Chapter 6

It was almost 1 pm, the white sedan car re-entered the courtyard of the parlour. There was no longer a car parked there.

After getting off the car Nini drove Seli who walked while jumping happily.

Seeing Seli who is so happy makes Tia's mother happy.

"Mom, Seli is coming home" said Seli with a smile and went to his room to change clothes.

" Hurry, son. Lunch soon."

Seli has passed whether heard or not Tia's mother's warning.

Nini walked over to Tia's mother.

" Seli and I ate mom. Before coming here." as usual Nini will always smile every time she talks to Tia's mother

"Ahh.so apparently. And I just wanted to offer it to you, son."

"No need to ma'am." Nini shook her head gently "I have to go home now. There's some work I need to finish for tomorrow's meeting."

"All right, son, good luck. Be careful."

bu Tia gently patted Nini's shoulder while walking forward ushered in her departure.

The next day as usual, Nini was already in the office an hour before the office opened. He had already arranged a position as comfortable as possible to start work.

The computer screen turned on and he started working.

A few minutes busy with his affairs, the voice of the phone in front of him was startling. He then took the call.

"Hallo.good morning."

"Yes good morning. Is this with the marketing manager?". asked the caller

"Yes, I'm alone. Can I help you?"

" Our CEO requests that the meeting be held for 1 hour. Please work together." Nini had not been able to answer, the call has been interrupted.

" Damn it, the arrogant contagion of the CEO huh??" Nini's a little upset.

The meeting was delivered at 9 o'clock. It's 8 dong. It's just a few more minutes. Nini muttered while looking at her watch.

Nini immediately prepared the files that will be submitted. When he was ready he went to the meeting room.

When he arrived, he immediately took the position he had prepared. A few minutes later, Adit, the CEO, appeared cold-blooded with some of his staff.

All who were there stood up to welcome his arrival. Then he let everyone sit down, yet he sat his eyes fixed on the girl he had seen a few days ago.

Meeting time is over. After hearing a lot of debate and opinions finally Nini felt quite tired. For almost 2 hours he sat glued to the room, not to mention he and the CEO had to repeatedly look at each other. It scared him half to death.

Nini still has 2 hours for lunch break later. While waiting he returned to work in front of his computer. Slowly the shadow of the CEO began to disappear.

He had to refocus on his work for the sake of the pride of his parents and also the tuition of his two younger siblings.

It's lunch time.

Nini invited some friends of employees to eat in the cafeteria. There was no need to wait for long he directly got up from his chair towards the canteen.

There he ordered food and drinks.

Together with several employees he enjoyed his lunch menu with gratitude.

Thank God, I was still given the opportunity to enjoy this meal. So pray.

It's time Nini returned to the show's contract time of almost 6 hours.He tidied up everything then ran slowly towards the parking lot.

As usual, Nini will say goodbye to Mr. Tatang. Then drove by his car to a contract.

The next day...

Adit sat in his chair, leaning his head against the ceiling of the room.

He was tired of thinking about something, closed his eyes for a moment and opened them again.

Ah, that strange girl. He muttered while smiling cynically.

Not long after that he called his female secretary.

"Yes. I need you to find information about a girl who served as a marketing manager at a perfume company."

"Alright sir, if there's no more I'm sorry." when I'll open the door Adit's voice is heard again

" Find it out until his personal life. I hope you understand what I mean." His cynical smile was again drawn on his face. His secretary bowed and left him.

While at a not-so-large textile-industry company, Johan was standing staring out the window from his study.

His mind drifted on the memories of his past. A special woman in her life.

Those good times overshadowed him, for a moment he smiled but looked bitter and poignant.

Johan loves a woman named Jessika. But destiny says something else.

When they were almost engaged Jessika was called God, she had brain cancer. It's been almost 3 years that she lost that woman. Until now no woman has been able to shake her heart.

"Jess, what are you doing there?"

his eyes began to look at the clear sky.

"Hmmmmm. I miss you, baby. I'm sorry I promised you I wouldn't cry anymore." Johan's voice was a little hoarse.

The door on tap made Johan realize from his sadness.

"Come in" he said as he moved to his seat

Doni the secretary and Johan's best friend came in. Looking at his friend who looked sad he knew what had just happened.

"Han Report. Try checking first." while handing out some papers

Seeing Johan who was sad, Doni chose to go out and did not want to disturb him. He knows how his best friend feels. Since Jessika's departure, Johan has always wanted to spend her time alone. He used to be a cheerful man and brought laughter to everyone. But now, it feels like everything is gone. Johan prefers solitude.

I don't know if that's how he can let go of all his burdens and sorrows.

Johan grabbed the papers and focused on reading them. After trying he was finally able to focus his mind on those reports.

In the perfume company, Nini is also no less busy. He was also working while occasionally glancing at his clock.

After lunch, he had to visit a perfume factory and consult with experts working there to launch a new product that had been planned yesterday.

It's lunch time. Nini invited Maya an employee who was close enough to her to eat in the cafeteria.

Nini also immediately moved, she should not miss her lunch because there is still work that will drain her energy.

While eating, Maya who had been curious about Nini's personal life finally chose to ask.

" Sir, isn't there a boyfriend?"

Nini would rather be called mbak than mother. Many employees feel awkward because of their position as an important person.

But he forced them to call him that his reason for being more familiar.

" Emm.. Why are you asking such a strange question?" Nini asked while enjoying her meal.

"Can't you ask me?" Maya is embarrassed, then tries to smile but still looks stiff

"Huhahahs..How come" said Nini then sucked the iced tea "You're curious huh?"

Maya nods

" I don't have Maya's boyfriend." this time Nini put on a genuine smile so Maya doesn't have to feel awkward.

"Ohhhh.sorry yes."

"No papa. Kirain asked what?"

" No intention to date? Or looking for a husband?" this time Maya bit her lower lip.

" There are, just yes, God has not allowed to meet. Ahh mine is done, you spend it on you." pointing at Maya's food.

Before leaving Nini still had time to say something that shook Maya's heart

"I'm just waiting for someone who's destined for me. Don't want to waste time with the wrong person." smiled back and left Maya sitting dumb.
