CHAPTER 76. Blind Poison

**THE FRONT ROOM OF GENERAL ZHONG GUO'S RESIDENCE***

Zhong Li aka King sat quietly in the front room. A Bai was inside King's lap and was fast asleep. King stroked A Bai's delicate and soft fur while revealing a blank look.

King thought of Xena who had not returned since following Aunt A Mei. King believes Xena must have discovered what secret Aunt A Mei kept about Ming Lan so King could not wait for General Zhong Guo to arrive at General Zhong Guo's residence soon .

A while later, suddenly A Bai who was sleeping soundly on King's lap woke up and jumped down on the floor.  A Bai howled shortly twice while looking towards the entrance of General Zhong Guo's residence.

The sharp sense of hearing from King , clearly hearing the sound of loud footsteps was heading to the front room of General Zhong Guo's residence.

King was sure that General Zhong Guo had already arrived at the residence with his soldiers and A Chen.

"Zhong Li's! You're okay, right?" general Zhong Guo asked as he looked intensely at the King from head to toe.

"Dad! I'm it's okay. Mother and Zhong Min went crazy!" king said with a blank eye.

King was sure that A Chen had explained everything to General Zhong Guo.

"Where are Ming Lan and Zhong Min?" general Zhong Guo asked with a serious face.

"They're both in Mom's room!" answer King.

"Come on, we're going there now!" general Zhong Guo said.

Hercules led King to follow General Zhong Guo to Ming Lan's bedroom. A Chen and some of General Zhong Guo's confidant soldiers also followed closely behind. As for the servants of General Zhong Guo's residence, none of them included A Tu.

***SLEEPROOM MING LAN***

General Zhong Guo opened the bedroom door and saw clearly Ming Lan and Zhong Min who were sitting on the chair in a bound and sculpted state due to his pulse by Xena.

General Zhong Guo's eyes were cold and there was no affection or pity on his face when he saw Ming Lan and Zhong Min .

A Chen had already told General Zhong Guo about the two Taoist priests who wanted to poison and drive Zhong Li crazy due to orders from someone.

General Zhong Guo who was experienced in the battlefield began to be suspicious of Ming Lan. All this time Zhong Li had never come out of General Zhong Guo's residence so there was no way Zhong Li could offend others and cause the person to take revenge.

The only most likely person who wanted to harm Zhong Li was Ming Lan.

General Zhong Guo stared intently at the lowered and agitated Aunt A Mei beside Ming Lan. Xena immediately saluted General Zhong Guo.

"General Zhong Guo! Xena caught Aunt A Mei wet opening a secret drawer belonging to Madame Ming Lan!" said Xena.

"Confidential drawer?" ask General Zhong Guo.

Xena pointed towards the foot of the bed. General Zhong Guo immediately approached the place followed by A Chen. A Chen who served as an investigator soldier observed objects that were in a private drawer intensely.

"General Zhong Guo! Can A Chen check it out?" ask A Chen to General Zhong Guo.

"Check!"general Zhong Guo said as he nodded his head.

Ten minutes later, A Chen gave his examination results to General Zhong Guo.

"Report General Zhong Guo!  All the little bottles that were inside the secret drawer were poison" A Chen said.

"Poisons?" general Zhong Guo said in a tone of disbelief.

General Zhong Guo caught a glimpse of the object inside the secret drawer and the small bottles numbered more than ten bottles, which proved Ming Lan was storing many kinds of poison without his knowledge.

"Why does Ming Lan have so many poisons? What does he want to do?" general Zhong Guo's heart.

"What kind of poison is it?" ask General Zhong Guo.

"Everything is a dangerous poison. I found one poison that could drive people crazy, just like the state of Madame Ming Lan and master Zhong Min right now," A Chen said.

"That means Ming Lan was exposed to her own poison?" ask General Zhong Guo.

"Most likely yes" replied A Chen.

"General Zhong Guo! Xena had already inspected all of those poison bottles and could confirm they were all dangerous poisons from the Bei Ming Kingdom!" said Xena.

"Is there anything to do with Bei Ming Kingdom?"  ask General Zhong Guo.

General Zhong Guo had a bad premonition after hearing the word Bei Ming Kingdom from Xena's mouth.  Emperor Wang had just ordered him to check on Prince Bei Chen Yi and Princess Bei Chen Hsuang regarding Chong Ren and the sorcerer. During a week-long incentive check with his special forces, General Zhong Guo did not find at all a single caterpillar there.  Now in his residence was found a dangerous poison that came from the Bei Ming Kingdom.

"General Zhong Guo! There was one bottle of poison whose contents were about to run out," A Chen said.

"What poison?" ask General Zhong Guo.

"Light poison!" answer A Chen .

A few seconds later, General Zhong Guo and A Chen looked towards the King simultaneously.
