Chapter 16 - White-Haired Monster Tamer

Vezda, Samir, and Syllia took the woman to the outskirts of the city because early on they saw the woman's expression was very frightened and looked very unsettled when they were surrounded. Even Syllia saw that the woman was quite frightened before being seen by Syllia. Vezda also thought that this woman might try to run away from someone, but in her bag like carrying something very valuable for her.

Plant monsters appeared all over the Underground City. Vezda did not stay still and directly cut while destroying the plant monster that appeared in front of him using only a dagger. Samir also directly lunged at the plant monsters that emerged from their back and left the cube.

“Syllia, Lilina. Going from–” Vezda had not had time to give orders to Syllia and Lilina and her body had been blown away with another plant monster attack to the back of the city.

In the central part of the city, Celia, Calia, Laris, and Aleratha instantly prepared to fight and protect the other adventurers. All the monsters were constantly coming towards them. Although Celia, Calia, Laris, and Aleratha were high-level adventurers who had fought against many strange events and attacks of these plant monsters, it did not mean that this was an easy thing for them.

“Celia, Calia, prioritize securing other adventurers. Aleratha, we focus on fighting monsters.” Laris gave orders to Aleratha and Alerahta immediately followed Laris.

“Good, Captain.” Calia said, and with her twin, they immediately saved the adventurers who needed help.

“Captain!” Samir came to take Syllia and Lilina to the city center.

“Samir, where's Vezda?” Laris asked as she approached the three of them.

“Vezda crashed into the back of the city. There are enemies I must resist. He's the perpetrator of the murder we're looking for and disguised as a male adventurer with all-black armor and a two-handed sword.” Samir said and all the puzzles in Laris' head were finally solved.

“The culprit is a tamer. This could be a problem. Samir, if possible capture the culprit alive.” Laris gave orders to Samir.

“Good.” Samir answered briefly and returned against the figure who was the perpetrator of the murder.

Samir's attack using a rapier is so fast and powerful that he can finish off many plant monsters easily and directly face the perpetrator of the murder. While fighting the perpetrator, the perpetrator of the murder still uses his complete black armor, but the Samir attack is very effective to beat back the perpetrator.

The fetus formed another very powerful monster and formed the plant into a human body. The sound of the plant woke the fainted Vezda and was buried under the rubble of the city.

“Overkill.” Vezda activated his Overkill and instantly destroyed every monster around him while saving the adventurers he could save.

“Everyone please follow Jays and others' directions for shelter. If you do not have enough levels to fight the monsters, do not fight once in a while because it is very dangerous.” Vezda gave orders to everyone around him while holding his two cursed machetes.

Vezda saw that a very frightening condition had already occurred in the Underground City. Vezda sees a huge monster near the city center and Laris along with Aleratha and Syillia are fighting the monster.

In the blink of an eye, all the monsters that appeared all the way from the back of the city to the center, were all killed and Vezda was finally in the center of the city. Laris, Aleratha, and Syllia could feel a very heavy air from Vezda different from the air they had felt when Vezda fought Carlos.

“Vezda.” Aleratha lansgung approached Vezda.

“I'm fine, Aleratha. But, we have another problem.” Vezda said as he looked at the huge monster.

“Vezda, We kill this monster.” Laris said to Vezda and Vezda immediately ran along with Laris.

“Syllia, prepare your spell. We will attack in full.” Aleratha immediately gave orders to Syllia and took the bow lying there.

“Good!” Syllia prepared her tapes and Aleratha gathered her mana in the arrows she was about to throw right after she tied the rope in the darts.

“Laris catch rope.” Alertaha threw out his arrow and Laris caught the rope from the flying arrow and his body was drawn into the air.

“Celia, Calia help Vezda chase the monster.” Laris gives orders to Celia and Calia who just returned after seeing Vezda must save the other adventurers and Celia with Calia immediately rushed after the monster that leads to the river to escape.

Celia and Calia were still less fast when chasing the monster, but when the monster plunged into the river, Celia and Cali immediately jumped and chased the monster.

