. Their attacks could also slow down plant monsters very significantly.
“Let all Elven dance upon the battlefield. Come upon us, ring of Elven.” Syllia completed the first level of magic and this was 2 minutes and 20 seconds before she finished her final recording.
In this case, we can easily last up to 3 minutes. As Racita thought that, Stoner was caught by the plant monster.
“STONER!!” Racita screams and tries to chase after Stoner.

The sound of chains, weapons and also followed the sound of the plant monster being cut off easily and instantly saved Stoner. Stoner also directly used the remaining potions of his and returned to position.
“Vezda.” Lilina sees Vezda who comes in with a terrible condition and manages to help Stoner.
“Vezda!” Celaena shouted and threw her last Injector at Vezda.
Vezda's condition was already on the verge of dying, but he continued to stand up to protect the others. The head was covered in blood, the prosthetic arm had been destroyed, and the injuries were very obvious in his left body. Even so, his robe could protect Vezda from more fatal injuries to his body.
“Thank you, Celaena.” Vezda dropped both machetes first and used the injector that Celaena gave.
“I'm not dead yet, get back into position and don't let any monsters break through this formation!” Vezda was intelligent and it made Racita realize that she also had to return to the position.
Vezda immediately rotated both machetes with 1 hand and prepared to attack. Vezda would not survive in the formation alongside the alliance of Cathur and Cleana, but Vezda would continue to spin and slow down the plant monsters from the front. Vezda's attack pattern surprised anyone who saw it because they did not expect that Vezda can use 2 weapons with only 1 hand.

“Vezda, have you ever had a very severe problem in your alliance and maybe it will make it difficult for you not to even solve the problem?” Aleratha asked Vezda while enjoying her snacks and coffee.
“Of course ever.” Answer Vezda casually.
“Are you panicked or scared?”
“I don't panic and for sure I can't be afraid.”
“What's your reason for staying standing then?” Aleratha's question while conversing with Vezda in the cafe near their alliance headquarters was unmoved in Vezda's mind.

The people who need me are behind and I stand ahead of everyone. If I had to die protecting them, I would. Vezda's determination at that time was the answer to Aleratha's question that was always flinching in her head.
On the other hand Samir attempted to fight bare-handed against Mine, but Samir's continuous attacks were repelled easily unlike when using a sword.
“It looks like you can't fight if you don't use the sword.” Mine says and attacks Samir, but Samir survives and can evade Mine's attack.
“Fire, the guide in the dark. The strength for those who desire. Soon, will come for destruction.” Syllia's rapidity was even heard to the place where Samir was fighting with Mine.
Syllia's? Is that Aleratha's magic? Samir glanced slightly towards where Syllia started chanting magic to the 2.
“You still seem to underestimate me!” Mine said and attacked with full force.

Ragnulf's kick stops Mine's attack and blows him to the front.
“Samir, give me your wind and find your sword!” Ragnulef immediately charged towards Mine.
“Zephyr!” Samir immediately gave his wind magic to Ragnulf to suck on his shoes and Samir immediately retreated to search for his sword.
“Little Werewolf like you can use Zephyrus wind magic?!” Mine was surprised by how Ragnulf fought against him with the wind that only Samir could use.
"Shut up and let me kill you, you fucking monster!" Ragnulf attacks Mine with everything he has, despite that Mine continues to fight back.
"The end of all war, the end of suffering, the light in the dark." Syllia's rapprochement continues amid the battle of Ragnulf as well as the Cathur Alliance.
"The plant monster emerged from the back formation!" Naria provided the information and Vezda immediately turned towards the back.
"Blomers!" Blorie yells at Blomer as Blomer tries to advance along with Naria.
The monsters that emerged from the rear formation had too many numbers for Blomer, Blorie, Naria, Sheryl, and O'Niel.

