Chapter 26

Black metalic car enters the orphanage page of Kasih Bunda. The three people in the car got out. Mother Tia and the children immediately greeted them with happiness.

Tia's mother approached them hugging Isma and Nini's mother warmly alternately and then shook hands with Johan. On their faces were smiles full of friendship.

"Sir Nini...!!!" Shouted a child excitedly.

Nini turned her body looking towards the voice, Seli ran to meet her then tightly hugged Nini's waist.

"Sister, Seli is kangen's brother. Where have you been all this time, why not come?" said Seli raising her face looking at Nini who was also looking at her.

"Sorry dear," Nini knelt adjusting height Seli "Sister lately sibuuukk really. But now my brother is here." Nini rubbed Seli's hair.

Tia's mother, Isma's mother and Johan only saw the two of them. They smiled happily at the familiarity of Seli and Nini.

"Come on Isma, we'll just talk inside." Tia's mother let it be

"Well, ma'am, you guys wanna wait while you play with the kids, okay?" isma said while patting Johan on the shoulder.

"yes mother." replied Johan briefly.

When Isma's mother and Tia's mother were away, Seli looked at Johan and Nini alternately, she remembered some time ago they had met in the hallway of the room.

"Sister, who is he?" ask plain seli

Nini looked towards Johan. The two of them smiled, then Johan approached towards Seli and Nini. Kneel down and gently rub Seli's cheeks.

"I'm Nini's sister's husband." Johan's smile was perfect

Nini looked at him for a while and then looked at Seli again, holding both hands.

"Husband?" Seli looked confused, she had just turned 7. And all this time living in a home without any parents would make him confused.

"Emmm.. He's a friend of my dear brother's." Nini tried to explain.

"That's how you think, brother?" seli's face was getting confused.

It was like trying to think of the right answer. She won't know, Tia's mother doesn't have a husband.

Johan found it funny to see Nini's stupid behavior. He held his laughter shut his mouth with his right hand

"Seli has no friends?" this time Johan will explain

"Have."

Seli looked back at the two alternately. Surely he was still confused, but hearing Johan's last sentence, he was silent.

"Eat morning, brother. Lunch is not yet time." Seli giggled a little, he knew if asked so would definitely be invited to walk as well.

Johan watched Nini who was engrossed in talking and laughing with Seli.

Johan continued to watch his wife's back until it disappeared. He stood up, staring at the surroundings looking for a place to sit.

He chose a seat in the garden that was in the middle of the parlour. There are some kids playing there. While sitting, a plastic ball rolls right near his feet. Johan looked at him and grabbed him, he turned his face to look for the owner of the thing. Suddenly a little boy stood in front of her, pulling Johan's pants.

Johan looked down. A 4 year old boy. He knelt down, looked at the ball and saw the boy.

"Have you?" ask Johan softly

The boy nodded. Johan gave the ball to the boy. Then the boy ran to see his friends. There Johan saw some young boys too.

Johan looked up at the sky, closing his eyes. He looked back at the children while breathing his coarse breath.

It is as bad as fate toying with innocent souls as they are. Johan nodded slowly.

My heart was even touched, seeing these children still laughing cheerfully despite growing up without parents.

Seli and Nini had already walked out. As usual Nini had to ask permission first to Tia's mother.

After getting permission, they walked out. Nini still felt awkward to invite Johan.

"Do you want to come too?" ask Nini when she gets close to Johan.

Nini walked ahead of Johan approaching Seli who was waiting for them in front of the entrance.

They're already in the car. Nini chose to sit in the back with Seli.

*A*I'm not your driver Madam . Johans

"alright. Which place are we going to?" ask Johan while turning on the car

"Seli, where are you going?" ask Nini gently.

"To the garden."

"Which garden was it?" Johan turned his face back.

" The flower garden, which has a lot of games" Seli replied as he spread out his hands.

Nini just laughed at Seli's behavior. Johan thought for a moment and nodded his head and ran his car.

Along the way Seli sang with his cherry, occasionally Nini sang along and both laughed cheerfully.

Johan glanced from the glass there was a happy feeling growing in his heart

Suddenly Nini's eyes met with the eyes of Johan who from earlier glanced at her. Johan immediately pretended to focus on his wheel.

20 Minutes away, they arrived at the city's largest park.

"Yee.. Finally arrived." Seli patted both of his hands

"Huhahahs.. Honey, you're funny." Nini rubbed Seli's hair.

"Let's get down." Johan took off his seatbelt to get off.

After descending, Seli ran cheerfully towards the park.

"Hey be careful." Nini warned with worry

"Leave it. He already understands enough to take care of himself." Johan said as he followed Nini who was running small

"I'm afraid he's either falling or getting too far away from us and.."

Johan put his index finger on Nini's lips

"Cjssshhhht... Don't think anything weird."

Nini's face turned red. I don't know if she's suddenly embarrassed by Johan's treatment.

Nini turned her face quickly so as not to see Johan pretending to look for Seli.

"He is waiting for us there" Johan said, pointing at Seli, who was standing, looking at the two. Johan clasped Nini's hand tightly and walked towards Seli.

Nini looked at Johan in confusion.

*What's with him? Why is he so soft ?

The three of them enjoyed the fun around the park.

After being satisfied around, they chose to sit on a garden chair near a shady tree.

"What do you want to eat?" ask Johan

"I want to eat ice cream, brother." Seli pointed to an ice cream car that was stuck near the children's playground

"Don't. Seli hasn't had lunch yet." Nini shakes.

"Yahhhhh..." Seli propped up her face with both hands, she looked extremely disappointed.

" Mmmm.. Yes, we bought it, we stopped by the park for lunch. So, Seli can still eat it." Johan's idea again makes Seli cheerful. Nini mangosteen heard the words of Johan

"Horeee thank you, sister" said Seli, hugging Johan.

Nini noticed Johan's attitude so well.

Maybe someday he'll be a good father.

The three of them looked like a happy little family.
