Sacred Promise

Chapter 57

Lisa swallowed her saliva. It feels bitter and painful. She could not look at her husband sitting in front of her.

Adit doesn't care about Lisa. He focused on his phone.

A female servant approached and handed them a menu book. Adit was still staring at his phone.

"Impress for me. Whatever I eat." said Adit flatly.

Lisa opened the book and ordered. He also no longer focused on the food menu.

They shut each other up.

"I don't think you're gonna say hello to them." Lisa opened the conversation. He just wants everything to be okay.

"I have to say hello. Johan my sister and Nini..." Adit manatap cynical his wife. His cruel smile was drawn.

"The woman I love."

Lisa squeezed his fingers. Resisting the heartache he was feeling at this moment. Many times Adit always said that he only loved Nini.

Today they even met. Slowly hatred in Lisa's heart appears to Nini.

Dish's coming. They're still quiet.

Adit ate the meal without reprimanding his wife.

Lisa's appetite is gone.

I shouldn't have to accept his invitation to eat together. Inner Lisa

"You don't want to eat?" asked Adit with a cold look.

"I'm not hungry." Lisa looked at the dish. Right, there's no more hunger.

"Mother forced me to take you to lunch together. Don't expect more." not even Adit's face will change though. Stay cold and scary.

"I'm done." Adit looked at his watch.

"You just eat first. I'll pay for everything. Sorry, I'm in a hurry. Go home in a taxi." Adit stood up leaving Lisa alone.

With all her heart Lisa held back her tears. His heart hurt to be treated that way. The beautiful woman grabbed her bag and walked out.

He wiped his tears that were beginning to fall.

In the parking lot, there's Adit's car.

Lisa doesn't care about that. He knew Adit wasn't in a hurry. The man just wanted to get away from him.

Lisa waved her hand at a passing taxi.

Adit saw it from inside the car. Her eyes still watched the woman until she got into the taxi and disappeared among the other vehicles.

Arriving at home, Lisa ran towards the room and slammed her body on the bed.

Her sobs were hidden with pillows covering her entire face.

Until the night picked up, Lisa was still lying still with her position. Unconsciously she fell asleep.

Adit came home with a fatigue all over his body. After returning from the restaurant there was an important meeting that drained almost all of his energy and emotions.

The room is still dark. He turned on the room lights. Lisa was still in her pink dress and was sleeping well.

Adit doesn't ignore it. He loosened his tie and undressed. His fatigue must be pampered by soaking in warm water.

Adit and Lisa live in a different home to their parents. There were several assistants in the house who helped with their homework.

Adit deliberately asked for his own house so as not to be bothered with his mother who would sue for grandchildren.

Nearly 1 month into their marriage, she hasn't even touched Lisa's body. Adit can't lie to his feelings. He just loves Nini. Although it is well known as******* that likes to sleep with many women, but Adit chose not to touch Lisa. The reason for that was because she did not want to have a child from Lisa.

Long soak adit with warm water. He was trying to fix his messed up mind.

His thoughts are about the progress of this company and about Lisa whom he cannot love. Nini and Johan seem to love each other.

Adit doused his face with water. Closed his eyes. I saw Lisa's face at the restaurant.

"Ahhhhhhhhh.. Goddamnit!!" Adit shook his head. Opened his eyes. Back in Lisa's face as she endured her heartache.

"Lisa's... I hate you. At first I thought you were marrying me for love. But I was mistaken. It turns out you're not much different from other women. It's a treasure you want." Adit's eyes turned red.

Lisa opens her eyes as Adit kicks her butt slowly.

"Wake you up."

"Emm." Lisa squinted her eyes. He saw Adit was already wearing casual clothes.

The poor woman woke up. He had to sleep on the sofa again. His body hurts, but he survives.

She loved her husband very much. Unfortunately, Adit misunderstood. They were arranged for business purposes. But Lisa has loved Adit for a long time. Since the first time they met.

At that time, he and Jessika were friends. They're very close. Almost all the joys and sorrows they shared together.

Lisa first meets Adit on Johan's 22nd birthday. The show is not too fancy. Just invited some close friends, including Lisa.

Adit who looks mature and handsome, easily snatches the heart of any woman including Lisa. Although his stature was a bit scary but for Lisa it was not a problem. He loves Adit sincerely and for no reason.

"Go there." Adit's voice made Lisa sober.

Lisa obeyed only her husband's orders. While taking a shower, she cried again. Adit didn't even want to look at him for a while. He stared at his reflection in the mirror stuck to the bathroom wall.

"Am I too despicable to love?" lisa's tears kept breaking.

"Why don't I have the slightest courage to protest in front of him. I have a right to be jealous and angry. Because he's my husband." Lisa hit her chest that felt tight. To whom can he vent his heartache?

"I have to be strong.. I should be able to fight for my husband." he stared at his shadow again. Rubbing her tears.

Lisa mustered all the courage inside her to face Adit.

He grabbed a towel on his chest and walked out.

Adit was asleep, whether sound or not.

Lisa breathed out slowly.

It's time. Inner Lisa.

"Aditya" Lisa said in a trembling voice. Even his entire body trembled withstanding fear.

Adit opened his eyes and looked at Lisa, who was wearing a towel.

"I'm your wife" Lisa said.

Adit watched with his eyes twitching in astonishment.

"Then?" ask Adit in a flat voice.

"I want to claim my rights." Lisa painstakingly stepped her feet toward Adit who had already gotten out of bed.

"Haha.. What right do you mean, treasure? You don't have to ask for it, I'll give you most of my parents' inheritance. To make you satisfied." Adit's words left Lisa even more devastated.

"not your treasure. I don't need that. I just need your love Adit." Lisa is crying again.

"Omong empty. Do you think I don't know what a woman like you wants?" Adit pointed at his wife with a pointer.

"I'm not who you think I am. I was born into a rich family too."

"I think you already know that humans will never be satisfied." Adit's cynical smile mocked Lisa.

"I love you." Lisa's voice weakened. His hand held onto his chest which was beginning to feel tight.

"I can't love you Lisa. I hate you."

"Look at me for a second. If you don't want to think of me as your wife, at least consider me as your friend." Lisa's voice pleaded. His feet felt weak. He fell down like he was on his knees.

Still crying. His voice filled the room.

Adit still stands in his position. Her heart was a little touched, but she came back to hate when she thought that Lisa just wanted to act.

"There's something you should know about Adit. My parents don't want me to marry you." Lisa told herself to look at Adit.

"They betrothed me to the son of other conglomerates. Even with the richest child in Asia. But I refused everything. My reason for wanting to marry the one I love is you Aditya. I persuaded Papa to find a way to do business with your father. And force papa to devise a plan for this matchmaking to happen. Lucky it all went well." Lisa got up, walked over to Adit who was looking at her coldly.

"For many years I have wished and prayed to be with you. I think of you every time. But you? Not even a second has it crossed your mind to remember me."

"If you knew that, why do you still want to marry me?" Adit stared intently at Lisa's eyes that had been swollen and red.

Those pretty eyes still kept on shedding tears.

"Listen to me Lisa. No matter how many tears come out, my heart is not even touched. Don't force yourself to love me." Adit patted Lisa's shoulder gently.

"Sleep here. Now that you're my friend, I'll go to another room. Shouldn't sex-different friends sleep separately?" Adit looked at Lisa for a moment and walked out.

Lisa doesn't flinch like a statue. His heart is getting hurt. She looked at the door that her husband had closed.

The flames of hatred towards Nini grew even bigger.

"It's time for me to go to war." Lisa's body trembled with rage.