Shortly before the monsters destroy Blomer and Naria, Vezda protects Blomer and Naria by using her own explosives. O'Niel protects Sheryl with a large stone in front of her.
"Folkr, Dwarf, you three back off and take a break!" Vezda managed to seal the attack of the rear dark monster by blowing up the rocks and killing many plant monsters.
"The resonance of scorching flame." Syllia's pace continues.
Brother Vezda, I'm sorry. I couldn't be of much use and until now, this was all I could do. Syllia can find out who continues to protect her during the rap, even though she is in a state of blindfold and focus on gathering mana.
"Rear formation is safe! Everyone, focus ahead! We'll do everything we can to survive!" Racita shouted and all of them began to focus on the plant monsters that would emerge from the front formation.
Just then the flesh-eating plant monster, Naea did something that none of them would be able to resist. The entire Naea gathered into 1st and made a giant monster like Naea in an enormous size.
“Monster like that, there is no way we can fight.” Lilina said in great dismay after seeing the enormous and unreasonable size of the monster.
Damnit damnit! My magic power won't be strong to protect others if it's released. Maybe with Celaena's magic that doesn't have much mana, it's enough to hold it for 40 seconds. In a very short time, Vezda made a decision.
“Celaena! We use Absolute Lighting magic together! Quick to the middle!” Vezda immediately ran after helping the rear formation.
Celaena thoughtlessly went straight to the middle and the right side he guarded was replaced by Nyllia. Vezda immediately put both of his machetes next to his feet and took out the plant monster crystals that were nearby to be instantly grasped.
“Burn every enemies. Ash and dust will be thy reward.” Syllia's pace was nearing its end and 35 seconds before it was finished.
“O, Holy Lighting. Become a shield that protects everyone. Absolute Lighting.” Vezda and Celaena used the same magic together and combined the power of that electric shield into 1 pair of electricity that was huge enough to hold all of Naea who became 1 giant monster.
“Racita, the tentacles of the plant are heading towards the ground. Protect Syllia!” Vezda could sense that Naea's tentacles were penetrating underground to attack Syllia.
Sure enough, the plant tentacles instantly appeared before Syllia who had already opened her eyes.
I've collected a lot of mana. There's no way I'm moving. Syllia was scared, but she remained focused on her mana and magic.
Before Racita arrived, Naria had already protected Syllia with her body and all of the tentacles could not penetrate Naria's body. Syllia was surprised to see him and tears began to drip.
“I hate my own body, but at least with this I can protect you. Now it's your turn to protect the others. Finish it, Magician.” Naria said before she finally lost consciousness.
“NARIA!!” Racita shouted and it was 3 seconds before Syllia finished chanting.
“SYLLIA!! DESTROY THEM!!” Vezda finds out what's going on behind him and yells for Syllia to complete her spell.
“My name is Aleratha. LEEGI TORN!!” Syllia completed her spell and the entire sector was filled with her magic circle and everything was burned to the ground with pillars of fire coming out. Only those in the middle along with Syllia, Mine, Ragnulf, and Samir survived the blast.
On the other hand, Ragnulf still continued to fight against Mine. Unfortunately even though Ragnulf used Samir's magic, Ragnulf still struggled against the more powerful Mine.
“The weak adventurers are struggling to risk their lives there.” Ragnulf said and held down Mine's sword with his kick that still had Samir's magic.
“How can I show my face, if I cannot stop you!!” Ragnulf used his last strength and struck Samir's magic and his mina sword was blown away with Ragnulf's bone broken and his leg guard crushed.
“Damn it!” Mine was shocked and repulsed.
“Do well, Samir!” Ragnulf said that behind him Samir had come very quickly using Zephrus magic.
Samir's attack was about to be held back by Mine, but Samir's attack with his magic was so powerful that it destroyed Mine's sword so easily. With that, Mine had already lost and all of them who were with Samir won the battle in the Feeding Zone. Mine no longer has any plant monsters there.

“You are almost about my crystal.” Mine stood back up after nearly dying at Samir's hands.
“Dance of Scorching Flame - Scorching Dragon Dance.” Vezda quickly cut off Mine's left hand that touched the giant crystal that became the core of the Feeding Zone. Having reached his limit, Vezda could only cut off Mine's left hand with a katana that only Vezda held with his right hand.
“Cih, even with my strength, can't beat you two.” Mine still said casually.
Vezda's condition has reached its limit. Even so, this Tamer already did not have any help. Samir has understood his condition and he continues to focus on eliminating Mine.
“Who is your boss, Mine? I haven't seen Shin since I came back, I assume you killed Shin because your power is much stronger than before.” Vezda asked Mine.
“For what did I say who used me? The sure thing destroying the surface is his desire.” Mine said the same as Filman or better known as Shin by Vezda as well as Carlos and Vina in their notebook.
“Cih.” Vezda could not fight any further as it had already reached its limit. If he fought back, it would be very difficult to help the others get back to the surface.
Why does he still look confident even though his left hand has been cut by Vezda? Samir kept watching Mine's movements.
“If you guys have any questions, it might be good for Zephyrus to come alone to the 59th floor. There's something interesting and there too you'll find the answer to this damned man's question.” Mine said to Samir and pointed at Vezda.
“What do you mean?” Samir asked.

“Do you know what will happen if this giant crystal is destroyed?” Mine continued his words.

“I suggest you all run before you all get buried.” Mine said and Vezda immediately ran to save the others.
“Everything, leave your stuff. Our priority is to be safe on the surface. Help all the injured!” Racita gave the order, then Lilina who was close to Ragnulf immediately helped Ragnulf stand up, Celaena directly helped Syllia to get out, and Vezda brought the still unconscious body of Naria along with Racita.
“I'm not a pathetic dog. Let go of me!” Ragnulf tried to get Lilina to let him go.
“Ah just follow Racita said. You also can't walk fast.” Lilina also said to Ragnulf.
“Samir! Let's get out of here!” Lilina and Ragnulf call Samir.
“We will meet again, Zephyrus.” Mine said and Samir followed Ragnulf and Lilina.

