CHAPTER 23. Odor poison

***RESIDENCE OF GENERAL ZHONG GUO***

All the servants of the residence of General Zhong Guo were busy buying all the fragrance ingredients to cover up Zhong Min's body odor.

While Zhong Li aka King, relaxed inside his bedroom.

King spent the dim sum of Hercules' cooking listening to Hercules' gossip.

Now King is having a sumptuous dinner of Hercules cuisine with Hercules and Xena.

"Xena! Your poison is so steady!" king said with an empty eye toward Hercules while enjoying his dinner.

"Young master Zhong Li! Xena is on the left. I'm the one sitting on the right now" said Hercules with a cape.

King turned his empty eyes to the left, towards Xena.

"The poison effect until the day after morning?" ask King.

"Yes, young master Zhong Li!" answer Xena.

King smiled faintly after listening to Xena's reply.

At first King wanted Xena to use poison to make Zhong Min's body itch so that Zhong Min would scratch his body continuously at the palace banquet tomorrow night.

But Xena tells King that she has a more potent poison. Toxins that can make a person's body emit a foul odor that is very pungent so that people around him can vomit and dizzy if not able to compromise with the smell.

Of course King prefers smelly poison over itchy poison.

The way the odor poison works is very easy and effective.

The smell poison is a white powder that directly absorbs into the clothes and will not be visible traces of white powder.

Xena sprinkled the white powder on the inside of the butterfly embroidery which was washed clean and will be delivered to Zhong Li's bedroom this morning.

When Zhong Min wore that butterfly embroidery suit, his stinky poison would instantly stick on Zhong Min's body and start to react.

Every time Zhong Min sweated then the foul odor that his body released would get worse and sting his nose.

The physician examining Zhong Min would have thought the source of the smell was from Zhong Min's own body.

Xena deliberately sprinkled her stinky poison with a small dose so that Zhong Min's body odor would disappear by itself the day after morning, after the completion of the palace banquet tomorrow night.

"Young master Zhong Li! Here's the antidote" Xena said as she handed a small parcel into King's hand.

King groped the contents of the small package in the form of small pills.

"Hercules! Make dried fruit sweets and put this antidote into it. Tomorrow take it to the palace banquet" King said.

"Well, young master Zhong Li!" answer Hercules.

The antidote in question is a medicine to make the nose become immune to the foul odor of Zhong Min's body.

Zhong Li's weak body would definitely not bear the stench of Zhong Min's body and would definitely vomit.

King does not want himself to be the victim of his good plan.

So King asked Xena to make an antidote that she would eat at the palace banquet tomorrow night.

King was sure that Zhong Min would definitely insist on attending the palace banquet by using a variety of fragrances to cover his body odor.

As King expected, Zhong Min would definitely insist on attending the palace banquet.

Ming Lan who was worried about Zhong Min's body odor spread inside Emperor Wang's palace, advised her beloved son to cancel the palace banquet.

Zhong Min rejected the advice of Ming Lan on the grounds that she as Princess Xing Xing's future husband should be present at the palace banquet.

Zhong Min already had plans to cover up his stinging body odor so that even Ming Lan could not ban Zhong Min from attending the palace banquet.

In the morning Zhong Min soaked in warm water with floral spices for three hours.

Then Zhong Min was in a state of plain body standing in his bedroom.

The servants of General Zhong Guo's residence surrounded him while throwing scented talcum powder onto his body.

They did it over and over again so that Zhong Min's entire body was like flour-flavored chicken.

Then the servants carried the scented incense and surrounded Zhong Min again so that the fragrance of the incense could seep into Zhong Min's body.

The ritual was performed for hours until it was time to leave for the palace, the servants helped to wear butterfly embroidery on Zhong Min's body.

Now Zhong Min's body did not emit a foul odor anymore but rather a multifaceted fragrance.

The servants used wooden stretchers to take Zhong Min out and board the horse carriage towards Emperor Wang's palace.

As much as possible Zhong Min restricted his body movements. If only to attend the palace banquet and go straight home, Zhong Min was sure the fragrance on his body could endure.

Zhong Min could not dance the butterfly dance at the palace banquet and only wore his clothes to make it look more attractive than Zhong Li aka King who was blind and only wore plain white clothes.

Ming Lan was in the same horse carriage as Zhong Min.

King was in another chariot with Hercules and Xena.

"Young master Zhong Li! Here is the dried fruit" said Hercules, handing a small bag over to King.

King took out three dried fruit candies into his palm and directly ate one.

"You eat!" said King .

"Thank you young master Zhong Li!" Xena and Hercules said together.

King kept a small pouch containing the remains of dried fruit sweets in his front waist belt to guard the palace banquet later.

While his waist belt behind him tucked a small knife he bought from a blacksmith craftsman.

"Zhong Min's! You think that fragrance can mask your body odor? Look at it later!" heart of King .
