CHAPTER 52. Wounded
***In the cave where the perennial grass is located***
Princess Jing Mi helped Zhong Li's body stand up from the ground where they were meditating earlier.
King bit his lower lip hard while enduring the burning and bone pain within his body due to the effects of the immortal grass he ate.
King tried to grab the small knife tucked in his waist with trembling hands.
"Save your strength to resist the reaction of the immortal grass," Princess Jing Mi said firmly.
The white pythons that came in front of the cave, which was the only way out of here plus the hundreds of small snakes surrounding them made the situation even more uncontrollable.
Princess Jing Mi and King couldn't possibly fight all those snakes in such a short period of time. The best way is to escape from this place.
Princess Jing Mi could easily leave this place with the science of lightening her body, whereas King had absolutely no strength to escape nor fight at this time.
"I'll get you out safely!" princess Jing Mi said.
Princess Jing Mi lifted King's body and shouldered it on her left shoulder, while her right hand held tightly to the long sword used to stab the black python's neck earlier.
One hard leg, Princess Jing Mi used the science of lightening her body to fly towards the white python that was blocking in front of the only way out.
Princess Jing Mi swung her sword towards the white python without hesitation, but the white python nimbly managed to dodge Princess Jing Mi's sabre.
Princess Jing Mi's goal was not to fight against the white python but rather to drive it away from the cave pit so that they could leave this place immediately. King's condition is very concerning and must continue his meditation immediately.
The eyes of the white python glittered full of fury as it could feel the blood of the black python snake attached to Princess Jing Mi's long sword.
The white python let out an enormous hissing sound and stomped its tail towards Princess Jing Mi's back loudly.
The king who was flanked by Princess Jing Mi saw clearly the tail of the white python that was heading towards them, while Princess Jing Mi was unaware of it due to the focus on the road before her.
"Be careful!" king shouted in a small voice and was heard by Princess Jing Mi's ears.
It was at that moment that Princess Jing Mi heard a strong gust of wind behind her back which was the flickering tail of a white python.
Princess Jing Mi reflexively tilted her body so that the King who was on her shoulders was protected. The tail of the white python managed to hit Princess Jing Mi's back hard.
Princess Jing Mi's footsteps staggered forward and even fell to the ground along with King.
Princess Jing Mi stood up quickly and tried to carry King on her shoulders again. King saw clearly the fresh blood spurting from Princess Jing Mi's mouth. King believes the lashing of the white python's tail caused Princess Jing Mi internal injuries.
"Daughter of Jing Mi!" said King.
"I will keep my promise!" princess Jing Mi said and stepped swiftly down the labyrinth inside the cave while following the sword scratches she left behind as a guide when they entered the cave earlier.
King breathed a sigh of relief as the white python and hundreds of other small snakes did not chase after them. Perhaps they were lamenting the death of the black python or the slithering beasts had never left the room where the precious grass was.
Finally Princess Jing Mi managed to bring King out of the long and narrow cave. The two of them returned to their original place, where they gathered with Xena later.
Xena was still not there so Princess Jing Mi helped to seat King slowly. Princess Jing Mi also sat beside King in a cross-legged position.
King continued his meditation. This time King clearly felt the bones inside his body crumble. The bones then slowly recombine.
King tried to endure the excruciating pain and did not show him the expression of pain on his face. King did not want Princess Jing Mi who had already suffered a deep wound to have to channel her inner strength to help him again.
King's strong efforts and determination allowed him to get through the challenge this time. After experiencing pain and burning for a long time, King slowly opened his eyes.
King's sharp eyes looked like light radiating in all directions. Zhong Li's weak body had already been reborn into a strong body. King could feel a powerful inner force flowing within his body.
"Daughter of Jing Mi! I succeeded!" said King while looking towards the side where Princess Jing Mi was.
The wide smile on King's face turned into a worried look when he saw Princess Jing Mi lying beside him with a pale face .
"Daughter of Jing Mi! Princess Jing Mi!" King yelled out to Princess Jing Mi but there was no answer at all from Princess Jing Mi's mouth.
King brought his ears closer to Princess Jing Mi's face and heard the sound of weak breathing from Princess Jing Mi's nose. King scanned his surroundings to look for Xena who had not been seen at all.
"Xena's not back yet! What am I supposed to do?" said King's heart.
King opened the burlap pouch which was his doraemon pouch to search around for if there was anything inside there that could help Princess Jing Mi at the moment.
King's eyes twinkled as he looked at the small pouch containing the gall of a black python.
King raised Princess Jing Mi's body slowly, sat down, and leaned Princess Jing Mi's back against her chest. The King supported Princess Jing Mi's body with her body.
"This bile can definitely help him!" king said as he pulled the bile out of the pouch and bit it into small pieces before stuffing it into Princess Jing Mi's mouth.
King fed the black python bile into Princess Jing Mi's mouth patiently while pouring little by little water from the skin's drinking bag.
Moments later after Princess Jing Mi managed to swallow all the black python bile, King examined Princess Jing Mi's state.
The look on Princess Jing Mi's face, which was originally pale, slowly began to disappear. The breath from Princess Jing Mi's nose sounded even stronger than before. King was sure for a while Princess Jing Mi's life could be helped while waiting for Xena to return.
At first King wanted to channel his inner power to Princess Jing Mi. But the abundant inner power within his body had just obtained it and he had no idea how to use it at all.
King stared at Princess Jing Mi's partially masked face intensely. King still vividly remembered the long scratches on Princess Jing Mi's face so as to make King's eyes turn red with anger.
"Daughter of Jing Mi! I will definitely help you get revenge!" King promised in his heart.
The sense of solidarity shown by Princess Jing Mi towards him while in the siege of the white python and hundreds of small snakes touched King.
King closed his eyes tightly with the intention to rest for a while. Slowly King fell asleep with a sitting position.