Vezda, Racita, Celaena, Samir, and the few who can still fight protect all those who can not fight and do not have backup equipment. For a while Vezda used both machetes. His katana was used by Celaena as a close-range weapon. They all made it to the 18th floor in less than 3 hours using the route they usually traveled.
“Racita, maybe it's a little late to introduce yourself. I'm Vezda Fenias, new member of the Alliance of Aliviah. Thank you very much and your alliance has helped a lot. Then I apologize for my group's delay, there are lives that cannot be saved.” Vezda said and bowed to apologize to Racita.
He huddled up despite coming from one of the 1 strongest alliances. At least that was what some members of the Racita group thought.
“We also thank you for saving the lives of my group. Thanks to your treatment as well, Naria can be saved.” Racita said to Vezda.
“Then, this is a letter that fell from the dead body of your group member, James. I believe this letter is for you because your name is written on the envelope.” Vezda handed over the letter and Racita tried to hold back her tears.

“He certainly knew that the dungeon was a dangerous place. What I don't know is why he wants to stay with you to a place where you can die at any time. One thing is for sure, he has a special letter just for you. I'm sure he really wants you to read this letter.” Vezda said slowly and tried to calm Racita down.
“Good. Thank you very much, Vezda.” Racita receives the last letter from James.
“Then we will leave first. Send us a letter. We will be happy to visit James' grave later.” Vezda said to Racita.
“Good. We'll send you a letter. Until we meet again, Vezda, Aliviah.” Racita said and Vezda nodded to Racita and Vezda left with her group and Celaena.
Syllia used some of the recovery potions they still had in order for her to be strong enough to help Ragnulf walk. Meanwhile, Vezda, Celaena, and Samir are tasked with escorting each other to the surface.

Once on the surface, they headed straight to the Kyana Alliance headquarters to conduct intensive treatment. Ragnulf had to be treated there for several days, while Vezda only re-examined the damage to his left hand and immediately created a new prosthetic arm, Vezda also rested in the Kyana Alliance for 1 day while treating the injuries he experienced. Celaena, Samir, and Syllia return to the headquarters of the Alliance of Aliviah. Syllia immediately rested on the bed to recover her magic from which deficiency and Samir served the punishment of Aliviah by becoming his personal servant, of course, Samir still threatened if Aliviah did something indecent to him.
Aleratha noticed Vezda's condition returning to headquarters the next day with only her right arm and with her new suit of clothing for adventure. It instantly made Aleratha run up to Vezda and hug him. It happened in the presence of Bromner, Laris, and Samir who were still wearing servant clothes. After that, Samir and Vezda reported every incident that happened on the 24th Floor and all the predictions that would happen.
“Last report you may have heard. Shin or Filman is a former student in the East. Shin envied Carlos and chose to leave. Before leaving, he slaughtered his entire family. Without any meaningful reports, it turns out Shin entered into Demons.” Vezda told Laris.
“Did Ailas know who Shin was?” Aleratha asked Vezda.
“No. Shin escaped before Ailas joined me and Carlos.” Answer Vezda.
“I've heard stories about it from Aleratha. Then Shin's case doesn't need to be discussed because he died in battle. As a end we can conclude the white-haired Mine or Tamer is confirmed as a monster. However, it seems that for some time to come he will not show himself due to the damage he received from Samir and Vezda.” Laris delivered his conclusions regarding the report given by Vezda and Samir.
After reporting everything, Samir and Vezda left Laris, Bromner, and Alerath's study. Then they split up because Vezda got a letter from the Elf Kingdom and Samir will visit Lilina to talk about the rewards of the mission they have been through.
Vezda just sat on his bed and saw there were 3 letters. The first letter was a reply to the previous letter, the second letter was actually a letter addressed to Aleratha, and the third letter was something that surprised Vezda.
Letter to 3:
Vezda, vezda,
This letter is highly classified and probably only a few Archons are aware of this threat. Something happened in the Kingdom of Obrirus and Archon Rex threatened to attack Femi. They had a small dungeon and the Guardian Beast had already reached level 5. I don't know what really happened, but Araga City, Femi City, and a few other cities were the arrival of many refugees from the Obrirus Kingdom. For the city of Femi, it was not a problem. The problem is why Rex threatens attacks but sends many refugees? I thought they were intruders who would destroy other kingdoms, but one of the 1 Guardian Beasts asked me for help.
Guardian Beast, Dark Elf, Assahi Shiro. There are refugees there and they're looking for you. He should have ventured alone into the dungeon in search of money. Make contact with Assahi and he will give you all the reports and information you need. Do it in secret because Aleratha will probably report it to Aliviah.
Most likely and this is according to my prediction, we should be facing Rex. If that's the case, send me a letter before you leave Femi City. We'll meet at the crossroads of the Elf Region.

Vezda got up and went to Aliviah's room. Aliviah is alone and still lazing. Vezda watched every part of the room and around the room so that no one would interrupt their conversation.
“Aliviah. I have something to talk to you about. It's a secret thing and no one should know this, other than yourself.” Vezda said to Aliviah.
“Hoo? Looks like it's gonna be very interesting. What do you want to talk about, Vezda?” Aliviah smiled as if knowing what Vezda was going to talk about.
