Chapter 44

Almost 11pm, Johan's car entered the yard. He came out and carried his wife.4 male servants who were there immediately rushed to help their master. They carefully lifted Nini's body up the stairs towards the room.

"Slow down!" tell Johan when they want to lay Nini in bed.

After finishing, they say goodbye out.

"Well, how does alcohol smell?" a waiter asked his friend in a quiet whisper.

"Shhh.. If Mr Johan heard what?" friends commemorate. They have returned to their positions.

Johan took his wife's clothes. He was a bit troubled to change Nini's clothes. He took out a cell phone and contacted a female servant.

"Take a friend of yours to my room right now." Johan turned off the phone.

The person he called had already come with his friend. Johan who was sitting next to Nini immediately stood up and told them to change his wife's clothes.

"Go and rest" Johan said after the two servants were done.

Johan approached Nini, watching her face. There was great regret in his heart.

"I'm sorry." He said he then tidied up Nini's hair and kissed her forehead.

Nini's body stinks of alcohol, but it doesn't make Johan to stay away from her. Johan hugged his wife until she fell asleep.

The mentari again greeted the earth. Nini opened her eyes slowly. He got up and sat on the edge of the bed. His hand held his head which was painful. Not long after that he ran towards the bathroom spewing out the remaining alcohol in his body. He sat down weakly holding his stomach. Once again he got up and kept vomiting. His body's getting limp.

Nini forced her legs to walk out. With great difficulty he finally arrived at the bed. On the edge of the bed was a small table, on top of which was a letter that was deliberately kept. Nini grabbed it and read the message.

Nini ignored the letter. The clock on the wall is 9am. He grabbed the glass filled with water near the letter and drank it in half. After feeling better, he went back to the bathroom to clean himself up.

After the shower, Nini's stomach rang. He walked towards the dining room. He passed through the living room, where Amel and Anna were recounting yesterday's events.

Anna cleared her throat as Nini passed them. Amel turned to look at Nini and pretended to laugh in order to make the woman angry.

"Sister Anna, embarrassed isn't it a public scramble?" Amel deliberately insinuates Nini.

"No dong, even proud. What else captured 2 handsome men and tajir." Anna also insinuated. It just so happens that everyone is out.

Nini pulled up the chair and started eating the food that was still provided there. Johan told him to put food there until his wife woke up and ate it. He continued to enjoy the food as if he did not hear the two.

"Ihh ogah. I'm ashamed, yes, the time is married yet still dare to seduce another guy? Haha." Amel laughed with satisfaction.

After eating and drinking, Nini walked over to the two.

" Are you laughing?" nini asked casually and then sat down facing them.

He grabbed a jar filled with cookies. Eating it then looked at the 2 women as if asking them to continue their story earlier.

Anna just fell silent. Amel wants to fish Nini.

" Where were you last night?" Amel pursed his lips cynically.

"Why?" Nini asked back while enjoying the snack.

"Are you asking because you're worried or just curious?" ask Nini again.

His eyes stared intently at the 2 women in front of him.

"You think?" Amel asked casually.

"I don't think you need to know." Nini smiled, put down the jar and walked over. Not too far away he stopped and turned again to face them.

" I thought you guys wanted to continue the cheap gossip just now when I was in front of you. You are just cowards."

"I'm not Nini's coward." Amel is standing

"Isn't he?"

"I want to say that you're a shameless, lowly woman. You married Johan and approached Adit's brother."

"So your pretty mouth is Amel. You're even lower than me, what do you expect to do by coming to this house?" Nini gave a small laugh shaking her head

"You hate me because I married Johan. You should have asked my mother-in-law why she chose me instead of you?"

"Because you're a cunning woman who pretends to be good in front of mom." Amel was getting furious to see Nini who looked ordinary.

"Thank you for your assessment, Miss. Honey, your judgment just makes it clear that that's who you are." Nini waved her hand while laughing softly and chose to return to her room.

Anna gulped her saliva watching them clash her mouth. Amel looked at Nini who left with hatred.

"Female usurper." Amel clenched his hand.

