A Valuable Lesson in Being a Mom

The rest of the day at the Hospital Sara lived by learning to bathe baby Evan from nurses. It's like taking a Neonatal class, or a class to learn to prepare for caring for a newborn. Usually the new mothers feel less experienced, still have a lot to learn, because the rest of the day really used Sara to learn.

At first Sara was afraid to bathe Evan. The baby looks so tiny, it seems fragile, which is why Sara is scared. However, the nurse at the place helped and motivated Sara to dare to try.

“Aduh, it feels like I'm scared ..” Sara told the nurse.

“It's okay Ms. Sara .. it's natural. New Moms are usually afraid of holding their own babies. It is natural, but if constantly afraid it becomes impossible. Though the baby must be cared for by his mother to get affection from his mother,” explained the nurse.

Sara nodded, “Alright .. I will learn,” she said.

Even though holding baby Evan still looks stiff, but Sara still learned to bathe the baby with warm water, cleaning the body of her son whose skin is so soft, and then Sara learned to dry Evan's umbilical cord first, then put clothes on to her son.

A smile flashed across Sara's face as she had managed to bathe and put on clothes on Baby Evan.

“Wah, you're so cute, son,” praise Sara to her son.

The nurse smiled, “True .. very cute baby,” said the nurse who also praised the good looks of baby Evan.

“Now learn to bang a chapter ya Bu. Remember yes, the gedong is not for twisting the baby. The bag is just so the baby feels warm. Too hard twists actually damage the baby's posture,” is clear from the nurse.

Sara nodded and had to remember that the gedong worked only to warm the baby.

Begin the nurse arranging the cloth for the gedong, making a triangular shape. Then put the baby's body on the tip, then start wrapping the baby, tidying it up and binding it on the legs.

“Well, now please Bu Sara follow the way earlier and learn to bang her Baby,” instructions from the nurse.

Sara tried to repeat the way of pounding and began to practice it slowly. Again the woman smiled when she managed to hold Baby Evan.

“Oke can already yes Bu Sara, now can rest. While the baby is sleeping, Miss Sara may want to clean herself up,” explained the nurse and began to say goodbye out of Sara's room.

What the nurse said was right, Sara wanted to clean herself up. Presumably a bath with warm water can refresh him. For that, Sara then slightly woke up Belva who was asleep on the sofa.

“Pak Belva,” wean.

“Hmm, what's up?” apparently Belva also quickly replied. The man then rubbed his eyes and immediately sat down.

“Can you please take care of Baby Evan first no sir? I'm going to take a shower,” told Belva.

Belva then stood up, she arranged the shower water in the bathroom into warm water with the right temperature. Then the man opened Sara's suitcase, intending to prepare the woman's change of clothes.

“Come, I'll take you to the bathroom,” he said.

Belva quickly takes Sara into the bathroom. “You can shower yourself?” the question is now to Sara.

“Can Sir,” answer.

Belva then nodded, “Alright .. don't lock the door. If there is anything call my name,” said the man.

“It's done?” asked Belva who was standing by the bathroom door.

“Iya already ...,” Sara replied briefly.

“Your face is pale,” said Belva who immediately panicked to see the face of Sara who was again pale. The man immediately embraced Sara's shoulder, helping the woman walk back to her safe. “You sick?” ask again.

Sara quickly shook her head, “Negak .. only I was afraid I saw a lot of puerperal blood. So dizzy,” he said now.

“Sorry yes .. surely all this hurts you,” said Belva who felt bad and at the same time pity Sara.

“It's okay Sir,” he said.

Belva then helped Sara to dry the woman's hair that was still half wet with a small towel, and combed it slowly. After that, Belva without permission immediately grabbed Sara's body in her arms, her hands moving gently rubbed Sara's back.

“I run out of words every time I talk to you. In essence, thank you so much, you make me dreams come true,” said the man.

Sara slightly nodded, although she did not make a sound and did not answer at all. At least Sara needs a Belva hug this time. There was at least a warm embrace that grabbed him, calming him for a moment. This time, Sara forgot for a moment the bitter taste in her heart, both of her hands moving and circling Belva's waist. Sara seemed to close her eyes and enjoy the warmth Belva gave her.

Until late in the night, the two were only involved in a few chats, and sometimes Sara gave ASI to Evan. Because of sleepiness, Sara also chose to sleep. The night passed with Sara sleeping on the gurney, and Belva sleeping on the couch.

The next day …

After breakfast at the Hospital, Belva and Sara prepare to return home. The man seemed to be helping Sara pack. Tidying up Sara's belongings as well as hers. Pay the entire cost of Sara's labor, and also get the medicine for Sara.

“You can walk?” ask Belva now to Sara.

The woman also quickly nodded, “Iya .. The road slowly can certainly be,” replied Sara.

Although sometimes the stitches are still sore and painful, but since yesterday Sara has been able to walk. However, he still had to walk slowly because he could not walk fast.

Belva nodded, the man then equated his footsteps with Sara's feet now.

“Slow-slow only. Your safety is much more important, Sara,” the man said.

“Makasih Pak Belva,” said Sara who was walking slowly and also while carrying Baby Evan with both hands.

“We go home well,” Belva said this time.

“Iya Pak,” says Sara with brief.

Sara just followed Belva. Returning home to the Belva residence, while Sara takes time to fully recover after her delivery. So the woman followed Belva.