“Celia, is your weapon strong to slash the monster?” Calia asked with a soft tone.

“Of course. I already have a lot of debt for this weapon.” Celia said and the two of them slashed at the monster together before plunging into the water.

On the other hand, Samir is still fighting against the killer who is a monster conqueror or other adventurers used to call him Tamer. Although Samir uses his Zephyr powers, it is still not strong enough to fight the Tamer and it triggers memories of his past and revenge that are much darker than anything black. The aura that only a few people could feel in the Alliance of Aliviah and Vezda that the new members could feel was the aura.

“Zephyrus, what happened? Why is your wind getting weaker now?” The tamer talking while fighting signifies a confidence.

“I'm not Zephyrus.” Samir said and constantly had to be in a defensive position because of the enormous power of the Tamer.

“Already. That wind of yours is very distinctive with the power of Zephyrus.” The Tamer said and tried to resist the wind attack from Samir.

Tamer's sword was destroyed by Samir's enormous power, but Tamer's power was so great that even using his hands, it was still enough to repel Samir.

“You will not be powerless without this tool.” The Tamer said and struck Samir's hand which held the sword until it was removed from his hand.

“...” Samir was surprised that his sword had escaped from his hand.

Tamer's punch hit Samir's body and Samir tehempas very fast to destroy the rocks behind him. The extremely powerful clash left Samir's body stiff and unable to move at all.

“You sure?” Vezda said this and Aleratha and Laris stood between Vezda.

“There are only 3 fools in front of me.” The tamer said and Vezda put down his dagger and switched to using his katana.

“Captain, Aleratha. Let's start.” Vezda said and the three of them prepared to fight the Tamer.

“Do not till you die, Vezda.” Laris said to Vezda.

“If you die, I will curse you after you are reborn, Vezda.” Aleratha said to Vezda.

“By pleasure. Dance of Free Wind - Cyclone Slash!” Vezda said, turning his katana and then the attack made the air around him very sharp for the Tamer.

Vezda's attack held the Tamer slightly and Laris and Aleratha directly attacked Tamer's front. Then Syllia came to their fight after helping some seriously injured adventurers.

“Vezda.” Syllia called Vezda as she came.

“Syllia quickly heal Samir and help him find his sword.” Vezda said to Syllia and immediately sped up to Laris and Aleratha.

“Good!” Syllia lansgung uses her magic for Samir.

Tamer's fight against Laris, Aleratha, and Vezda was fierce. Although Vezda and Laris fought more, Aleratha was much more powerful in turning the enemy's eyes away. Laris' fighting ability is great because he is a level 6 and has dealt with the evil Alliance before and that goes for Aleratha as well. That was what made the two of them able to bring about the flow of the fight. While Vezda dealt with people far more than monsters so even though he was still at level 5, Vezda was able to corner Tamer easily. Then, Laris had already injured the middle of Tamer's chest. The tamer retreated and remained silent for a moment.

“High level adventurers 3 people level 5, no, maybe level 6.” Tamer's words immediately made Vezda and the bestselling think.

“Ho? Looks like you've been cornered. It's good you give up now.” Vezda said to Tamer that.

“Unfavorable position.” The tamer said and immediately turned around and moved away.

“Zephyr - Aster!” Samir immediately got up and chased the Tamer.

“Samir!” Laris said and Samir stopped at the edge of the cliff where the Tamer jumped into the river and disappeared.

After the Tamer disappeared, Celia and Calia regrouped and the seven of them helped all the adventurers in the Underground City to surface. Helping all the refugees itself took 6 days and it was precisely the time that Vezda had planned to go into the dungeon and intend to train Alfred and Catherine after returning from the dungeon.

“That's what the report from us.” Laris, Vezda, and Aleratha report to Aliviah about what happened after saving all the adventurers on the 18th floor.

“Of course I'll help him.” Vezda said casually.

“Alright then. You guys who will continue the exploration, be careful.” Aliviah said to Laris and Aleratha.