Nini sat on the edge of her bed, as she stood up and opened the window curtain to let the sunlight into the room. He stared far ahead, water droplets coming out of his eyes.

"Why me now?"

"I hate hostility. Before I married her, my life was fine. I was never dubbed a usurper."

Nini touched Johan's necklace yesterday. He roughly pulled the necklace and wanted to throw it through the window.

A man's hand quickly stopped Nini's movements. He knew it must be Johan.

Nini relaxed her hand, Johan let go of her grasp.

"You want to throw it away?" johan asked whispering to his wife's ears

Nini just kept quiet, wiped her tears and walked towards the sofa. The necklace was still in his hand. Johan sat beside Nini, he looked at his wife inside.

"I'm sorry." Johan wanted to caress his wife's face. But Nini brushed off that hand.

"I beg you to forgive me." Johan put on his face full of regret.

Nini was silent. She tried not to cry in front of her husband.

Johan touches Nini's hand, but is pushed back by his wife.

"Don't touch me. You can't touch a cheap woman like me." Nini's tears fell down again, she couldn't hold him back.

"I'm sorry Nini, I'm just carried away by emotions."

"So you mean, I have to understand your emotions?"

Johan was silent, he no longer knew what to say.

Nini looked at her husband.

"You're asking me to understand your emotions, and what about my feelings? Was it because of your momentary emotions that I had to be willing to feel hurt?" nini's cries were getting broken. Even Amel said earlier that she was a lowly woman.

Johan forcibly hugged his rebellious wife's body not wanting to be embraced.

"Take me off Johan." Nini tried to push her husband's body

"I'm sorry." Johan tightened his embrace and kissed Nini's shoulder.

Unconsciously, the man's tears fell.

"I love you Nini. I realized that. I don't want another man in your life. I beg you to forgive me." Johan's voice sounded clear that he was crying.

Nini stopped revolting. She heard her husband's slow sobs.

Johan let go of his embrace, he looked at Nini again.

"I'm sorry." Johan kissed his wife's forehead

"Do you want to forgive me?" ask Johan

"I forgive you, but on one condition."

"What's that?"

"Please promise me you'll obey." The two are still looking at each other.

"All right, I promise." Johan said with a heavy heart..She knew Nini would not want her money or property, she was just afraid that Nini would ask for a divorce.

"I've decided to stop working. But, I want to go home to both of my parents."

"You mean?" Johan asked again. He did not want to be separated from the woman he now loved

"I miss my parents and my family there. Let me go back."

"Return, what do you mean? You want us to separate?"

"No. I just want to visit."

Johan breathed a sigh of relief. He's feeling happy.

"Of course I want to. But don't be long." Johan was smiling again

"When do you want to go there? I'll set your departure schedule." Johan grabbed the necklace in Nini's hand and put it back on.

"Now." Nini looked at her husband

Johan turned his eyes away, like he was thinking of something.

" Are you serious?"

Nini was silent, but her face showed that she was not playing around.

"Alright, I'll ask the waiter to tidy up your things. Don't you want to bring ole-ole to your family?" Johan tries to find a reason for Nini to delay her trip.

"No need, they just want me back."

"You don't want to ask mom and dad for permission?"

"Of course I'll ask them for permission. But, whatever the reason I still have to go back."

Johan rubbed his face.

This is a risk I have to accept.

"Ni, I don't think this is the right way. You left when we were fighting." Johan held his wife's hand.

"No, I've forgiven you. We're no longer fighting, I just want to see my parents."

"Well, I'll call mom and dad."

After contacting father and mother, Johan did not expect them to easily give Nini permission.

He forcedly asked some servants to pack Nini's things.

Johan calls Doni, asking him to buy some gifts and a cell phone for his wife.

It didn't take long, everything was in order. Nini had already finished changing clothes. Just waiting for Doni to bring Johan's order.

"Let's go to the airport. Doni's gonna meet us there."

"Who's Doni?" ask Nini curiously

"Secretary and my best friend."

2 suitcases containing Nini's needs have been put in the trunk of the car.

Johan drove his car to the airport at a moderate speed.
